LSD: experiences

This section is for first-hand accounts of LSD: what was taken, how much of it — if that was ever actually known — and what the hours did. Acid has the deepest experience literature of any psychedelic, and almost none of it agrees on what "one tab" means. That disagreement is the first thing worth understanding.

How to read an experience report

An anecdote is one person, once, and with LSD the dose is usually a guess. Blotter carries whatever the sheet carried, the microgram number in a report is almost never a measured one, and paper sold as acid has at times carried other chemicals entirely — so two reports about "100 µg" can describe different exposures of different substances. Reports that mention testing tell you more than reports that don't. Duration is the other divider: LSD runs long, and accounts written from hour two and accounts written the day after describe different drugs. The reports worth the most are the ones that cover the whole arc, including the parts that dragged.

How to write one worth reading

Say what the material was and how you know — tested or untested, tab or liquid or microdot — and how much, with an honest "unknown" beating a confident guess. The setting, who was there, and what you had planned for the twelve hours matter more with LSD than with almost anything else, so put them in. Describe the day after. If you were on any daily medication, name it: those reports are scarce and they are the ones that help people on the same prescriptions decide. Describe your experience, don't prescribe anyone else's.
