Mellow Fellow: hemp-derived THC blends from Fort Lauderdale, the labs that certify them, and the allegations

Who they say they are, and what the record says

The site at mellowfellow.fun is Mellow Fellow, a brand of hemp-derived THC vapes, edibles and flower. Its terms say “this website is operated by Mellow Fellow Fun LLC”.[1] Its About page says it is “located in South Florida” and that “we operate within industry-leading production and product development company Arvida Labs”.[2] A December 2025 release says “Mellow Fellow and Arvida Labs are sister companies”.[3] The contact page gives no street address and no telephone number: calls go through the browser, “no phone number needed”.[4]

Florida's corporate register, as of the Division of Corporations' quarterly data file of July 2026, lists Mellow Fellow Fun, LLC as the Florida branch of an out-of-state company, document M21000011272, filed on 2021-08-23. Its principal address is 1120 NW 51st Court, Fort Lauderdale. Its manager is another company, Ayxter LLC, which has no record of its own in the Florida file. Its registered agent is a lawyer whose address in the filing is 1291 NW 65th Place, Fort Lauderdale.[5]

Arvida Labs LLC, document L21000244356, filed on 2021-05-25, gives 1291 NW 65th Place as its principal address. Its manager is Gerard S. Coombs Jr., and its registered agent is Corporation Service Company.[5] Precision Fill and Pack LLC, document L24000180822, filed on 2024-04-16, shares the brand's principal address at 1120 NW 51st Court. Its managers are the same Arvida manager and a second person.[5] The lab's certificates name Precision Fill and Pack as the products' manufacturer (see Lab results).

The same file shows that Mellow Fellow Fun was one of five out-of-state companies registered in Florida on the same day, 2021-08-23, with near-consecutive document numbers. The other four are Del Cann Oil, Del Cann Edibles, Dexxcann Services and LG Wholesale. Ayxter LLC also manages Del Cann Oil and Del Cann Edibles. Arvida Labs' manager is a manager of Del Cann Edibles, Dexxcann Services and LG Wholesale.[5]

The domain was registered on 2020-08-28,[6] the archive's first capture of the site is from 2021-01-14,[7] and the first Reddit post naming the brand, titled “Mellow Fellow Review”, is from 2021-03-09.[8]

What they sell

Blends of several cannabinoids in vape cartridges and disposables, single-cannabinoid cartridges, gummies and other edibles, seltzers, and from 2025 THCa flower. The product pages are specific. The Creativity Blend cartridge lists per 1 ml “HHC 0.96 mg, 307 mg; D8 0.88 mg, 282 mg; CBG 0.31 mg, 99 mg; CBD 0.31 mg, 99 mg; D10 0.25 mg, 81 mg” (per serving, per cartridge).[12] The Euphoria Blend adds H4CBD and a little THCP: “HHC 1.14 mg, 365 mg; D8 0.88 mg, 282 mg; H4CBD 0.28 mg, 88 mg; CBD 0.23 mg, 74 mg; CBG 0.15 mg, 50 mg; THCP 0.06 mg, 18 mg”.[13] A single-cannabinoid delta-8 cartridge holds “total cannabinoids per cartridge 880 mg”.[14] The 2 ml Charged Blend lists “HHC 2.25 mg, 1440 mg; H4CBD 0.27 mg, 176 mg; THCV 0.15 mg, 98 mg; CBG 0.12 mg, 79 mg”.[15] Some names point to compounds with no page here, such as the Desire Blend's “THCH + Delta 11 + HHC + Delta 8 + CBD + CBG 2ml disposable vape”[16] and the 2022 Motivation Blend's “Tangie HHC PHC CBG”.[17] Edibles and seltzers carry delta-9 THC, “delta 9 THC 10 mg” a can.[18][19] The certificates page lists “max dose gummies 20 ct 10,000mg” and “1500mg CBN sleep gummies”.[20]

Every product page carries the same strip: “hemp derived cannabinoids, federally legal, lab tested, PhD pharmacist formulated”.[12]

The brand is sold mostly through smoke shops. Of the Reddit posts read for this page, most describe a purchase in a shop, and one shop worker wrote in 2023 that “my smoke shop is a licensed distributor for Mellow Fellow and all our MF disposables have the logo”.[21]

What buyers report

Reddit was searched through PullPush on 2026-10-06 for “mellow fellow” and “mellowfellow”. It returned 288 posts with the name in the title, from 2021-03-09 to 2026-08-16.[22] Fourteen were about something else (a Pennsylvania marijuana strain of the same name, a seed company's strain, shop advertisements), and 33 were cross-posts of a post already counted. Every title of the rest was read and sorted by hand, and the bodies of 30 threads were read in full. Counts are of posts, not people, and are a floor: a post was counted only when its title or body described the poster's own product. Reddit is a sample of what buyers chose to post.

