The long read
Exodus, which also calls itself Exo Club, is the company that distributed Buzzers, the tablets sold as cat's claw that Utah's agriculture department tied to a death in July 2026 and found to contain two opioid derivatives of kratom.[1][2] Our article on the Utah deaths sets out that investigation. This page is about the company: who it is on paper, what it sold before Buzzers, and what independent tests and its own buyers found in those products.

Figure 1. Exodus from founding to the closure banner. Every row is sourced in the text. [3]
Who they say they are, and what the record says
The store's About page, archived in November 2023, says Exodus "materialized as a visionary concept" "in the latter part of february 2023".[3] It names its founder, Chris Wheeler, and describes him as "the co founder of savage enterprises in 2013", a hemp company this site has not written about.[3] The footer gave a California address, "25351 commercentre dr 150 lake forest ca 92630", and an email address at a second domain, "info exoduscanna com".[3] The store's terms put any dispute in arbitration that "shall occur in or around irvine ca".[4]

Figure 2. The About page in November 2023, its first year. The company dates itself to February 2023, gives a Lake Forest, California address and lists mushroom, blue lotus and nutmeg products beside THC. [3]
By July 2024 the footer had moved to Wyoming: "1712 pioneer ave ste 105 cheyenne wy 82001".[5][6] The laboratory reports the store posted from 2025 give the client as "client exodus lic 1712 pioneer suite 150 cheyenne wy 82001".[7] The store is age-gated, and its footer says "this product is not for use by or sale to persons under the age of 18 or 21".[6] The product pages kept saying "we are a california based company".[5]
The company's legal name appears in the trademark record. The EXODUS mark, for vape devices, was filed in March 2023 by a Wyoming company, and the registration certificate of April 2024 is made out to "new savage llc wyoming limited liability company 1712 pioneer ave cheyenne".[8] The USPTO shows an "automatic update of assignment of ownership" in September 2024, and now gives the owner as "owner name exodus enterprises llc owner address 7535 irvine center dr ste 200 irvine california", with "state or country where organized delaware".[9] A Delaware company of that name is listed as a "domestic limited liability company jurisdiction delaware" on OpenCorporates.[10] Wyoming's register, as OpenCorporates mirrors it, lists "the new savage llc company number 2023 001226594" as inactive.[11]

Figure 3. The EXODUS mark was registered in April 2024 to New Savage LLC of Cheyenne. The USPTO now lists Exodus Enterprises LLC of Delaware as its owner. [8]
The Eat Ohmz line had a company of its own. The EAT OHMZ trademark application of March 2024 gives the applicant as "owner of mark eat ohmz llc mailing address 1712 pioneer avenue suite 101", and it is signed by the same founder, whose "signatory's position member" is recorded on the form.[12] OpenCorporates lists "eat ohmz llc company number 2024 001424814 status inactive".[13] The Buzzers paperwork uses a third name. Its chain of custody document is issued by Buzzers LLC and describes "exodus enterprises llc the distributor of buzzers products".[2] The domain printed on that document, buzzersllc.com, had no registration in the .com registry when we looked on October 12, 2026. A Wyoming company called "buzzers supplements co llc company number 2025 001855157 status active" exists at the same Cheyenne building; nothing we read ties it to Exodus.[14]

Figure 4. The names in the documents, drawn from the sources below. A dashed line means the name matches and nothing more. [2]
So the store names no legal entity. The products carry names of limited companies in Wyoming, the trademark sits with a Delaware company that gives an Irvine address, and the Cheyenne address appears with suites 101, 105 and 150 across different documents.[12][6][7] Utah's agriculture department told KUTV in October 2026 that "the manufacturers have used dummy addresses and unconventional distribution methods", without naming a company.[15] The domains are exoclub.com (registered in 2004 and used by Exodus from 2023), exoduscanna.com (registered March 2023), eatohmz.com (March 2024) and getbuzzers.com (September 2025), according to the .com registry.
What they sell
Hemp and "mushroom" products, 2023 onward. The November 2023 home page sold THC-A vapes, gummies whose label says they are "jammed with thca thcp thcb and delta 8 live resin", and "Dope Boyz" blue lotus vapes, for which "we sourced blue lotus flower extracted the active ingredient and made the compound vapable".[16] Its first-listed line was Mushy Vapes: "our mushy vapes are 2200mg of proprietary mushroom extract".[16] The product page lists only "proprietary mushroom blend with terpenes for flavor", in a device that "has 2 2 grams of a hemp mushroom extract blend".[17] The trademark filing for EXODUS used one as its proof of use, a page at "exoduscanna com product 1g amanita vape single strawberry kiwi".[18]

