The long read

Who they say they are, and what the record says

Limitless is a brand of 7-OH tablets sold in smoke shops, vape stores and gas stations, and through online retailers that resell shop brands. It has no website we could find and no certificate library. What it has is a trademark. On 2025-04-29 a North Carolina company, Limitless Distribution, LLC, filed three applications for the name and its infinity logo, for “dietary supplements for humans”, claiming “first use feb 01 2025”.[1] The registration gives the owner as “owner name limitless distribution llc” at an address in “charlotte north carolina”, and its e-mail as an address at limitless-distro.com (“info limitless distro com” in the record).[1]

The specimens settle which Limitless this is. The company filed photographs of its own goods: a “specimen consists of a packaging bag of the product with the mark prominently displayed”, and a “specimen consist of a page from a magazine advertising the goods”, use claimed “at least as early as 02 01 2025”.[2] The bag is a red display box of two-tablet packs printed 7-HYDROXYMITRAGYNINE, 30 mg a tablet, with the price on the box. It is the pack buyers photograph.

A red display box on cartons in a warehouse: 2X tablets, a printed price of 9.99 dollars for 60 mg, the word LIMITLESS in striped letters under an infinity symbol, 7-HYDROXYMITRAGYNINE, Cherry, 4 servings, 30 mg per tablet.
Figure 1. The specimen Limitless Distribution, LLC filed with its trademark application in April 2025: a display box of two-tablet packs, 7-hydroxymitragynine at 30 mg a tablet, the price printed on the box. The application calls the goods dietary supplements for humans. [2]

A magazine lying open on a glass display case of pipes: a full-page advertisement headed LIMITLESS 7-HYDROXYMITRAGYNINE showing 10-count boxes in five flavours priced 49 dollars and two-tablet packs priced 9.99, with the line INFO@LIMITLESS-DISTRO.COM at the foot.
Figure 2. The second specimen: a trade-magazine advertisement photographed on a smoke-shop counter. The only contact it gives is an e-mail address at limitless-distro.com, the domain in the trademark record. [2]

Two of the three filings succeeded. The word in its striped lettering, “the mark consists of the word limitless in a stylized font”, was registered on 2025-12-09 (“registration date dec 09 2025”), and so was the logo alone, described as “the infinity symbol in stylized form”.[1][3] The third, the word and the symbol together, was refused. The examiner wrote that “the specimen displays the mark with an infinity symbol over the letters” IMI on the box, while the drawing put it over the middle of the word, and that “the infinity symbol is a different size and in a different location”.[4] The company asked for more time and then did not answer. The application was abandoned on 2026-03-19, and the notice of 2026-04-02 says “the application above is abandoned because we did not receive your response to the previous office action by the response deadline”.[5][6]

Left, a black-and-white drawing of the word LIMITLESS in striped letters under a large spattered infinity symbol. Right, a crop of the red box, where a smaller pink infinity symbol sits over the first letters of the word.
Figure 3. The logo the company asked to register (left) and the logo on its own box (right). The examiner refused the application because the two do not match; the company did not answer and the application was abandoned in March 2026. [4]

The record does not tell us who is behind the company. The trademark filings name a law firm, which withdrew once the marks were registered, and give no officer. The e-mail domain on the record and the advertisement, limitless-distro.com, is no longer registered, and the archive holds only a parking page from January 2025.[7] The trademark office's April 2026 notice went to a second address, “info limitlessdistro com” as the notice prints it, at a domain registered in 2018.[6][8] North Carolina's business register is the next place to look (see Still open). No assignment of the registered mark to anyone else is recorded at the trademark office.[9]

Two sellers, one name. In June 2025 an online seller calling itself LMTLSS opened a Shopify store and promoted it on Reddit. It is a different business: a buyer who had both asked whether there was a difference, and the reply was “dont think there is any connection between the ss brand and the online vendor”.[10] This dossier is about the smoke-shop brand, ss in the subreddits' shorthand, the one with the infinity logo and the trademark. Where the 7-OH subreddits say Limitless without a qualifier, they almost always mean it.

