The long read

Who they say they are, and what the record says

Rainy Forest Farms sells from rainyforestfarms.net. Its home page describes the stock as "the highest quality federally legal herbs, extracts, and botanical products from across the PNW".[1] The contact page gives "Rainy Forest Farms Eugene, OR 97405" and "Phone: 541-357-7341", with no street address.[2] The terms of use are a template "governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware".[3] No page names a company or a person.

Oregon's dataset of active business registrations has no entry containing "Rainy Forest". The same query run for "Rainy" returns fifty other businesses, so the search itself works.[4] The .net domain was registered on 30 October 2020 and the registrant is redacted.[5] The archive's first capture of it is from April 2021.[6] Buyers have reported the phone number dead more than once. In 2021: "The number in the order confirmation (Phone: 541-357-7341) is also bogus".[7] In 2023: "their phone number is disconnected and my email bounced back".[8]

The operation is older than the domain. The vendor's own Reddit account posted on 18 September 2015, advertising "Hemp CBD liquid and wax, and more at Rainy Forest Farms".[9] Between 2018 and 2020 it sold through a WordPress site, an eBay store and an Etsy shop called Natural Herbs Boutique, and it ran its own subreddit. In September 2026 Reddit listed that subreddit as one that "is available for adoption", meaning it had no active moderator.[10]

What they sell

The catalogue has roughly seventy-five products in about twenty categories. Most of them fall into five groups.

Hemp cannabinoids. These are delta-8 THC carts, gummies, flower and moonrocks, plus HHC, THCa and HHC-P. The site says plainly how the delta-8 is made: "Delta 8 is made by isomerizing CBD extracted from hemp using acid reagents".[11] Several edibles carry 150 to 1,000 mg of delta-8 and HHC in candy-bar form under names that echo branded sweets. The Giggle Bar is "sure to make you snicker with delight",[12] and another product is "Strawberry gummies coated in Nerds candy".[13] The HHCP blotter page sells 2 mg HHCP tabs and on the same page counts the strips as "20mg total THCP", which is a different compound (THCP). It also claims "It is thought to be 30x more potent than delta 9 THC".[14] The Syp syrup combines "21mg oleamide, 21mg delta 8 THC, and 21mg of HHC" per serving; see oleamide.[15]

Amanita. There are dried caps, chocolate bars "infused with 10g Amanita Muscaria extract",[16] tablets and vape pods; see Amanita muscaria. The Psybloom bar is "infused with 5g Amanita Muscaria, 200mg glaucine, and 150mg n,n-DMPEA".[17]

Party pills. These are tablets and powders built on Eria jarensis, an orchid extract sold as a source of N,N-dimethylphenethylamine, plus glaucine, an alkaloid from the yellow horned poppy. Club Mixxx 3.0 is "based on the explosive mood enhancement of Eria Jarensis mixed with Guarana for energy, and a touch of of glaucine".[18] X-otiX is made "with tea extract, Eria Jarensis, huperzine, and glaucine".[19] SuprStars lists "caffeine, saffron, Eria Jarensis, and huperzine A".[20] None of these pages gives an amount for any ingredient. The Pure n,n-DMPEA page says only "Suggested serving size: 100-150 mg".[21]

Kratom, 7-OH and the opioid-receptor alkaloids. There are kratom capsules ("5g of kratom in your choice of strain"),[22] mitragynine salt, and 7-OH tablets with "20mg 7-hydroxymitragynine and 10mg pseudoxindoxyl mitragynine".[23] There are also three syrups. Si77urp contains "120mg 7-hydroxymitragynine" per ounce, alongside glaucine and matrine.[24] Around these sit products whose active compounds have no page here. Matrine powder is described as "It is both a mu and a kappa agonist".[25] Myrrh isolates are sold for "the unique mu agonist furanodiene terpenes from myrrh".[26] Akuamma, the seed whose main alkaloid is akuammine, appears in the Sophoxy tablets. Kava, kanna and the rest. The kava products include "1 chewable bar/tablet with 200mg kavalactones".[27] Kanna is sold as extracts, for example "This is a very high potency extract of Sceletium tortuosum".[28] The Hawaiian baby woodrose seed page names "d-lysergic acid amide (LSA)"; see LSA.[29] Pyur Thinner is a thinning agent for filling vape carts at home. The current Extra page calls it "a mix of our hemp derived C8 triglycerides".[30]