Reviews, questions and praise are most of it, 181 posts. “This shames any THCA carts I've had”, wrote one buyer of a THCP cartridge in December 2024.[23]

Is it genuine: 21 posts, almost all in r/fakecartridges, r/cleancarts and similar, ask whether a Mellow Fellow product bought in a shop is the real thing, usually because the logo, the colour or the packaging differed from an earlier purchase.

A second storefront uses the name. mellowfellowcarts.com was registered on 2026-05-08.[24] In captures of 2026-09-30 it calls itself the “official Mellow Fellow store”,[25] lists an “Arvida Labs partnership” beside a South Florida warehouse on its contact page,[26] and takes bitcoin, USDT, “Apple Pay, Chime, CashApp” at checkout.[27] None of its archived pages links to mellowfellow.fun, and none gives a company name or a street address. Whether it is connected to the brand is not established here.

Device faults: 13 posts, mostly disposables that would not charge or hit, one that “spewed hot distillate on my tongue” after preheating.[28]

Illness after use: 9 posts from 7 posters. They report coughing, bronchitis (“I went to the doctor yesterday and was diagnosed with acute bronchitis”, 2023-11-25),[29] memory trouble lasting days (“for 5 days after I had a hard time recounting memories”, 2024-08-28),[30] panic attacks, and one emergency-room visit: “three hits later I ended up in the ER with slurred speech”, the poster wrote on 2025-01-24, and “according to the docs I tested positive for both amphetamines” and opioids.[31] That poster did not say where the vape was bought, and in a market where the brand's packaging is copied that matters. None of the nine cites a test of the product.

Orders from the website: none of these posts describes a website order that did not arrive.

Lab disputes: 6 posts, and allegations and lawsuits: 5. Those are the subject of the two sections after Lab results.

Lab results

The certificates page, archived on 2026-07-31, links 685 distinct certificates of analysis.[20] Each linked certificate was read on 2026-10-06 and sorted by the lab that issued it: ACS Laboratory (Sun City Center, Florida) 343, KCA Laboratories (Nicholasville, Kentucky) 256, Kaycha Labs (Miramar, Florida) 46, SC Labs (Denver) 20, all of them THCa flower, Accurate Test Lab(s) of Fort Lauderdale 16, and CannaBusiness Laboratories 4. Older certificates, on the brand's own Shopify file store, come from Iso Analytics, Inc. of Miami Lakes, Florida in 2022 (“this sample has been tested by Iso Analytics, Inc.”)[32] and from PharmLabs of San Diego. Most of the current certificates include residual-solvent, heavy-metal and microbial panels as well as potency. Ten product lines on the page have no certificate and read “COA in process” or “COA in progress”, among them “single cannabinoid edibles: COA in progress” and “THCa flower 3.5g exotic jar one hitter: COA in process”.[20]

The About page says “all products are pharmacist formulated and every batch of oil undergoes full panel testing”.[2]

Accurate Test Lab(s). The lab gives its address as “Accurate Test Labs, 1305 NW 65th Pl, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309”.[33] Its certificates for this brand go back at least to May 2024, when the customer was Arvida Labs: “Certificate of Analysis, Arvida Labs, customer 1291 NW 65th Pl, Suite B, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309”, for a “Mellow Fellow EU THCP Blend 2ml disposable, Purple Punch”. Its footer begins “Accurate Test Lab LLC utilizes” traceable reference standards.[34] The May 2026 certificates name the maker: “manufacturer: Precision Fill and Pack, food entity number 426021, address 1309 NW 65th Pl, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33309”.[33] Its About page says “we are ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited with more than 8 years of experience”, naming no accrediting body,[35] and its certificates carry a PJLA logo with accreditation number 118038. Searches of the A2LA and ANAB directories on 2026-10-06 returned no entry for the lab.