What they sell

The first tablets, 2025. The earliest post in the archive that names the brand is from 2025-03-09, a buyer who found a smoke-shop bottle with a pink label: “they were 10ct bottles 30 dolly hairs for 15mg and 50 for 30mg”, dolly hairs being the subreddits' word for dollars.[11] By May the two-tablet pouch at 30 mg was on counters, and in June a buyer was given some free: “my first time trying this brand just took a limitless 30 mg”.[12][13] The price was printed on the pack, which buyers liked: “they come with the price printed onto the package so smoke shops cant uncharge you”.[14] The fronts name 7-hydroxymitragynine and a dose and nothing else.

Figure 6. Blue Razz pouches with the price printed on the pack, given to a buyer as a free sample in June 2025. [13]

Black Edition, from September 2025. The 50 mg tablet, as two-packs and 10-count bottles, became the brand's best-known product. The buyer who called Limitless “unironically the best brand” in September 2025 named “the 12.99 100mg (50mg x 2 tablets) black edition pack” as its best buy.[14] A reviewer who bought a bottle from Kures in October wrote that “those tabs do indeed seem to be abnormally potent”.[15]

Gold, Remix, Platinum and Blue, October 2025 to June 2026. An 80 mg Gold tablet followed in October 2025 and was not liked; one buyer, after taking it for a week, said he was “pretty confident” of it: “i'm pretty confident to say that the 80mg limitless tabs are not 7oh”.[16] Remix came next, in small bottles whose front reads “tropical botanical extract” and names no compound.[17] Shops and buyers treated it as a pseudoindoxyl tablet, and Kures relisted it in January 2026 as a proprietary blend (Kures has the screenshot). In February 2026 the Platinum Edition brought 100 mg tablets and 1,000 mg bottles; a buyer who tried one wrote that he “just took half of one and it's deff equal to 50mg from them”.[18] By June the Blue Edition was printed at 200 mg a tablet, and a buyer wrote “i paid 90 flat for this 2000mg bottle”.[19]

A small black bottle with a white label: 24.99 dollars, 120 MG, 4X tablets, LIMITLESS REMIX, Tropical Botanical Extract, Mango, 8 servings, 30 mg per tablet.
Figure 9. Limitless Remix, January 2026. The front names no compound: it says tropical botanical extract. TestMyKratom bought the Cherry version as a pseudoindoxyl tablet and found almost none, with MGM-15 and chloroform. [17]

Bottles changed during the run. A buyer in January 2026 described a new 50 mg bottle: “they've added cotton and a silica pack in the bottle, and the new pills do not have they're logo on them”.[20] Buyers came to call the older stock “fat bottles” and the newer “skinny”, and many dated the change to the rumoured sale (see Allegations).

Kures, the online retailer with its own dossier, has been the main web outlet: its home page counted “limitless 25” products in October 2026.[21] Buyers also report Limitless in shops from the Carolinas to Ohio, Texas and Nevada.[22]

What is in the tablets beyond the label is the subject of the next two sections. By the tests we found: 7-OH in the 7-OH tablets, below the label; MGM-15, a semi-synthetic opioid made from a kratom alkaloid, in the Remix and in one laboratory's test of the Platinum; and in the Remix almost none of the mitragynine pseudoindoxyl it was sold as. The molecule pages: 7-OH, MGM-15.

What buyers report

We searched the local Arctic Shift archive of the 7-OH, kratom and opioid subreddits for Limitless on 2026-10-12. 1,310 posts name it between 2025-03-09 and 2026-10-06: 636 in r/7_hydroxymitragynine, 447 in r/7oh, 197 in r/7ohm, 19 in r/QuittingKratom and 11 in five smaller subreddits. 238 are from 2025 and 1,072 from 2026. 662 have the brand in the title. Posts about the online seller LMTLSS that do not use the word Limitless are not counted, nor, outside the 7-OH subreddits, posts that use the word for the film. We read about 50 threads with their comments, chosen for lab results, product changes, contamination and the takeover rumour.[22]

The table counts posts whose title or text contains the words in the first column. It is a search, not a reading, and a post can match several rows; it says what buyers talk about, not how often a thing happened.

