The two grades are never combined. Ours is what the record shows; theirs is what people who dealt with this entity say.

  • Is there an identifiable legal operator: a registered name, a jurisdiction, an address that resolves?

a city and ZIP in the footer; the policies name A Touch of Gild LLC, a Texas LLC registered 2021-10-04 in the same ZIP; 'gilded extracts llc', named in the disclaimer, is not in the Texas list; no person named anywhere

    Evidence: [10][11][9][2][7]

  • How long has it operated, by evidence: first archive capture, domain registration, oldest attributable post?

domain August 2021, Reddit August 2021, archive January 2022 to October 2025

    Evidence: [2][5][3]

  • Does it publish third-party certificates of analysis for what it sells?

certificates were the manufacturers' by the store's own account; some posted, including KCA Laboratories for HAU Processing; none for Euphorinol that could be read

    Evidence: [39][40][34][7]

  • Where there are results, do they agree with the label, the marketing and the reported effects?

the one certificate read here matches its product name; no independent test of a Gilded product was found

    Evidence: [40]

  • Are contents and amounts stated on the product?

most listings name the cannabinoid; the Euphorinol disposables list an ingredient whose identity the seller and its maker do not disclose

    Evidence: [15][17]

  • No disease claims, no 'safe', no borrowed botanical names for synthetic compounds?

'we send every product we sell to a third party lab' in 2025 against 'we currently rely on the manufacturers to supply coas' in 2024; a 'newly discovered' cannabinoid sold on its maker's word

    Evidence: [7][39][17]

  • Pattern of complaints about orders not arriving, long delays, no tracking?

seven posts from July to September 2025 report paid orders not shipped and no reply, more in comments, and the store closed with orders open; before 2025, delays were reported but most orders arrived

    Evidence: [18][30][33][27][28][29][31][32][26]

  • Pattern of complaints about wrong, inert, contaminated or mislabelled product?

a handful of posts about specks, contamination or an old batch from 2023 to 2025, against many more praising the products; none backed by a test

    Evidence: [21][24][23][22]

  • Chargebacks refused, refunds unanswered, processors dropped?

the terms ask buyers to give up chargebacks; a 2024 buyer says the shop called a chargeback fraud; in 2025 buyers describe chargebacks as their only way to get money back

    Evidence: [10][25][18][33]

  • Warning letters, seizures, lawsuits, attorney-general actions, platform bans?

no federal case and no FDA or state action under either name, searched 2026-10-11

    Evidence: [42][43]

  • Is there any attempt to keep minors out?

a 21+ button in 2022, a typed date of birth by 2024; buyers reported photo ID being asked for in June 2024

    Evidence: [4][44][10]

  • Does it say what the legal status of what it sells is, honestly, where it ships?

a list of states delta-8 would not ship to and a 0.3% delta-9 notice; nothing on the legal status of THCP, THCH, HHC or Euphorinol

    Evidence: [7][19]

The long read

Who they said they were, and what the record says

For four years, if you mixed your own vape cartridges from hemp-derived cannabinoids, there was a good chance the jars came from Gilded Extracts. The shop sold distillates and isolates by the gram and by the hundred grams: delta-8, HHC, THCP, and a long tail of rarer molecules with names like THCH, THCB and HHCO. Its buyers were hobbyists who weighed, terped and blended at the kitchen table. In 2023 the owner of this site, reviewing a pre-filled vape kit, wrote that "If you already make your own carts or order from Gilded or something", the kit was worth less.[1] That was the shop's place in the scene.

The domain gildedextracts.com was registered on 2021-08-06 through GoDaddy.[2] The first Reddit post naming the shop came ten days later, a photo of its CBD distillate that the poster called the best he had used.[3] The archive first captured a working storefront on 2022-01-15, a Shopify shop behind a 21+ button, promising that "anything you buy from gilded is quality and approved of by real humans who care".[4][5] By April 2022 it had moved to BigCommerce, and THCP was the headline.[6]

The Gilded Extracts home page in April 2022: a gold drop logo, a menu starting with D9-THCP, a banner headed The Ultimate Phytocannabinoid about THCP, and below it large text saying the shop is receiving a lot of support and has a 3 to 5 day turnaround.
Figure 1. April 2022, eight months after the domain was registered. THCP is the headline product, and the shop is already apologising for a three-to-five-day turnaround. [6]

The shop gave a city and nothing more. Every footer from 2022 to 2025 reads "contact us san antonio tx 78259".[7] In 2022 the contact address was a Gmail account, "gildedlabs gmail com".[8] The disclaimer at the bottom of every page names "gilded extracts llc", but Texas's list of active franchise taxpayers holds no company of that name among 111 names containing "Gilded".[9] The company that actually stood behind the store appears only in its terms: "by placing an order with a touch of gild llc".[10] A Touch of Gild LLC is in the Texas list, registered with the Secretary of State on 2021-10-04 at an address in the same San Antonio ZIP code, and was still listed as active on 2026-10-11.[11] No page of the store named a person.