So the lab, Arvida Labs and the manufacturer named on the lab's certificates give three addresses on one street: 1305, 1291 and 1309 NW 65th Place. The brand's own principal address is a different street, 1120 NW 51st Court. The US Census geocoder, queried on 2026-10-06, places 1291, 1305 and 1309 NW 65th Place on the same side of the same block, roughly 18 m and 5 m apart by interpolation; that is an estimate from address ranges, not a survey of the buildings.[36] The county property appraiser lists them as three separate parcels in an industrial park, owned by three different companies, none of them the brand, Arvida Labs, the lab or Precision Fill and Pack.[37][38]

What the flower certificates show against the lab's own copies is in the next section, and what others have alleged is in the one after it.

The certificates that name someone else

The brand's THCa flower was certified by SC Labs of Denver, formerly Botanacor. Each SC Labs certificate prints a link to the lab's own copy of the same test. Six flower certificates on the brand's Shopify file store, for tests reported in March and April 2025, were compared with the lab's copies at those links on 2026-10-06. All six carry a test ID that the lab issued for a sample from another company, Just Organics Enterprise LLC, under another strain name. One test ID appears on two of the brand's products.

What matches. On each pair the test ID, the batch number, the received, started and reported dates, and every result are the same. So is the lab's note in the margin, which the brand's files keep: the results were generated “using a non-validated, non-compliant method, for informational purposes only”.[40]

What differs. The sample name and the client. On the page, the brand's file for test T000300927 names the sample as Exotic Flower QP THCa Grape Cream Cake (Hybird) and the client as Mellow Fellow. The lab's copy of the same test names the sample Strawburst and the client Just Organics Enterprise LLC.[40]

The text under the page. A PDF carries a layer of text that a reader can select and copy, separate from what the page draws. In each of the brand's six files that layer holds both names. For test T000300927 it reads “Prepared for: Just Organics Enterprise LLC Mellow Fellow Exotic QP THCa Grape Cream Cake (Hybird) Strawburst WillyFlower Wonka”.[39] For the Blueberry Caviar one-hitter it holds “Exotic Flower One Hitter 3.5g THCa Blueberry Caviar Magic Marker”,[41] for the Blue Lobster prerolls “Exotic 2pc Pre-Rolls Blue Lobster”[43] beside the same Magic Marker text, for Gas Mask “Space Kush Watermelon Exotic Flower 1g THCa Gas Mask”,[44] for Gary Payton “Double Bubble Mellow Fellow Enterprise LLC Just Organics”[46] and for Garlic Mintz “Exotic Flower 1g THCa Garlic Mintz Devils Driver”.[48] The lab's copies hold only the lab's names.[45][47][49] The files' own metadata name PDFium as the program that wrote them, with creation dates from 10 October 2025 to 22 January 2026, seven to ten months after the tests were reported. The lab's copies name SC Labs as their creator.

Anyone can repeat this. Open the brand's file from the archived link in the source list, select all the text and paste it into a plain-text editor; then open the verification link printed at the foot of the same page and compare.

One more thing the lab's copies say. Each is itself an amendment: “Amendment to, T000300927, issued on 14 Mar 2025, to correct sample name”,[40] and the same for the others (31 March for T000301464). We have not seen the first issue of any of these tests, so we cannot say what sample name it carried.

Scope. Six of six checked this way trace to Just Organics Enterprise LLC samples. The 20 SC Labs certificates on the brand's certificates page, from December 2025, read “Prepared for: Mellow Fellow” in their text; their verification links lead to a permission-error page, so they could not be compared. In all, 685 certificates are linked from that page.

One explanation a reader will think of is innocent: flower bought from that grower and resold under the brand's own names would carry the grower's tests. Even then, the certificate as the brand published it is not the document the lab issued, and the lab issued that test for another product name. We draw no conclusion about who changed the files or why. That is what the lab_vs_label verdict rests on.

Allegations: who says what, why, and what we could check

Four sets of allegations have been made about Mellow Fellow's products and its lab. For each one, this section gives who makes it and what they stand to gain, where it is written down and how good our copy is, what we could check and what that showed, and how it ended. People are not named inside an allegation. No allegation changes the score on its own. Only what a document shows does.

