The long read

Who they say they are, and what the record says

7 Stax is a brand of chewable tablets, sold on its own Shopify storefront, 7stax.com, through online kratom shops, and on smoke-shop counters. Its storefront calls itself the “official marketplace for 7stax premium 7 oh tablets”.[1] The name on the box is all most buyers ever saw. In May 2025 one asked whether the company was real, because “this brand has no real website”, and another answered: “i think this brand is owned by a company called elxr”.[2] The public record bears the guess out.

On 2026-01-29 a California corporation applied to register 7STAX as a trademark: “owner name urban packaging corp”, at “330 wall st ste 1” in Los Angeles. The goods are “dietary supplements also containing kratom nutritional supplements in the form of tablets and liquids”, and the application claims “first use anywhere date at least as early as 12 09 2024”.[3] The same company owns an older application, ELYXR LA, filed in 2022 for vape and hemp goods; its status record lists the trade name the owner does business under: “dba aka dba elyxr com”.[4] Elyxr was where 7 Stax was first sold online. The first Reddit post that names the brand, on 2025-01-04, is headed “7stax 15ct legit on elyxr com”,[5] five weeks before 7stax.com existed. A buyer wrote in November 2025 that “i buy through elyxer 7staxs online wholesale”.[6]

The top of the 7stax.com home page as filed with the USPTO in January 2026: a banner of 7 Stax bottles, blister cards and a 50 mg 7-OH shot beside the 7STAX logo with the word 7-Hydroxymitragynine and the slogan Lowest Prices. Highest Potency., then a row headed MIT Tablets with four Nano Tech Mitragynine products and a row headed 100mg Tablets with three Premium 7-OH Kratom Alkaloid products.
Figure 1. The specimen Urban Packaging Corp. filed with its trademark application: a screenshot of the brand's storefront, accessed 2026-01-11. The logo itself carries the word 7-Hydroxymitragynine. [3]

Urban Packaging Corp. was registered in California in March 2018 (“7 mar 2018 registration”), at “330 s wall street unit 1 los angeles”.[7] Since 2025 it has registered as a foreign corporation in about seventeen other states, Texas and Florida among them.[8][9] Florida's record shows it as a “branch of urban packaging corp california us”, with its “head office address 330 wall st ste 1 los angeles ca 90013”.[9] The Texas record, filed as an “8 nov 2025 application for registration”, carries a second name: “alternative names 7stax corp trading name”, dated “7stax corp trading name 2025 11 10”.[8] That is the closest the documents come to saying that 7 Stax and Urban Packaging Corp. are one business. No record we read names its officers.

The brand's other addresses point elsewhere. The domain was registered on 2025-02-08 through Squarespace with the registrant's details withheld except the state, Florida.[10] The contact page gave a Miami-area phone number, “phone number 786 770 1831”, and office hours in Pacific time: “you can reach us m f between 9am 6pm pst”.[11] A blister card photographed on 2026-10-01 names a distributor in Idaho: Dist by 7STAX, at 1846 1st St, Idaho Falls.[12] A buyer of the mitragynine bottles in Ohio wrote in May 2026 that the earlier bottles said “distributed by urban packaging”, and another replied “mine say distributed by 7stax”.[13]

A vertical timeline from March 2018 to October 2026: Urban Packaging Corp. registered in California; the ELYXR LA trademark; first use of 7STAX; the first Reddit post; the domain; a brand certificate over the solvent limits; the first archived storefront; Nano Tech tablets; the Texas trading name; the trademark application; the relabel; TestMyKratom's MGM-15 results; the brand certificate reporting MGM-15 not detected; the CFSRE alert; the DEA order; the trademark refusal; the last-chance banner.