On Reddit the shop posted as u/Gildedlabs. Its 29 posts and comments run from 2021-09-05 to 2023-04-09, mostly thanks and order updates.[12] In April 2022 the account apologised to a buyer for a late order, saying the shop was swamped. After that the shop stopped speaking for itself on Reddit, and its customers did the talking.

What it sold

Single cannabinoids, by weight. In April 2022 the banner called THCP "the ultimate phytocannabinoid" and said "thcp was estimated to have 33 times the binding affinity" of THC, offered in three strengths: "we have 3 thcp strengths to choose from 2 6 or 10 delta 9 thcp".[6] The 2025 menu ran through delta-8, HHC, HHCP, HHCO, THCP, THCPO, THCV, THCH, THCB, H4CBD, CBD, CBG, CBC, CBT and CBN.[7] The last product the home page advertised was "d9thcv is finally here".[7] The rare ones were the draw. Most were not grown in a plant at all: they are made from CBD by chemistry, and the shop's 2023 About page said so, describing "employing advanced extraction methods to synthesize rare cannabinoids".[13]

House blends and disposables. "Gilded Blends" with names like Freight Train, Black Hole and Hypervelocity, sold as syringes, cartridges and disposables, mostly mixes of HHC, THCP and minor cannabinoids.[14]

Euphorinol. In May 2025 the shop listed "The Super Sativa Blend with Euphorinol" as 1, 2 and 4 ml disposables. The ingredient line reads "ingredients 92 cbd cbg crd 2 euphorinol 6 terpenes".[15] The page linked a white paper on euphorinol.com, a domain registered on 2025-02-13.[16] It calls the compound, EPN, "a semi synthetic cannabinoid engineered for unmatched potency", claims "no known tolerance buildup", and offers "a patent protected structure and formulation and an msds available under an nda".[17] It gives no chemical name, formula or patent number. A product that names a molecule its buyers cannot look up is a new thing for a shop that built its name on knowing which noid was which. Buyers noticed. One wrote in July 2025 that the shop had “been selling blends with "euphorinol" which is a "proprietary structure"”.[18]

Figure 2. May 2025: disposables built around Euphorinol, a cannabinoid whose structure the seller did not publish. Prices hidden by us. [15]

The euphorinol.com About page headed Feel Elevated Energy with Euphorinol, describing EPN as a newly discovered hemp-derived Super Sativa, a semi-synthetic cannabinoid.
Figure 3. The "white paper" the product page linked: EPN is "a semi synthetic cannabinoid". No name, formula or structure. [17]

Everything else. Terpenes, empty hardware, gummies, tinctures, CBD for pets, merchandise, and in 2023 maeng da kratom powder and capsules, listed in the menu as "shop all products blends kratom edibles".[13]

The shop kept a page for a question that followed its products around: "is this spice k2 no". The answer explained that its cannabinoids were "structurally unrelated to compounds like hhc thc cbg cbn" and the indole synthetics sold as Spice.[19] For THC, HHC and THCP that is true. For a compound whose structure is withheld under an NDA, nobody outside its maker can say.

A Gilded Extracts page headed Is This Spice/K2? answering No, with a chart of indole synthetic cannabinoids such as JWH-018 beside the structure of THC.
Figure 4. From 2022 the store kept a page answering a question its customers asked: "is this spice k2". Its answer was a chemistry lesson. [19]

Where it came from

Gilded was a reseller with a blending bench, and it said so. The August 2023 About page names its sources: "such as gvb biopharma and hau processing".[13] A brand page from April 2022 lists products from MC Nutraceuticals, a Texas bulk supplier, under that supplier's initials: "hhc hexahydrocannabinol distillate mcn", "clear delta 8 distillate mcn", "delta 10 6a10a distillate".[8] In January 2022 it announced a "strategic partnership with focus hemp co and the cow creek tribe of eagle point oregon" for CBD.[20] The 2025 footer still listed GVB Biopharma, HAU Processing and MC Nutraceuticals among its brands.[7]

Two of those names went on to be the subject of a federal lawsuit, which is set out below under Allegations.