One product was not archived. A buyer wrote of the Miami Snow pre-workout in September 2026 that "its got a good euphoric hit from the dmha and methylliberine"; see DMHA and methylliberine.[31]

What buyers report

Method. Reddit was searched through PullPush on 5 October 2026 for "rainy forest farms", "rainy forest farm", "rainyforestfarms" and "rainy forest", every query paginated to the end.[32] Results were kept where the text names the farm. That left 870 threads and 1,139 mentions between September 2015 and October 2026. 199 threads were started by someone other than the vendor. All 199 were read, and the full text of 102. 75 of them contain a first-hand report or a finding. Thread ids for every count are in the research file.

Shipping and contact. The site sets the expectation itself: "Total delivery time is 1-3 weeks on average", and "it is not unusual for there to be no updates until it is delivered".[33] Fourteen threads between 2021 and 2026 were posted by buyers whose order had not shipped or not arrived. One buyer wrote "I have called probably 10 times".[34] Another, emailing the shop, got the bounce "The recipient server did not accept our requests to connect".[35] Several later posted that the order did arrive. Two report that an order never came. In the 2025 case the tracking number "was returned as an unknown address".[36] Nine threads describe a phone or email that did not work. Good reports exist too: in August 2026 a glaucine buyer wrote "On the 3rd it's was shipped and it's here now on the 6th".[37]

What arrived. Twelve threads complain about the product. The complaints include cart oil that bubbles, precipitates or tastes wrong, broken hardware, and Amanita that did little. In 2021 a buyer of an ounce of distillate wrote "there is only 23 grams of distillate".[38] In December 2025 a buyer of four party pills "did not get Club Mixxx but instead received X-otiX". The same buyer wrote "I tried to email their listed contact and it was blocked" and summed up all four as "Might as well have been sugar pills".[39] Another, looking at the party pills, wrote "I really don't believe it's what they say".[40] A first-time X-otiX user noted "There isn't any directions on the label".[41] Twenty-one threads praise a product, including "A lot of people talk shit on rff but they definitely have some fire".[42]

Two safety warnings. In 2019 a cart-maker checked the safety data sheet for Pyur Thinner. They found "The maker of Pyur has a MSDS sheet that lists the two ingredients in it: n-Octanoic Acid and 1-nonanecarboxylic Acid". Those are caprylic and capric acid, and they wrote that they "neither exist in hempseed oil. They do exist in MCT oil, however".[43] The shop then described the product as hemp-derived. The current page says C8 triglycerides,[30] which is the main component of MCT oil. In 2021 a kanna user posted a warning against vaping the shop's kanna distillate: "I do not think this kanna distillate is suitable for vaping".[44]

Who is doing the praising. For several years the shop's best publicity was in r/cleancarts, a vape-safety subreddit. There one account wrote the sub's list of clean brands, and Rainy Forest Farms was on a short list of approved delta-8 sellers. A commenter put it to that account directly: "you highly push this pyur thinner made by rainy forest farms and now the only d8 cart in the world you suggest is also made by this brand".[45] In January 2022 another wrote that the same account "is the only person that advocates for rff but I've also heard he's the owner of rff".[46] Nothing found here shows common control, and the dossier does not assert it. In 2023 a buyer in r/AmanitaMuscaria made the narrower point that "The person who posted the glowing review has exclusively posted glowing reviews of Rainy Forest Farms products".[47] Every on-site review on the archived party-pill pages is five stars.

