Amsterdam Smoke Shop: a Long Beach smoke shop's web store, and the company its terms say also runs Pure Leaf Kratom

Who they say they are, and what the record says

Amsterdam Smoke Shop is the web store of a smoke-shop business from Long Beach, California. Its logo says “EST. 2008”, and the business's older domain, amsterdamllc.com, was registered on 2008-06-26.[1] The first archived page of that domain, from April 2009, reads “welcome to amsterdam retail services llc”.[2] The web store at amsterdamsmoke.shop was first archived on 2023-01-28, and the archive holds 3,343 distinct addresses from it up to June 2026.[3]

In 2023 the store called itself “amsterdam smoke vape online store”, and its menu was what a walk-in smoke shop sells: pipes, vaporisers and “hookah hookah charcoal hookah tobacco hookah pipes cbd kratom”.[4] Its About page described a hookah bar, asked readers to “come visit both of our stores”, and claimed a distributor's role in a sentence that begins “amsterdam llc is proud to serve as one of the region”.[5] The privacy policy named the company and two addresses: “amsterdam retail services llc 315 pine ave long beach ca 90802 united states usa office 1892 freeman ave signal hill ca 90755”.[6] The contact page gave the same “usa office 1892 freeman ave signal hill ca 90755”.[7] By December 2023 the site had moved to a new shop platform with a footer reading “footer start 315 pine ave long beach ca 90802 call us at 562 375 4111”,[8] and in 2024 it listed two store phones, “lakewood store 562 804 7200 long beach store 562 495 7000”.[9]

The terms of July 2025. On 2 July 2025 the store's terms of use changed. The new version was headed “outcast distribution llc terms of use last updated effective date july 2 2025”, and its first sentence said that Outcast Distribution, LLC “owns and operates amsterdam retail services llc and pure leaf kratom”. It went on: “the terms of use apply to your use of our websites outcast wholesale club smoke shop essentials amsterdam smoke vape and pure leaf kratom”. The contact block at its foot read “outcast inc 1312 w esther st long beach ca 90813 telephone 562 343 5717”.[10]

Fifteen days later the terms were reissued under the shop's own company, “amsterdam retail services llc terms of use last updated effective date july 17 2025”, and the sentence about Outcast was gone. The contact block kept the address and the telephone: “amsterdam retail services llc 1312 w esther st long beach ca 90813 telephone 562 343 5717”.[11] The next day Pure Leaf Kratom's terms were reissued too, as “pure leaf kratom terms of use last updated effective date july 18 2025”, with the same block: “pure leaf kratom 1312 w esther st long beach ca 90813 telephone 562 343 5717”.[12] Set side by side, the two July 2025 texts share 96 percent of their words in the same order; the differences are mostly the names.[11][12]

The Signal Hill suite. In October 2025 the store's footer moved to “footer start 2201 e willow st signal hill ca 90755”,[13] and by June 2026 it read “footer start 2201 e willow st d 136 signal hill ca 90755 call us 562 572 0498”.[14] Pure Leaf Kratom's contact page in April 2026 gave “address 2201 e willow street ste d 136 signal hill ca 90755”.[15] Both domains use the same pair of Cloudflare name servers.[16] That last fact is weak on its own: Cloudflare gives the same pair to many unrelated accounts.

Las Vegas. The store was archived for this dossier on 2026-10-12. Its footer now gives “3909 s maryland pkwy ste 314 370 las vegas nv 89119 562 445 4800”,[17] and its terms, still under Amsterdam Retail Services, give “amsterdam retail services llc 3909 s maryland pkwy ste 314 370 las vegas nv 89119 telephone 562 343 5717”: a Nevada address, and the telephone number that Pure Leaf's terms gave in July 2025.[18] Pure Leaf's contact page, archived the same morning, still reads “address 2201 e willow street ste d 136 signal hill ca 90755 email info pureleafkratom com phone 562 304 5089”.[19]

What the record shows about the Pure Leaf tie, and what it does not. It shows that in July 2025 the shop's own terms said one company, Outcast Distribution, owned and operated both shops, and that for that month the two shops' legal notices went to one Long Beach address and one phone number. It shows the two sites giving the same Signal Hill building from late 2025, and Pure Leaf's suite number appearing in the Amsterdam footer by June 2026. It does not show who owns Outcast Distribution, whether the ownership described in July 2025 still holds now that the store gives a Nevada address, or whether the two shops share stock, staff or a warehouse. Those last claims come from buyers, below.

What they sell

The store began as a smoke and hookah shop, and its menus kept cream chargers into 2025: flavoured cylinders such as the “euro gas cream charger cylinder 3 3l blue razz”, filed under Cream Chargers.[20] The listing does not name the gas.

7-OH arrived in 2024. The August 2024 menu reads “kratom 7 oh kratom drinks kratom energy”,[9] and by January 2025 the first menu items were “7 oh 7 oh shots 7 oh tablets more less pseudo pseudo shots pseudo tablets”, with products such as the “hydroxie kratom extract 7 oh chewable tablets 15mg”.[21]

The Pseudo page of July 2025 called mitragynine pseudoindoxyl “a powerful alkaloid found in kratom”, named “top brands features products from trusted names like 7rx dozo perks and opia”, and said “these products undergo third party lab testing for purity potency and safety”.[22] The DEA describes the compound differently, as “mitragynine pseudoindoxyl which is a chemical rearrangement product of 7 hydroxymitragynine and mgm 15 which is a derivative of 7 hydroxymitragynine”.[23] In June 2026 the in-stock pseudo list included the “kama 7 hydroxy pseudoindoxyl pineapple express 100mg tablet” and “straight heat one fifties pseudo chewable tablets”.[24]

An MGM page appeared in 2026. In May it said the term MGM “refers to a product classification not a plant or natural strain”, and sold the “sevn boosted chewable 7 oh mgm” range beside the “chewz mgm 15 fuji apple 80mg chewable tablet”.[25] The molecule pages linked from this dossier's scorecard say what is known about these compounds.