What buyers report

Most talk about Gilded happened in r/altcannabinoids. We pulled every post in the subreddit from the Arctic Shift archive on 2026-10-11: 33,289 posts from 2020-08-21 to 2026-10-11. 438 name Gilded in the title or body: 9 in 2021, 61 in 2022, 175 in 2023, 131 in 2024, 59 in 2025 and 3 in 2026.[14] We sorted them by keyword and read every post flagged for a problem, about 60, by hand. Smaller numbers turn up in r/CultoftheFranklin (27 posts), r/THCaFlower (5) and r/cleancarts (5). The subreddit removes posts about orders and customer service under its rules, so for many complaints only the title survives. Counts are of posts.

A bar chart of posts naming Gilded in r/altcannabinoids by quarter from 2021 to 2026: a rise to 47 and 48 a quarter in 2023 and early 2024, a fall to around 20 in late 2024, and a slide to 5, 2, 1 and 0 after the June 2025 veto of Texas SB 3.
Figure 7. How often r/altcannabinoids talked about Gilded, every quarter of its life. Counted by us from the full archive of the subreddit. [14]

Hauls and praise, 2021 to 2024. The largest group after questions about blends: unboxing photos, thanks for the free samples in the box, blend recipes. In 2022 the account itself was thanking reviewers. A 2025 thread on a short order shows the pattern the shop's defenders described: the buyer reported one 5 g jar instead of 10 g, made "in May of 2023", then updated the post: "They were very sincere and apologetic about the situation", and the missing jar was sent.[21]

Delays, every year. Slow shipping posts appear from 2022, when the home page itself admitted a "3 5 day turnaround time for orders".[6] About eleven in 2023 and twelve in 2024, by our keyword sort.

Quality, 2023 to 2025: a handful. A speck in a jar, which the shop's account answered in April 2023: "There should not be any specs in your jar from us".[22] A March 2025 warning about CBD with "white contaminants" and a cherry taste.[23] A buyer the same week who said his CBD distillate held silicone and mold; another commenter replied that he had "silicone from his lid in his CBD".[24] None was backed by a test.

Payment. A buyer in October 2024 whose disposable arrived switched on and stuck wrote that the shop "threatened that if I contacted my bank, I would be doing fraud".[25] That matches the terms. By 2025 they read: "you agree not to seek a refund or replacement for any package that is not delivered", "you agree not to initiate a chargeback", and disputes go through order protection or customer service, "not through your bank".[10]

The Gilded Extracts policies page in October 2025, a section headed Refunds and More beginning By placing an order with A Touch of Gild LLC, you agree not to seek a refund or replacement for any package that is not delivered, and a bold line saying buyers agree to handle disputes through Order Protection or customer service, not through their bank.
Figure 8. The policies page as it stood at the last capture, October 2025. It names the company behind the store, A Touch of Gild LLC, and asks buyers to give up chargebacks. [10]

The end, June to November 2025. In June 2025 a buyer whose lost UPS parcel had been claimed by the shop in February wrote "It is now June 11th and they won’t even respond to my emails"; a reply under it: "Gilded was great like a year ago".[26] Then the posts change. Seven from July to September report orders paid for and not shipped: "Gilded wont ship my stuff?" (8 July), "Gilded Extracts not shipping my order" and "still awaiting fulfillment? zero updates?" (10 July), "Won't answer emails, won't answer calls" (11 July), "I placed an order July 4th" with no word since (21 July), "a shipment from gilded taking forever" (16 August), and "they won't send my order or contact me" (30 September).[27][28][29][18][30][31][32] In the comments: "they've been out of stock on all their distillates for over a month"; "They're even ignoring the Charge back that I filed with my bank"; "They took 3 months to ship my products and only shipped half of them"; "Their phone number is answered by a machine that then hangs up".[30][18][33]

Why it stopped

Nobody from the shop has said. What the record shows is the order of events.

In late May 2025 the shop's updates page filled with certificate posts for its rarest products, under a banner reading "shop these deals while supplies last".[34] The Legislature's regular session had just passed Senate Bill 3, which would have made it a crime to sell consumable hemp products that "contain any amount of a cannabinoid other than cbd or cbg". On 22 June 2025 the governor vetoed it, writing that "senate bill 3 is well intentioned but it would never go into effect because of valid constitutional challenges", and called a special session to regulate hemp instead.[35] A buyer noticed "a few weeks before the pending ban" that the shop was "out of common noids like CBD, CBG, CRD, CBC, and CBT", and another asked whether this was an "Exit scam timed with that Texas ban bill reaching the governor's desk?"[18] That is a buyer's guess. The veto came before the first unshipped-order post, and the stock was never rebuilt.

