NBOMes & NBOHs
An NBOMe is a 2C-x phenethylamine carrying a benzyl group on the nitrogen; an NBOH carries a hydroxylated version of that ring instead. The addition raises 5-HT2A affinity steeply and destroys oral activity, so these are held in the mouth on blotter — the same format as LSD, which is what they are most often sold as.
The margin is far narrower than what they are sold as. An active dose is small enough that how evenly a solution was laid across a sheet becomes the variable deciding the dose, and these compounds are convulsant, vasoconstrictive and hyperthermic when that goes wrong: agitation, seizures and deaths are the reported pattern, and it is not LSD's pattern. Members differ — 25I-, 25B-, 25C-, 25N- and 25H-NBOMe, 25I-NBOH and 25B-NBOH — but nothing in the series has been characterised in people the way its format implies.