In October 2026 the menu opens with “7 hydroxymitragynine 7 oh 7 oh shots 7 oh tablets”, and the brand list includes “alklabs good ol boyz opia 7 stax opms hydroxie”.[17] The Pseudo and MGM menus are no longer on the page.

What buyers report

Method: the local Reddit archive (r/7_hydroxymitragynine, r/7oh, r/kratom and the other synced subreddits) was searched on 2026-10-12 for “amsterdam smoke”, “amsterdam ss”, “amsterdamsmoke” and “amsterdam smokeshop”. Six posts name the shop, from October 2025 to September 2026; all six were read with their comments, and so was one Pure Leaf thread in which the shop comes up. That is seven threads, too few to count outcomes as rates.

Buyers noticed the likeness first. One received a marketing email and wrote “i randomly got an email and the deals look similar to plk”;[26] another wrote that “their sales almost mirror plk identically so” they were wary.[27]

The August 2026 threads are about orders that did not ship. A buyer “placed two separate orders early last week and neither have shipped”, and a reply advised “make sure to do a chargeback”.[28] Some of those orders later moved: one buyer wrote “my order just arrived in the mail out of the blue”,[29] and another “i just got a text that my order was refunded no actual communication from amsterdam at all”.[30] In September a buyer reported “good prices and selection but super slow free shipping”.[31]

Allegations: who says what, why, and what we could check

That Amsterdam and Pure Leaf are one business. Several buyers say so. One reply in October 2025 says “amsterdam smoke shop is the same as pure leaf”.[32] In August 2026 a buyer asked “is it amsterdam smoke shop are they connected to pure leaf”, and another answered that “the websites are exactly the same addresses are different”, then wrote after a refund email arrived that it was “pure leaf emailing refunding an amsterdam order”.[30] Another wrote that “when i open chat up on the amsterdam site it also has my past chat messages from pure leaf”,[28] and a third had ordered from Pure Leaf, “which i thought was essentially the same people”, and seen that order ship at once.[29] In September a buyer called the store “pretty sure they are just a rebranded pureleafkratom”.[31]

What we could check: the refund email, the shared chat history and the shared stock are each one buyer's account and are not documents we could read. The shared ownership is a document: the store's own terms of July 2025, above. The terms are the stronger evidence, and they are dated; they say nothing about 2026.

That the owner is a defendant in Texas. On 2026-04-15 the State of Texas sued Pure Leaf Kratom and Outcast Distribution in Collin County. The petition says “upon information and belief pure leaf kratom is a subsidiary and operated by defendant outcast”, and gives Outcast's address as “with a principal place of business at 1892 freedom ave signal hill ca 90755”.[33] Amsterdam is not a party, and the petition's claims are allegations that no court has decided; our Pure Leaf Kratom dossier sets them out. The Amsterdam contact page of 2023 gave its office as 1892 Freeman Ave in the same city and ZIP code. A map search finds an address point at 1892 Freeman Avenue, Signal Hill, and no Freedom Avenue in the city.[34] We do not know whether the petition's spelling is a slip or a different place.

Lab results

The Pseudo page promised third-party testing.[22] We found no certificate of analysis on the site: none of the 3,343 archived addresses is a certificate, lab-results or COA page.[3] No test of a product bought from this store was found. Texas's laboratory tests, described in the Pure Leaf dossier, were of products bought from Pure Leaf Kratom.

Regulatory and legal

Amsterdam Smoke Shop and Amsterdam Retail Services are not parties to the Texas suit above. The company the July 2025 terms named as their owner is a defendant in it.[33]

On 2026-08-26 the DEA's temporary order took effect, finding that “it is necessary to temporarily schedule mitragynine pseudoindoxyl mgm 15 and mgm 16 in schedule i of the csa”; “this temporary order is effective august 26 2026 until august 26 2028”.[23] The store sold tablets named as MGM-15 three months earlier, and pseudoindoxyl tablets until at least June 2026.[25][24] No archived page from after the order shows either; the October 2026 menu does not list them. For 7-OH, the DEA filed a notice saying it “is issuing this notice of intent to publish a temporary order to schedule 7 hydroxymitragynine and mitragynine pseudoindoxyl” above a threshold, made available for public inspection on 2026-10-09.[35] 7-OH was on the store's menu on 2026-10-12.[17]

Age and payment. The age box asked buyers to click to confirm that “i certify that i am over the age of 22” in July 2025, a typo for 21 that later pages correct.[10] In 2023 the payment page said “right now we only accept credit and debit cards”.[36]

• The registration date of amsterdamsmoke.shop is not established here; tenure rests on amsterdamllc.com and the archive.- Who owns Outcast Distribution, LLC, and whether it still owns Amsterdam Retail Services: no document naming its owners has been found. California's and Nevada's business registries are the records to search.
• What is at 2201 E Willow St, Suite D, Signal Hill, and 3909 S Maryland Pkwy, Suite 314, Las Vegas.
• Whether the Texas suit has been decided: no ruling or later filing was found by web search on 2026-10-12.
• Pure Leaf Kratom's terms of 2025 and 2026 were compared with Amsterdam's; the earlier Outcast-headed version of Pure Leaf's own terms, if there was one, was not found in the archive.
