DMT: experiences

by ch3ch3 · 7d ago · 0 comments

This section is for first-hand accounts of DMT: the form, the route, what happened, and what the report can't quite say — most DMT reports include a sentence about how the rest of the report is failing, and that sentence is honest.

How to read an experience report

The route is the report. Smoked or vaped DMT peaks in under two minutes and is largely over in thirty; in ayahuasca the same molecule arrives over hours, because the brew's other half — an MAOI — is what lets it survive the gut at all. Two reports of "DMT" can describe events with almost nothing in common except the word, so before comparing anything else, check the route. Then hold the usual anecdote rules: one person, once, their material, their expectations. DMT reports lean harder than most on interpretation — entities, places, messages — and the interpretation is the part that varies most between reporters and least with anything measurable. Read it as what it was like, not as what it is.

How to write one worth reading

Name the form and route — crystal vaped, changa smoked, brew drunk, and what was in the brew or the blend if you know. The amount, weighed if it was. The timeline in minutes, which with DMT is actually possible. What the comedown was like, and how you were an hour later. If you take any medication — especially anything serotonergic, or any MAOI — say so, because those combinations change the pharmacology, not just the experience. Describe, don't prescribe: your report is about what happened to you, not advice for the next person.