What they sell

7-OH tablets and shots, from late 2024. The first archive copy of the storefront, from 2025-08-13, sells nothing but 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-OH): tablets at 20, 30, 50, 80 and 100 mg in singles, cards and bottles of fifteen, from “premium 7 oh kratom alkaloid tablets 20mg 1 count” upward, and a liquid shot, “7oh shot 50mg”.[1][14] The banner over them read Lowest Prices. Highest Potency. The page invited shops to apply: “authorized resellers become a 7stax reseller”.[1] It did not ship to five states: “this product is not available for shipment to the following states alabama arkansas indiana rhode island wisconsin”.[1]

The 7stax.com home page in August 2025, with its age check hidden: a banner reading 7Stax 7-OH Shots Buy 1, Get 1 FREE, the 7STAX logo, a hero image of shots, bottles and blister cards beside the slogan Lowest Prices. Highest Potency., and a row headed 80mg Tablets.
Figure 3. 7stax.com on 2025-08-13, the first readable archive copy: 7-OH tablets from 20 to 100 mg and a 50 mg shot, nothing else. [1]

By October 2026 the line had grown to a 150 mg tablet, “premium 7 oh kratom alkaloid tablets 150mg 1 count”, and to bottles of five hundred 80 mg tablets, “premium 7 oh kratom alkaloid tablets 40000mg 500 count”.[15] In February 2026 a buyer who found an unreleased 150 mg tablet in a shop asked the company what was in it, and reported its answer: “because this item is still in the testing stages we can not divulge what is in this formula before it hits market”.[16]

Nano Tech Mitragynine, from October 2025. In autumn 2025 the brand added a second line for buyers in states that had banned 7-OH. The listing said “each chewable tablet contains 80mg of mitragynine enhanced with nano technology”, “for faster absorption and dependable onset”, and offered “the next generation of kratom products”.[17] Mitragynine is the main alkaloid of the kratom leaf. The card in the brand's own product image said more than the listing: Next Generation Mitragynine Blend, and under the flavour, Boosted With Proprietary Alkaloid. A buyer who posted that image on 2025-10-31 had “mistakenly bought these as the ss employee said it was 7 and the packaging is so similar”, and wrote: “its supposedly mit but they also are using the classic proprietary blend term”.[18] Which alkaloid boosted the blend, the card did not say.

A product image of a red 7 Stax blister card of five tablets: 7STAX Next Generation Mitragynine Blend, 80 MG PER TAB, Nano Tech Mitragynine, Strawberry, and a band reading Boosted With Proprietary Alkaloid, 20 mg per 1 serving, 1/4 tab = 1 serving, 21+.
Figure 4. The Nano Tech card as it reached Reddit in October 2025: sold as mitragynine, and boosted with an alkaloid the card does not name. [18]

The relabel, March 2026. In the first week of March 2026, days after the first test results described below, a buyer noticed that the proprietary blend “was removed from the label so i checked their website and sure enough it” was gone. The brand's own listing now showed a card reading Mitragynine and Dietary Supplement, while a retailer still showed the old one.[19] The same buyer wrote that “i originally started using these to get off a pharma oxy addiction” and was now weighing whether to stop.[19] Another reader said “the nano tech is still there at kures”, the web shop with its own dossier.[19]

Two phone screenshots side by side. Left, a retailer's listing of a pink 7 Stax card, Next Generation Mitragynine Blend, 80 mg per tab, Nano Tech Mitragynine, Mixed Berry, with a band reading with Proprietary Alkaloid. Right, the 7stax.com listing of a red card, 7STAX Mitragynine, 80 mg per tab, Nano Tech Mitragynine, Strawberry, Dietary Supplement.
Figure 5. March 2026, as a buyer posted it: the old card at a retailer (left) and the brand's own listing (right). The blend and the proprietary alkaloid are gone; Dietary Supplement is new. [19]

In April 2026 the listing was the same as before. By the end of May it carried a new disclaimer: “this product contains mitragyna speciosa mitragynine and is formulated with standard excipients”, and the word nano “refers solely to a particle size reduction process designed to enhance dispersion and consistency it does not indicate a proprietary blend added compounds or a separate active ingredient”.[20][21]

The Next Generation Mitragynine Blend name came back in September 2026, on five-packs a Florida buyer found in a shop: “next generation mitragynine blend from 7stax”, “these new 5 packs came today”.[22] A card another buyer photographed on 2026-10-01 says only Mitragynine on the front and carries a full alkaloid table on the back (see Regulatory and legal).[12]

October 2026. On 2026-10-01 the storefront opened under a countdown: “last chance to order 7 oh”. The mitragynine tablets had a row of their own, up to “nano tech mitragynine tablets 1800mg 15 count”, and the shipping exclusions now ran to seven states, Florida among them: “this product is not available for shipment to the following states alabama arkansas connecticut florida indiana louisiana wisconsin”.[15]