Strength, then doubt. For most of 2025 the brand's reputation was potency. From October 2025 the same quality began to worry people. A buyer warned that the 50 mg Original tablets smelled of solvent, “paint thinner is the closest thing that i can compare it too”, and guessed at the cause: “it's a good chance that it is em gee em 15 that is in these”, MGM-15 spelt out to get past the subreddit's filters.[23] The October reviewer noticed the same: “there was a slight chemical solvent odor when i first opened the bottle”.[15] From November buyers reported shops running out, one writing from South Carolina that “all shipments have stopped by 90% to the usual stores by me in sc”, and from January 2026 that new bottles were weaker.[24][20] In February and March 2026 TestMyKratom's results gave the MGM-15 guess a basis for two products (see Lab results).

Other pills in the bottle. Between February and September 2026 we found seven reports of Limitless bottles that held something else. In February a shop told a buyer to check his bottle before leaving, because “they said the workers for this company were stealing the tabs and replacing them with tums”, and showed him a bottle of them.[25] In May a buyer opened a Platinum bottle whose tablets “had advil printed on them”; the clerk brought out from behind the counter “more bottles that had the same problem”.[26] In June the same buyer found Advil in another Platinum bottle, and wrote that “the only difference is that i got them from a different ss”.[27] In July a shop owner showed a buyer white tablets from a sealed bottle, “the owner is the one who showed it to me”.[28] Later that month a buyer found antacid tablets; by then a reader wrote, “this is like 10th time ive heard this with limitless”.[29] In August a buyer found red tablets and wrote that “the seal was missing”.[30] In September another found that “it is docusate sodium (laxative) tablets”, although “the bottle i opened had been sealed, with the cotton still in it”, and the shop's next bottle held the same.[31]

An open hand holding pale green broken tablets, some round and scored.
Figure 12. What a buyer says came out of a Limitless 500 mg bottle in July 2026: antacid tablets. The shop disputed it. It is one of seven such reports between February and September 2026. [29]

Figure 13. Docusate sodium laxative tablets, the buyer says, from a sealed Limitless Platinum bottle with the cotton still in it, September 2026. The shop's next bottle held the same. [31]

Who swapped them is not something the posts establish. Readers blamed shop staff, the distributor's warehouse and the packing line. Three of the seven describe bottles that were sealed when opened, and two a seal that was broken or missing. In two, the shop had more bottles with the same problem. One more report is of a different kind: in July a buyer bit into a tablet and wrote that “come to find out there is literally wire inside of the tablet”.[32]

Bad reactions. In April 2026 a first-time buyer took a whole 50 mg Black tablet and wrote: “i started pouring sweat, throwing up, couldn't walk straight”, and then used naloxone. Most replies disputed that it was needed.[33] In September a buyer who uses 7-OH for chronic pain wrote that after “i placed an order with kures for 10 bottles of 100mg limitless tablets” and switched to them, they went into withdrawal that four tablets every six hours did not fully hold.[34] Neither post includes a test of the tablets.

Lab results

From the brand: none. We found no certificate of analysis published by Limitless or Limitless Distribution: no website, no QR code on the packs in the photographs we looked at, no certificate posted by an account speaking for the brand. Buyers looked too. “does anybody know or have labs for ss brand limitless”, one asked in January 2026.[35] Every result below is a third party's.

TestMyKratom, February 2026. TestMyKratom buys products, has them tested and posts the certificates. It earns from affiliate links and, from February 2026, from selling its own tablets: “we are selling our own tabs now”, it announced in the post with these results.[36] It sent two Limitless tablets from lot 2026-02 to Anresco Laboratories in San Francisco.

The 50 mg Original tablet: “limitless 50mg original tablets contained 40.19mg of 7-hydroxy, which was about 20% weaker than its 50mg claim”.[37] The certificate also shows 2.35 mg of mitragynine pseudoindoxyl a tablet and no MGM-15.[38]

The Remix, bought as the brand's 30 mg Cherry pseudoindoxyl tablet (“limitless 30mg cherry psuedo tablet” on the certificate): “limitless 30mg cherry pseudo tablets contained almost no pseudo”, and “it also contains 6.92mg of unadvertised mgm-15”.[39][37] The certificate gives 0.80 mg of pseudoindoxyl, no 7-OH, and a failed solvent screen: chloroform at 226 parts per million against a limit of 60, “chloroform failure confirmed with dilution”.[39] That is 3 per cent of the label, a semi-synthetic opioid the label does not name, and a residual solvent at nearly four times its limit.