Figure 5. Mushy Vapes, the store's own product image. The box shows an amanita-style toadstool; the store's image files for the line are named "amanita vape". [19]
What is in Mushy Vapes is not settled by anything the store posted. A buyer who reviews mushroom products wrote in March 2025 that "the lab tests insist it doesn't" contain THC, "despite earlier ones saying hhc".[20] Another bought a sister product, Mushy Tabz, and found the store's certificate for it reported "no active ingredients detected".[21] That certificate, from Excelbis Labs in June 2025, is on the store as "sample id 2506exl2686 11008 strain mushy tabz", and every one of the 17 compounds on its list, muscimol among them, is marked not detected.[22]
7-OH, 2024 to 2025. In March 2024 the company began selling Eat Ohmz, a tablet card labelled 7-hydroxymitragynine. The store's page said "18mg per tablet ingredients mitragyna speciosa kratom leaf extract", and told buyers that "7 hydroxy is kratom".[5] The card it filed with the trademark office says the same.[23] A shot, Sip Ohmz, followed: "8 servings total 60mg per bottle".[24] Later came Ohmz Conez, ice cream cones, and Chew Ohmz gummies.[25] Our 7-OH page and the kratom page have what is known about each.

Figure 6. The Eat Ohmz card as filed with the trademark application in March 2024: 18 mg per tablet, the label says, of 7-hydroxymitragynine. [23]
The trademark office did not register EAT OHMZ. Its examiner noted in October 2024 that "the filing date of pending u s application serial no 98433168 precedes applicant's" filing date, and that application is "98433168 word mark 7ohmz", an older 7-OH brand.[26] In December 2024 the office wrote that "action on this application is suspended until the prior filed application s below either registers or abandons".[27] It was still suspended in June 2026.
In April 2025 the store posted certificates for a second 7-OH tablet brand, Lemmons. The one for the apple flavour reads "35mg green apple exo1989 concentrate client exodus enterprises".[28] That is the only document we found tying Lemmons to the company. One buyer wrote in May 2025 that "i have found these smack the hardest".[29] Another, in December 2025, "bought a 30 count bottle today it was short 3 tablets", and a third replied that they had "heard to avoid exodus tho".[30]

Figure 7. Lemmons, April 2025. The certificate names the client as Exodus Enterprises, which ties a second 7-OH tablet brand to the company. [28]
After 7-OH, 2025 and 2026. In its "Eat Ohmz returns statement", the company told retailers that Eat Ohmz "was one of our top selling products before some of the new regulations were released", and that "we fielded and accepted millions of dollars in returns even though we were not otherwise required to do so".[31] It set an end date: "effective december 31st 2025 we will no longer accept any returns".[31] The statement does not say which regulations it means.

Figure 8. The returns statement, archived in February 2026. The company puts its Eat Ohmz returns in the millions of dollars. [31]
The products that replaced the 7-OH line name no active compound. Some reached shops: the Kures web store listed "buzzers cat s claw tablets purple taffy" in October 2026, and a buyer wrote of Thizziez that "i grabbed these from kures" (see our Kures dossier).[32][33] Buzzers, sold as cat's claw from late 2025, is covered in the Utah article. Thizziez, listed by February 2026, is "a next gen tablet powered by a proprietary ketone blend", sold with "each one loaded with euphoric energy and vibrant visuals" and the assurance that "thizziez contains no restricted substances".[34] Its page warns: "do not use this product if you are subject to frequent drug testing".[34] We found no certificate for it on the store. One buyer who took two wrote in June 2026 that "this was more like a lysergic trip headspace".[35]

Figure 9. Thizziez, February 2026: a proprietary ketone blend with no named ingredient, sold as legal in every state. [34]
Ketty TranQuil tabs are sold for "smooth laid back vibes of kratom but without all of the hassle", and their page names "corydalis rhizoma corydalis yanhusuo and stephania cepharantha hayata" as the main ingredients.[36] Dosed gummies contain "a proprietary blend of mad honey extracts"; the store's own FAQ tells a buyer who feels seriously unwell to "inform medical personnel immediately that you have ingested grayanotoxin".[37]