The 7stax.com home page on 2026-10-01, with its age check hidden: a green banner of a 50 mg 7-OH shot, a red 7 Stax Mitragynine card of 120 mg per tab, a bottle and a single pack beside the logo and the slogan Premium Quality. Powerful Potency. Better Prices., then a row headed MIT Tablets of Nano Tech Mitragynine bottles and cards.
Figure 6. 7stax.com on 2026-10-01, under a countdown headed last chance to order 7 oh. The mitragynine tablets now come first. [15]

Nine days later a buyer in r/7ohm asked “so are the 7stax that say boosted with proprietary alkaloid the only ones with mgm”, having bought old-stock cards from a shop worker who “had to walk out the store and grab them from his van”.[23]

What buyers report

We searched the local Arctic Shift archive of the 7-OH, kratom and opioid subreddits for the brand's spellings (7 Stax, 7Stax, 7-Stax, 7 Staxx, Seven Stax) on 2026-10-12. 1,313 posts name it between 2025-01-04 and 2026-10-09: 568 in r/7_hydroxymitragynine, 381 in r/7oh, 268 in r/7ohm, 39 in r/SR17018, 28 in r/QuittingKratom and the rest in seven smaller subreddits. 277 are from 2025 and 1,036 from 2026; 663 have the brand in the title. We read 38 threads with their comments, chosen for lab results, label changes, counterfeits and complaints.[24]

The table counts posts whose title or text contains the words in the first column. It is a search, not a reading, and a post can match several rows; it says what buyers talk about, not how often a thing happened.

Posts that mention Posts
Praise: best, favourite, love, fire, hits 307
Price, a deal or wholesale 266
Nano Tech, mitragynine or a proprietary blend 255

Weak, bunk or under-dosed 103
An adverse effect: dizzy, sick, heart, vomiting 60

Counterfeit, fake or knock-off 16

Praise is the largest group, and much of it is for the 80 mg tablets. When the 2026 test results arrived, a buyer wrote “i solely use 7stax and now it makes a little more sense why”, and another drew the line where most of the thread did: “adding the mgm isn't the problem the problem is not giving ur customers the option to decide”.[25] MGM-15 is the subject of 126 posts, almost all from 2026. Withdrawal is the next theme: 241 posts, many in r/QuittingKratom and r/SR17018, a subreddit named after a research opioid.[24]

Solvent complaints run from 2025. A buyer in November 2025 headed a post “7stax super strong smell and taste of nail polish remover”,[6] and another in May 2026 wrote of a new bottle that “this new bottle i got tastes like gasoline more chemically”.[13]

Lab results

What the brand publishes. The storefront links to a library of certificates from PharmLabs San Diego, a commercial laboratory that tests for many brands in this market. In August 2025 a buyer posted one of them, with the title “elxyr deleted these solvent labs for a batch of 7stax back in february”. The poster remembered the Elyxr “website listing for their 7stax products having these labs attached along with the potency labs”.[26] The certificate, SD250204-008, is for a 7OH Kratom Alkaloid Mint Tab tested for 7stax in February 2025. It finds 20.95 mg of 7-OH a serving, 63.03 mg a tablet. In its residual-solvent table, methanol is 7,509.2 micrograms a gram against a limit of 5,000 printed beside it, and chloroform 5.5 against a limit of 1.[26]

The top of a PharmLabs San Diego certificate of analysis, SD250204-008, 7OH Kratom Alkaloid Mint Tab, tested for 7stax, February 2025: 7-hydroxy mitragynine 20.95 mg per serving and 63.03 mg per unit; residual solvents including methanol 7509.2 against a limit of 5000 and chloroform 5.5 against a limit of 1.
Figure 7. The brand's own certificate for a mint 7-OH tablet, February 2025, as a buyer saved it. Methanol and chloroform are both over the limits printed beside them. Signature cropped. [26]