Lab results

The cannabinoid pages claim testing. The edibles say "See pictures/package for full COA lab reports",[48] and the THCa pages say "Our THCa has undergone stringent full panel safety testing".[49] The party pills, glaucine, syrups, matrine, myrrh and DMPEA pages claim no test at all.[18]

In February 2022 buyers in r/delta8testing compared the shop's delta-8 and CBD certificates with the originals. One concluded "these definitely appear to be edited and not white labeled" and pointed out that "the pH is edited here from 5 to 7".[50] A neutral pH was the result that had made the shop stand out to buyers worried about acid residue from isomerisation. Another buyer called ACS Laboratory, the lab named on the certificates, and reported: "I called ACS and was told that the COAs for both 10DC and RFF are not from them but instead belong to a different client".[51] A third found that "None of the delta 8 products have working QR codes", and that "the aromatherapy pods and raw distillate have the same reused test result, same batch number".[52] We did not see the ACS correspondence; it was posted as a screenshot. In January 2025 a THCa buyer wrote that "they additionally use the same COA for all the different THCa blends".[53]

No independent test of the party pills, syrups or alkaloid powders was found anywhere, and /lab-results on this site holds none.

Marketing

The party pills are presented as ecstasy without the word. "Our product tester Molly can't stop raving about this exciting new herbal extract blend", says the Club Mixxx page.[18] Xtasis: "Our product tester Molly considers this our best party supplement yet", and "Each package contains 2 blacklight reactive blue tablets embossed with a dolphin logo".[54] The only review on the X-otiX page reads "I can't believe a couple watermelon candies had me rolling all night".[19]

The syrups are presented as lean. gLean: "Taste the classic purple drank flavor of gLean".[55] Si77urp, the 7-OH syrup: "Screw off the cap and get turnt with this vividly red, powerful syrup".[24] The Space Dust page makes a safety claim about glaucine: "As such it doesn't cause dependence or depress the breathing as opioids do".[56]

The candy-styled cannabinoid edibles are the kind of product the FTC and FDA wrote to six other companies about in July 2023, for selling delta-8 "in packaging that is almost identical to many snacks and candy children eat".[57] Rainy Forest Farms was not among the six.

Payment

The returns page reads "All Sales Final. No cancellations, returns, exchanges, or refunds".[58] Card checkout failed for several buyers in November 2021 and the site went down for some weeks around December. Since then buyers describe paying outside the card system. In 2024: "they sent me an invoice which I paid via cash app".[59] In 2025: "they only take alternative payment methods".[36] Four buyers wrote that they would dispute the charge with their bank.

Regulatory and legal

FDA's warning-letter index and a site search of fda.gov returned nothing under the name on 5 October 2026.[60] CourtListener's federal docket search returned no record for "rainy forest farms", "rainyforestfarms" or "natural herbs boutique".[61]

On legal status, the 7-OH page says "We cannot accept orders for kratom products from Alabama, Mississippi, Vermont, or Wisconsin" and "You are responsible for ensuring the legality of this product in your area".[23] The Sophoxy-7 page says "these tablets comply with requirements that kratom products be less than 1% 7-hydroxymitragynine".[62] The delta-8 pages say it "was recently made legal with the passage of the farm bill in 2018".[11] The home page calls the whole catalogue federally legal,[1] and that catalogue includes 7-OH, HHCP and glaucine.

The site has no age gate. The terms say "The Site is intended for users who are at least 18 years old".[3] A 2021 thread about an order that did not arrive includes the line "I'm also a minor".[63]

What we could not find

  • The operator. No business registration under the name in Oregon, and no legal name on the site to search elsewhere.
  • The ACS correspondence. Buyers posted it as images. ACS was not contacted, so the lab's statement is reported here as a buyer's account of it.
  • Tests of the alkaloid products. No certificate or independent test of any party pill, syrup, glaucine, matrine or myrrh product was found.
  • The WordPress-era site. The archive returned nothing for rainyforestfarms.wordpress.com. It is not clear whether it was never captured or the query was throttled.
  • Social accounts. Instagram, Facebook and YouTube accounts under the name exist and were not read, because they sit behind logins.