What buyers report
Method: we read every post in the local archive of r/7_hydroxymitragynine, r/7oh, r/7ohm, r/mysterymagicmushrooms and 34 other subreddits whose title or text names Exodus, Exo Club, Eat Ohmz, Sip Ohmz, Ohmz Conez, Lemmons, Thizziez or Mushy, on October 12, 2026. Eat Ohmz alone appears in more than 120 posts between April 2024 and early 2026. We read 25 threads in full. These are anecdotes, dated.
The doubts began in the first week. On April 4, 2024 a buyer wrote that "this product supposedly contains 4 18mg 7 oh tablets but i highly doubt it".[38] On April 20 a buyer who had paid for a laboratory test posted the result and summed it up as "about 15 20 times the strength of regular leaf powder no 7 oh though".[39] Ten days later another wrote that "they had a lab originally posted that showed nd on 7hydroxymitragynine that got taken down"; we could not check that.[40] In July a third posted a test of an "18mg" tablet: "not even a milligram".[41]
On August 23, 2024 an account signing as "ceo of exodus eat ohmz" answered in the same forum.[42] "We had originally partnered with a manufacturer for 7 that assured us of the quality and presence of 7 oh and provided lab tests to match", it wrote, and "we have issued over a million dollars in refunds returns and swaps to our wholesale customers".[42] It said that "we have since switched to a completely different manufacturer for the raw 7 oh", and offered free Ohmz Conez to anyone who wrote in.[42] Several replies say the offer was honoured, shipping included.
The complaints about the shot continued after that. In December 2024 a buyer posted a Sip Ohmz bottle with "very contradicting information printed on the outside of this shot", including a panel reading "kratom leaf extract 7 hydroxymitragynine 50mg" against 60 mg on the front.[43] In August 2025 another wrote that a shot "tasted identical to the mit shots", meaning mitragynine extract.[44] In January 2026 a buyer wrote "i had 2 sealed exodus sip ohmz 60mg" and described a violent illness afterwards; nobody tested the bottles.[45]
In January 2025 a buyer posted that "eatohmz is try to do a ceased and desist on test my kratom", the independent testing project whose results are below.[46] The thread shows a screenshot of a letter we have not seen in full, and we found no lawsuit.
Not every report is bad. In October 2024 a buyer asked "do the eat ohmz actually work now", having noticed a change after the free cones, and the Lemmons thread above is mostly favourable.[47][29]
Lab results
The store published certificates for nearly everything it sold, from four laboratories: Infinite Chemical Analysis in San Diego, Excelbis Labs in Santa Ana, and for Buzzers Cora Science and PharmLabs. Read beside independent tests, they disagree.
Eat Ohmz. The certificate the store posted in April 2024, marked "qa sample informational only" and made out to "eat ohmz 1 strain eat ohmz 1", reports 60.3 mg per gram of alkaloids, all of it 7-OH, and no mitragynine.[48] TestMyKratom bought a card in July 2024 and had Cora Science test it. The result: "7 hydroxymitragynine report results 0 100 mg unit", against 18 mg on the label, and "mitragynine report results 31 6 mg unit".[49] TestMyKratom's summary: "eat ohmz tablets contained nearly zero 7 hydroxy".[25] Mitragynine is kratom's main alkaloid, much weaker than 7-OH; its page is here.

Figure 11. The certificate the store posted for Eat Ohmz in April 2024: all of the alkaloid content is 7-OH, and mitragynine is not detected. [48]

Figure 12. Three months later, an independent test of a card bought by TestMyKratom: 0.1 mg of 7-OH in a tablet labelled 18 mg, and 31.6 mg of mitragynine. [49]
TestMyKratom's November 2024 round, of batches made after the CEO's statement, found that "chew ohmz 7 oh gummies contained zero 7 hydroxy", that "ohmz conez contained 17 51mg of 7 hydroxy which was about 50 weaker than its 35mg claim", and that a red "11-OH" tablet "contained 17 86mg of 7 hydroxy which was about 29 weaker than its 25mg claim".[25] In May 2026 the Center for Forensic Science Research and Education bought an eat Ohmz Red tablet and found its 7-OH close to the label, with a small amount of mitragynine pseudoindoxyl the label did not name; our label-versus-lab article has the table.[50]
Sip Ohmz. The store's own image for the shot is a certificate for "sip ohmz strain sip ohmz category ingestible type beverage", reporting about 61 mg of 7-OH a bottle.[51][52] TestMyKratom's June 2024 test of "sip ohmz lot number 2024 06" found 7-OH below the limit of quantitation.[53] A second test in September: "once again sip ohmz liquid shot contained zero 7 hydroxy", and "this product contained very high levels of mitragynine".[54]