A community tester, 2025. TestMyKratom buys products, sends them to commercial laboratories, and posts the results. Its first 7 Stax tests, of tablets from a September 2025 batch (“batch 2025 09”), found all three below the label. The best was mint: “7stax mint tablets contained 15 39mg of 7 hydroxy which was about 23 weaker than its 20mg claim”. The spearmint 30 mg: “7stax spearmint tablets contained 19 98mg of 7 hydroxy which was about 33 weaker than its 30mg claim”.[27] The Blue Raspberry 20 mg held 13.45 mg.[28] The certificate behind the spearmint result, from Anresco Laboratories, also lists 1.53 mg of mitragynine pseudoindoxyl a tablet and a “residual solvent screen pass”.[29] When the tester posted these in December, one reader objected that “this batch doesn't even exist anymore”.[28]

MGM-15 in the 7-OH tablets, 2026. In February 2026 TestMyKratom sent a 100 mg Banana tablet to NN Analytics in San Diego. The sample name on the certificate is “7stax 100mg banana 7 oh tablet mgm15”: the tester asked for MGM-15 by name. Per tablet the laboratory found 122.33 mg of 7-OH and 9.09 mg of MGM-15, dihydro-7-hydroxymitragynine, a semi-synthetic opioid made from a kratom alkaloid.[30] The certificate adds that the MGM-15 figure “has had its method validated by nn analytics but not by anab and is therefore not an iso17025 accredited work item”, unlike the other analytes.[30]

An NN Analytics certificate of analysis for customer Test My Kratom, sample 2602-160, 7Stax 100mg Banana 7-OH tablet MGM15, lot 2026-02, received 2/6/2026, with photographs of the front and back of a 7 Stax 100 mg Banana card: per unit 7-OH mitragynine 122.33 mg, mitragynine pseudoindoxyl 3.04 mg, mitragynine 1.62 mg, MGM-15 9.09 mg, total alkaloids 136.73 mg; volatile solvents all pass.
Figure 8. The certificate behind the tester's 100 mg result. 122.33 mg of 7-OH, and 9.09 mg of MGM-15 in a tablet whose card names only 7-OH. Signatures cropped. [30]

TestMyKratom published the results on 2026-03-13: “7stax 100mg banana 7 oh tablet potency claim 100mg per tablet lab result 122 33mg per tablet other result 9 09mg per tablet grade f”, and for a second flavour, “7stax 100mg triple berry 7 oh tablet potency claim 100mg per tablet lab result 97 59mg per tablet other result 5 76mg per tablet grade f”.[31] Two 80 mg tablets followed on 2026-03-25: Apple Pie, “lab result 75 93mg per tablet other result 6 83mg per tablet grade f”, and Raspberry, “lab result 83 79mg per tablet other result 6 77mg per tablet grade f”.[32] On Reddit the second figure is called Other Result; in the emails the tester sent to subscribers it is called MGM-15 Result.[25] So the four tablets held about their labelled 7-OH and failed anyway. The tester's brand page gives the reason. “7stax 80mg apple pie tablets backed up their 7 oh claim”, and “the reason this product received an f rating is that it contains 6 83mg of unadvertised mgm 15”. It goes further than the numbers: MGM-15, it says, is not made in the ordinary production of 7-OH, “so this was added intentionally to the product”.[33] That is TestMyKratom's inference; the certificates show the compound, not how it got there. Readers had already drawn the same line: “they got an f bc of the undisclosed em ge em in the tabs”.[32] Our deep dive on the label and the laboratory puts these figures beside those for other brands, and the one on what replaced 7-OH explains MGM-15.

A phone screenshot of a TestMyKratom result email: 7Stax 80mg Apple Pie tablets, a photo of a green single-tablet pack, Potency claim 80mg per tablet, Lab Result 75.93mg per tablet, MGM-15 Result 6.83mg per tablet, Grade F.
Figure 9. TestMyKratom's result email for an 80 mg 7-OH tablet, March 2026. The 7-OH met the label; the grade is F, and the line above it is MGM-15. [25]