An Anresco Laboratories certificate for Limitless 30mg Cherry psuedo tablet, lot 2026-02: 7-OH not detected, MGM-15 6.92 mg per serving, mitragynine pseudoindoxyl 0.80 mg, residual solvent screen failed with chloroform at 226 ppm against a limit of 60.
Figure 14. The Remix certificate, February 2026. Sold as a 30 mg pseudoindoxyl tablet: 0.80 mg of pseudoindoxyl, 6.92 mg of MGM-15, and chloroform at almost four times the limit. [39]

TestMyKratom, March and June 2026: two laboratories, one batch. TestMyKratom then bought the three Platinum 100 mg flavours, lot 2026-03, and had them tested twice. Its brand page reports the Anresco results first, dated 2026-03-20: Blue Razz “contained 86.31mg of 7-hydroxy, which was about 14% weaker than its 100mg claim”, and “it contains 4.15mg of unadvertised mgm-15”; Mango “contained 88.92mg of 7-hydroxy”, and “it contains 5.71mg of unadvertised mgm-15”; Strawberry “contained 83.66mg of 7-hydroxy”, and “it contains 4.85mg of unadvertised mgm-15”.[37] Each was graded F for the MGM-15 alone, with the note that “we would be willing to give this product a passing grade if it were transparent with its contents”.[37]

The second set, from Cora Science in Austin and dated on the brand page 2026-06-05, found less 7-OH and no MGM-15. Blue Razz: “limitless 100mg blue razz tablets contained 69.90mg of 7-hydroxy, which was about 30% weaker than its 100mg claim”; Mango “contained 71.70mg”; Strawberry “contained 70.20mg”.[37] Cora's certificate for the Blue Razz is issued 2026-03-20 and reads “7-hydroxymitragynine report results 69.9 mg/unit”, and on its second page “dihydro-7-hydroxymitragynine report results <loq mg/unit”, below the limit of quantitation.[40] Dihydro-7-hydroxymitragynine is MGM-15.

TestMyKratom's Limitless page: five products, and for the 100 mg Blue Razz tablet two results on batch 2026-03, a C at 69.9 mg on June 5 2026 and an F at 86.31 mg on March 20 2026 with a note on 4.15 mg of unadvertised MGM-15.
Figure 15. TestMyKratom's page for the brand, archived in August 2026. Two laboratories tested the same Platinum batch: one found MGM-15, the other did not (see Lab results). [37]

A Cora Science certificate for Limitless 100mg Blue Razz 7-OH tablet, lot 2026-03, issued 20 March 2026: 7-hydroxymitragynine 69.9 mg per unit, mitragynine 1.68, mitragynine pseudoindoxyl 0.863, total mitragyna alkaloids 73.7.
Figure 16. The second laboratory's certificate for the Platinum Blue Razz batch: 69.9 mg of 7-OH against 100 on the label. Its MGM-15 line, on the next page, is below the limit of quantitation. [40]

So two accredited laboratories tested tablets from the same lot and disagreed by 13 to 17 mg of 7-OH and on whether MGM-15 was present. The documents do not tell us whether TestMyKratom sent both laboratories tablets from the same bottles. What both agree on is that the 100 mg tablet held 70 to 89 per cent of its label. TestMyKratom's own grade for the Platinum is now the later one, a C.

What the tests do not cover: the Black Edition 50 mg two-packs that buyers rated highest, the Gold 80 mg, the Blue Edition, and anything made after March 2026. No test we found looked for the substances in the bottles that held other pills.

Regulatory and legal

We found no FDA warning letter naming Limitless or Limitless Distribution in the agency's index.[41] The trademark office registered the name for “dietary supplements for humans”, which is the company's description of its goods, not a finding by any agency that 7-OH is one.[1]

The federal position changed while the brand was on sale. The DEA placed MGM-15 and mitragynine pseudoindoxyl in Schedule I by a temporary order: “this temporary order is effective august 26 2026 until august 26 2028”.[42] TestMyKratom's certificates found MGM-15 in the Remix in February 2026 and in the Platinum in March, months before the order, when it was not federally scheduled. Florida listed “Dihydro-7-hydroxymitragynine (MGM-15)” in its emergency rules of 2026, before the DEA did.[43] On 2026-10-09 the DEA filed two notices for publication on 2026-10-14: one to re-issue the MGM-15 order unchanged, the other to place 7-OH and pseudoindoxyl in Schedule I above a threshold.[44][45] Neither is an order yet.