Figure 13. The store's own image for Sip Ohmz, a certificate reporting about 61 mg of 7-OH a bottle. TestMyKratom's two tests of the shot, in June and September 2024, found none. [51]
Buzzers. The first Buzzers certificate on the store, "buzzers blue razz sample id 2511exl6700 29070", is dated November 22, 2025 and describes the sample as "type soft chew".[55] It tested 17 compounds: kratom's main alkaloids, the psilocybin family, muscimol and ibotenic acid. All were reported not detected.[55] The May 2026 certificate for "sample id 2605exl3950 16117 strain baja rush" lists the same 17 with the same result.[56] Neither list includes mitragynine pseudoindoxyl or MGM-15, the two compounds Utah's laboratory found in Buzzers in July 2026: "the tested products contained both mitragynine pseudoindoxyl and mgm 15".[1] The later PharmLabs reports in the chain of custody document do include MGM-15 and do not include pseudoindoxyl; the Utah article reads them line by line.[2]

Figure 14. The earliest Buzzers certificate on the store, November 2025: 17 compounds tested, none found. Mitragynine pseudoindoxyl and MGM-15, the two compounds Utah later found, are not on the list. [55]
Regulatory and legal
Utah's agriculture department announced on July 30, 2026 that "investigations are ongoing regarding a recent death and several severe health incidents associated with buzzers brand" cat's claw tablets, and told retailers to remove them.[1] On October 5 the state's health department reported "four deaths across the state linked to high potency illegal chemical compounds".[57] The poison center's medical director told NBC News that "one of the four deaths was linked to a buzzers product".[58] NBC wrote that "exo club which makes buzzers did not immediately respond to a request for comment".[58] The Utah article has the agencies' words in full, the federal scheduling of both compounds, and the warnings from California, Tennessee and Virginia.
The supply chain in the company's own document runs from "starting material stacks wilson nc pressing facility pressing facility llc florida final packaging fill king santa ana ca".[2] The powder certificate inside it was made out to "client atlantic global supply".[2] We list those firms here rather than give them pages of their own: what is known about them is what this one document says. Pressing Facility LLC has no address in it.
We found no FDA warning letter, recall, stop-sale order, lawsuit or criminal charge naming Exodus Enterprises, Exo Club, Eat Ohmz LLC or Buzzers, in the FDA's warning letter and recall pages and in news searches on October 12, 2026.
By September the store had stopped selling. Its home page on October 12, 2026 carried a scrolling banner, "unable to accept orders at this time", over the same Buzzers advertisement as before. The brand site, archived the same day, still read "no 7 oh or kratom legal in all 50 states".[59][60]

Figure 15. October 12, 2026, a week after Utah announced four deaths. The store still leads with Buzzers and its legal-in-all-states badge, under a banner saying it cannot take orders. [59]
Utah's July release calls the two compounds Schedule I drugs in the state.[1]
Still open
- Who made Buzzers. The company's document names a Florida pressing facility without an address, and a powder supplier whose certificate is made out to Atlantic Global Supply in Wilson, North Carolina.[2] A search of the trademark register for either name returned nothing.
- Whether Buzzers LLC, Buzzers Co LLC and the Wyoming Buzzers Supplements Co LLC are one company. The last is the only one we found on a register.[14]
- What Thizziez contains. No certificate for it was found on the store or in its archived lab pages, and no buyer has posted a test.
- What Mushy Vapes contain. The certificates the store posted report no muscimol and no THC; buyers dispute both.[20][22]
- Whether Exodus ever replied to NBC, KUTV or Utah's investigators. Nothing published by October 12, 2026 says so.[58]
- Whether the letter to TestMyKratom became a lawsuit. Searches of the federal court mirrors found none.[46]