MGM-15 in the mitragynine tablets. On 2026-04-02 the tester published three Nano Tech tablets: “7stax 60mg blue razz nano tech tablet potency claim 60mg per tablet lab result 16 70mg per tablet other result 12 00mg per tablet grade f”; “7stax 80mg mixed berry nano tech tablet potency claim 80mg per tablet lab result 22 69mg per tablet other result 17 34mg per tablet grade f”; “7stax 80mg raspberry nano tech tablet potency claim 80mg per tablet lab result 23 10mg per tablet other result 17 64mg per tablet grade f”.[34] The certificate behind the first is Cora Science's, for “7stax 60mg blue razz nano tech tablet”: “mitragynine report results 16 7 mg unit”, “dihydro 7 hydroxymitragynine report results 12 0 mg unit”, and “7 hydroxymitragynine report results 0 445 mg unit”.[35] A tablet sold as 60 mg of mitragynine held 16.7 mg of it, and 12 mg of a compound its label did not name. On these the tester adds that “this product would have still received an f even if it contained no mgm 15”, for the shortfall in mitragynine.[33]

A Cora Science certificate of analysis for TestMyKratom.org, sample I18245, 7Stax 60mg Blue Razz Nano Tech tablet, lot 2026-03, received 12 March 2026: mitragynine 16.7 mg per unit, 7-hydroxymitragynine 0.445, mitragynine pseudoindoxyl 0.110, total mitragyna alkaloids 21.2; and below, from the second page, dihydro-7-hydroxymitragynine 12.0 mg per unit.
Figure 10. A Nano Tech tablet sold as 60 mg of mitragynine: 16.7 mg of mitragynine and, on the certificate's second page, 12.0 mg of MGM-15. [35]

A forensic laboratory. In May 2026 the Center for Forensic Science Research and Education published a test purchase of MGM-15 products. One of the four is a 7 Stax card: “7 stax mitragynine 80 mg nano tech mitragynine dihydro 7 hydroxy mitragynine mitragynine”, that is, advertised as 80 mg of Nano Tech Mitragynine, and found to contain MGM-15 and mitragynine.[36] The report gives no amounts. It describes the trend the card belongs to: “kratom alkaloids now appear under the guise of” proprietary-blend labelling, or “scientific buzz words e g” nano tech.[36]

The brand's certificates after the results. At the end of April 2026 a buyer posted the brand's newest certificate under the title “7stax has added mgm15 to their lab reports”. It is PharmLabs SD260409-013, for a 100 mg 7OH Raspberry tablet, batch R4RB726: 93.82 mg of 7-OH a serving, and a row for MGM-15 reading not detected. A reader pointed out the row's meaning: “it does show mgm as something the could test for but it didn” find any.[37]

A PharmLabs San Diego certificate of analysis, SD260409-013, 7STAX 100mg 7OH Raspberry, tested for 7stax, batch R4RB726, April 2026: 7-hydroxy mitragynine 93.82 mg per serving, MGM-15 not detected, mitragynine 2.26 mg per serving.

Regulatory and legal

An FDA search of its warning-letter index on 2026-10-12, for the brand, its domain, Urban Packaging Corp. and Elyxr, found no letter.[38]

The trademark. The USPTO examined the 7STAX application in September 2026. It found “no conflicting marks found” in its search, and refused the mark anyway: “registration is refused because the applied for mark is not in lawful use in commerce”.[39] The reason is the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. The examiner quotes the FDA's position that “the fda has concluded that kratom is a new dietary ingredient”, and finds that “the record is devoid of any evidence that applicant provided the fda with the requisite premarket notification” for it.[39] The office action also asks the applicant a question: “is 7 oh or 7 hydroxymitragynine commonly referred to in the relevant industry as simply 7 or seven”.[39] The applicant has three months from 2026-09-14 to answer.

Two passages from a USPTO office action: the heading Section 1 and 45 Unlawful Use Refusal, Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, and the sentence Registration is refused because the applied-for mark is not in lawful use in commerce; and below it the question Is 7-OH (or 7-Hydroxymitragynine) commonly referred to in the relevant industry as simply 7 or seven?