Our deep dive on what replaced 7-OH covers MGM-15 and the blends sold around the bans, and the long read on 7-OH scams the wider market.

Allegations: who says what, why, and what we could check

That Dozo bought the Limitless brand. It is the most repeated claim about Limitless. We count 13 posts that repeat it between 2025-11-19 and 2026-09-12, and many more comments. It started with one account. On 2025-11-19 it wrote that “limitless has sold to dozo perks”, attributing the news to a regional distributor's manager in South Carolina: “out the mouth of the distributor themselves”.[46] It added that Dozo “only took over the company of limitless as a brand”.[46] Five days later a second account reported what a shop chain's staff told it: “one of the managers also told me that dozo bought out limitless completely”.[47] In that thread the first account wrote “i worked with them and yes they sold it to dozo”, and a reader wrote of the post that “this post sure as heck reads like someone shilling for dozo brand”.[47] The first account later described itself as an investor, “i invested in 9 brands in 3 years the latest was limitless”, and on 2025-12-28 posted another brand's 80 mg tablets under the title “taking over the old limitless regions”.[48][49] The account that started the rumour describes itself as having a stake in the trade it reports on.

Readers noticed the gap. “that is where this belief started some guy on reddit said it”, one wrote in February 2026, and another, “there isnt any information i can find about any of it”.[50] Of the related claim that the founders had moved on to the 7Pure brand, a reader wrote: “all hearsay and rumors no proof for any of it”.[51] The 7Pure version is put most plainly as “the folks that started limitless are now involved with 7pure”.[52]

What we could check: the trademark office shows Limitless Distribution, LLC as the owner of the registered marks in October 2026, with no assignment recorded.[1][9] The registration issued on 2025-12-09, three weeks after the rumour began, to the same company that filed in April. None of the Dozo pages archived for its dossier mentions Limitless. A sale of a brand does not have to be recorded at the trademark office, so this does not prove there was no sale. It does mean the claim rests on what shop staff and one interested account said, and no document we found supports it. It is unconfirmed.

That Limitless is another company's tablet. In February 2026 a buyer photographed a Green Monkey pouch whose tablets, he said, carried the Limitless press: “my local smoke shop guy today pointed these and said look limitless is back”, and he guessed that “green monkey made limitless the brand, sold the brand to dozo”.[53] Another buyer wrote of an 80 mg Green Monkey tablet that it was “strange how the 80 mg has a limitless emblem on it”.[54] Two brands sharing a tablet press, if they do, would say who presses the tablets. It would not say who owns either name, and nothing we found names the factory.

An orange foil pouch on a grey sheet: Green Monkey, 7-Hydroxy, 7OH tablets, 160 mg, two round tan tablets shown on the pouch.
Figure 17. A Green Monkey pouch whose tablets a buyer said carry the Limitless press, February 2026. Two brands sharing a tablet press, if they do, says who presses the tablets, not who owns either brand. [53]

That Limitless gave a million dollars to fight Florida's ban. In August 2026 a buyer wrote that “zourz and limitless both donated 1 million in florida before the state ban there to try and save it”.[55] He gave no source. What we could check: Florida's register of contributions to state candidates and political committees shows nothing from Limitless Distribution or any Limitless company in 2024 to 2026, and nothing from a 7-OH business among large donors in Charlotte.[56] Money given to a trade association or a nonprofit would not appear there, so the search does not settle the claim; it finds no trace of it.

If you bought a Limitless product and had it tested, or found other tablets in a sealed bottle, rate it below or comment on the thread at the foot of this page.

Still open

Who runs Limitless Distribution, LLC, and since when. North Carolina's business register, under that name, is the next search; the trademark filings name no officer.

Whether the brand was sold. The trademark office records no assignment. A purchase agreement, a new owner's filing or a statement by either company would settle it.

Which laboratory was right about the March 2026 Platinum batch, and what is in the Black Edition 50 mg tablets, which no test we found covers.

Whether any court case names the company. We searched the trademark and FDA records, not court dockets.

Whether Limitless still sells 7-OH once the DEA's 7-OH order is published and in force.