Figure 10. 22 June 2025: the Texas governor vetoes SB 3, which would have banned every consumable hemp product with a cannabinoid other than CBD or CBG. Gilded's stock had already run down. [35]

The archive's last capture of the store is dated 2025-10-10. The site still took orders and still showed its newest cannabinoid.[7] On 2025-11-09 a post in r/altcannabinoids was titled "RIP Gilded Extracts", and three days later another, "Gilded Extracts Folded Already!"[36][37] In January 2026 buyers were asking "Any shops replacing gilded?"[38] On 2026-10-11 the domain was still registered, through 2029, but pointed nowhere.[2] We date the closure to 9 November 2025, the first post to say so.

Lab results

The FAQ, in August 2024, said: "we currently rely on the manufacturers to supply coas for the products that we sell", adding that "members of our staff use each product that we sell".[39] By 2025 the home page said "we send every product we sell to a third party lab to verify the purity and safety".[7] Both may have been true at the time each was written. Neither is a published index of the shop's own tests.

Figure 12. August 2024, the FAQ: certificates come from the manufacturers. [39]

The certificates the shop did post came from its suppliers. One, for its CBGO, is a KCA Laboratories certificate of 2023-12-20 for client Hau Processing of Denver, finding CBG diacetate at 94.2% and no delta-9 THC.[40] CBG diacetate is CBG with two acetate groups added, the same chemistry as THC-O. The certificate matches the product's name. It does not say anything about the batch a buyer received from Gilded, which is the gap every resold certificate has. The Euphorinol certificate was a link to a file-sharing drive that we could not read. No independent test of a Gilded product was found, and this site's lab-results section holds none.

The top of a KCA Laboratories certificate for CBGO distillate, client Hau Processing of Denver, Colorado, completed 20 December 2023: total delta-9 THC not detected, CBG diacetate 94.2 percent.

Allegations: who says what, why, and what we could check

  • That the cannabinoids Gilded resold were imported synthetics. In September 2025 a commenter told a buyer to "Read up on the MC Nutraceuticals lawsuit".[33] The lawsuit is real: MC Botanicals LLC v. Asterra Labs, LLC, filed in July 2025 in the Eastern District of North Carolina, a contract dispute in which the defendant, Asterra Labs, answered with counterclaims. Asterra alleges, "Upon information and belief", that MC Nutraceuticals' group bought foreign-made cannabinoids, including through "purchases from an importer, Hau Processing", and split or mislabelled shipments to avoid tariffs.[41] Asterra is a former business partner suing for money it says it is owed, which is its motive. The allegations are untested; the case was still pending on 2026-10-11, with a motion to dismiss the counterclaims undecided. Gilded is not a party and is not named in the filing. What we could check: Gilded did sell both companies' products under their names.[8][13] The full story is in the MC Nutraceuticals dossier. No deduction about any Gilded batch rests on it.
  • That Euphorinol is "mystery RC shit". A commenter, July 2025.[18] The maker's own page says the compound is semi-synthetic and that its structure is patent-protected and under NDA.[17] Neither claim can be checked without the structure. We did not find a patent, a test, or a report of harm.
  • That Gilded deleted neutral reviews. One commenter, June 2025, about reviews on the shop's own site. No way to check now that the site is gone.

If you bought from Gilded, hold a jar or a certificate, or know who ran it, rate it below or leave a note.

Regulatory and legal

A CourtListener search on 2026-10-11 for "Gilded Extracts" and "A Touch of Gild" returned no federal case.[42] A web search for the name with FDA, warning letter, lawsuit and attorney general returned nothing naming the company.[43] The shop told buyers it would not ship delta-8 to "alaska colorado delaware idaho iowa minnesota montana nevada north dakota oregon rhode island south carolina utah and vermont" and printed the 0.3% delta-9 notice on every page.[7] It said nothing about the legal status of THCP, THCH, HHC or Euphorinol. Texas's SB 3 never took effect.[35]

Age: a click-through in January 2022, a typed date of birth by May 2024, and "you must be 21 years of age or older to purchase this product" on product pages.[4][44][15] In June 2024 buyers posted that the shop had begun asking for photo ID; those posts were removed and only their titles survive.[14]