MGM-15. The DEA placed MGM-15 in Schedule I by temporary order: “this temporary order is effective august 26 2026 until august 26 2028”.[40] Florida had already listed “Dihydro-7-hydroxymitragynine (MGM-15)” in its emergency rule.[41] A buyer whose shop kept selling 7 Stax wrote on 2026-10-01 that “my local shop continued to sell remaining 7stax items after aug 26 until they were sold out”, then stocked new cards in the old designs. Reading the new card's batch certificate, the buyer concluded that “these don't contain any 7oh or m only mitragynine”.[12] The back of that card lists MGM-15, MGM-16 and pseudoindoxyl as not detected, under a footnote saying they must not be present in kratom products under Florida law, and prints 7-OH as four parts per million on a dry weight basis.[12]

The back of a 7 Stax blister card: Supplement Facts, serving size 1/4 tablet, mitragynine 20 mg, other alkaloids under 5 per cent; a compound table listing 7-hydroxymitragynine under .004 mg/g, mitragynine pseudoindoxyl, 7-acetoxymitragynine, MGM-15 and MGM-16 as ND; a footnote reading Must not be present in Kratom Products under Florida law, and a rule number 5KER26-9(3).

7-OH. On 2026-10-09 the DEA filed a temporary order placing 7-OH and pseudoindoxyl above a threshold in Schedule I, for publication on 2026-10-14.[42] The storefront's “last chance to order 7 oh” countdown was already running on 2026-10-01.[15]

Allegations: who says what, why, and what we could check

That 7 Stax put MGM-15 in its tablets without saying so. This is the main charge in the 2026 threads, and the one the record can check. Buyers compared it with Limitless, another tablet brand the same tester graded. A reader in February 2026 thought “seems limitless and 7stax may have this in common”, and another replied that “limitless black did not test positive for emgeem”.[43] What we could check: two laboratories working for TestMyKratom found MGM-15 in four 7-OH tablets and in three Nano Tech tablets, and CFSRE found it in a Nano Tech card; no label we saw named it before the late-2026 cards, which list it as not detected.[31][32][35][36][12] The Nano Tech card's “Boosted With Proprietary Alkaloid” does not say which alkaloid.[18] The brand's own certificates added a row for MGM-15 in April 2026 and report it not detected in the batch tested.[37] The brand's site says nano “does not indicate a proprietary blend added compounds or a separate active ingredient”, a sentence that first appears in May 2026.[21] We found no statement from the company about the test results.

That counterfeit 7 Stax is on sale. Sixteen posts use the word. A Kures buyer wrote in January 2026 that “they sent me a counterfeit bottle of 7stax i have proof of the bottle and the tablets”.[44] In July a buyer compared two 100 mg cards and asked whether real ones ever lacked the Dietary Supplement “text on front of package”; a reader answered “yeah the print quality on the right is way worse”, and another that “literally anyone can buy hundreds to thousands of empty 7oh branded packages from alibaba”.[45] In September two more buyers described tablets “kind of soft and mushy” and “way thinner and taste way different”; in both threads other readers replied that the tablets “definitely vary batch to batch” and “theyre not fake thays normal on bottles vs blisters”.[46][47] Nobody posted a test of a card they believed was fake.

Two blue 7 Stax blister cards side by side on a wooden table, both 7-Hydroxymitragynine Premium Kratom Alkaloids, 100 MG PER TAB, Blue Razz. The left card is opened and printed Dietary Supplement; the right card is sealed and has no such line.
Figure 16. A buyer's comparison, July 2026: the card on the right, the buyer believed, was a counterfeit. Nobody tested it. [45]

That 7 Stax and another brand press the same tablet. A buyer in January 2026 compared Nano Tech tablets with mitragynine tablets from another brand: “opened the package and they look the exact same”.[48] A photograph of two tablets cannot settle it, and no document we found names the factory that presses either.

If you bought a 7 Stax product and had it tested, or received one you believe was counterfeit, rate it below or comment on the thread at the foot of this page.

Still open

Who runs Urban Packaging Corp. The trademark and the Texas trading name tie the brand to it; the records we read do not name its officers, and the Idaho Falls address on the card and the Florida details of the domain are not explained by anything we read.

Whether the company answers the trademark refusal. The deadline is three months from 2026-09-14.

What the 150 mg tablet contains, and whether the Next Generation Mitragynine Blend of September 2026 is the same formula as the Nano Tech tablets the laboratories tested. A buyer sent the new cards to TestMyKratom; no result had been posted by 2026-10-12.[22]

Whether 7 Stax still sells 7-OH after the federal order takes effect.

2026-10-12: linked to the Elyxr dossier; the same company runs the shop and applied for 7STAX.[4]
