MGM-15: interactions
MGM-15 is reported to act as a partial agonist at the mu-opioid receptor [1], and is described as a semi-synthetic opioid derived from kratom alkaloids [2][1]. Opioids as a class are commonly co-ingested with alcohol or other drugs that can exacerbate respiratory depression [3].
That's the limit of what's actually known. MGM-15 has only been confirmed in two drug materials and one toxicology case since it was first identified in September 2025 [1]. There is no published data on how it interacts with serotonergic drugs (SSRIs, SNRIs, MDMA, tramadol), no data on cardiac effects when combined with stimulants or other cardioactive substances, and no data on whether it's metabolized through a pathway that other drugs could block or saturate. None of that has been ruled out — it simply hasn't been looked at. Don't take the absence of a warning as a sign of absence of risk.
Practically, this means: don't combine MGM-15 with anything, full stop, until better data exists. Not with alcohol, not with other opioids, not with sedatives, not with stimulants, not with anything serotonergic. If you're going to use it anyway, use a lower amount than feels reasonable, don't use it alone, and don't use it as part of a polydrug session. The unpredictability here isn't caution for its own sake — it's a direct consequence of how little is actually known about this specific molecule.