1. A competitor's lawsuit, 2024: products sold as hemp were over the delta-9 limit. Who: CCT Sciences, LLC, which describes itself in the complaint this way: “Plaintiff is engaged in the business of licensing manufacturers, distributors and retailers to produce and sell delta-8 THC” and other hemp products. It is a competitor. What: “This is a civil RICO action brought pursuant to Florida's Civil Remedies for Criminal Practices Act”, against Mellow Fellow Fun LLC and Arvida Labs LLC. It alleges that “results on Mellow's website supposedly reflecting the composition of products manufactured by Arvida and sold by Mellow do not match the actual composition of the products sold by Mellow”, that the Delta 8 Wedding Cake cartridge “contains a total of 1.98% delta-9 THC”, and that “Arvida is an affiliate of Mellow with overlapping management”.[50] Where: Pinellas County Circuit Court, case 24-005513-CI, e-filed 2024-12-16. Our copy is the complaint's text as reproduced by trellis.law, from an archived capture of 2025-04-13. The plaintiff's lab reports were exhibits and are not in that copy, so we could not see who tested the products or when. What we checked: the three products the complaint names were on the brand's site in 2025, and the Wedding Cake page lists 880 mg of delta-8 and no delta-9.[14] How it ended: a court-records summary found by web search says a notice of voluntary dismissal with prejudice was filed on 2026-01-08. We have not seen a copy of that notice. Nothing in our copy is a finding of fact.

2. Anonymous independent tests posted to Reddit, 2023 and 2025: less THCP and more delta-9 than the certificates say. Who: two anonymous accounts. The first, in September 2023, called its post “the first part in a series where I will release testing of product that was obtained from brand websites or designated distributor sites”.[51] The second posted two tests in September and October 2025 and, in January 2026, the post on the co-owner's complaint below. Neither says who paid for the tests. A commenter on the 2025 post wrote that the last such post “was produced by a trade lobby group that were direct competitors to Arvida Labs”.[52] What: for a Euphoria live-resin cartridge, the 2025 poster set the brand's figure, “made with pure delta 9 THCP: 1.74%”, against an independent KCA result with far less THCP and more delta-9 THC.[52] For a Phantom OG cartridge the poster reported that the independent test “shows levels of delta 9 THC 1.51%, over the legal limit of 0.3%”.[53] Where: the posts. The independent results are images on an image host, not documents we can cite. The brand's side is its own certificates. What we checked: the brand's KCA certificate for the Euphoria cartridge, on its own Shopify file store, does report 1.74% delta-9 THCP and no delta-9 THC,[54] so the poster quoted the brand's figure correctly. We could not check the other side. In the October thread a commenter pointed out that “those dates don't add up”, and the poster replied “I mistakenly did the calculations off the newest COA and not the original COA”.[53] How it ended: it has not. The posts are claims by unnamed people with tests we cannot read.

3. A co-owner's federal complaint, 2026: the lab was not independent. Who: a co-owner of the businesses, suing their other owners. He says he was shut out of their governance and is owed pay and distributions, and the complaint puts his ownership stake at more than $30 million on the companies' own internal valuation. That is his stake in what he alleges. What: the allegation about the lab first appears in the second amended complaint, Document 90, entered on 2026-01-20. The original complaint of May 2025, Document 1, does not mention a testing lab.[55] Document 90 makes the allegation in two places. Paragraph 10 says assets of Arvida Labs went into “a deal” with a testing lab that the plaintiff did not consent to, and that the defendants who control the businesses “do have interests in” that lab; that paragraph does not name it. Paragraph 76, in a list of what the complaint calls loans to companies in which the plaintiff has no interest, names Accurate Test Labs as a testing lab “used by the Companies”, putting the word independent in quotation marks, and says it “received loans totaling approximately $121,010” by November 2025.[56] Where: United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, case 0:25-cv-60959. Our copy is the 49-page filing itself; every page carries the case number, the document number and the docket date, which match entry 90 on the court's docket. The complaint is the co-owner's account, and it refers to no exhibit for the figure.

The allegation reached the public through a Reddit post of 2026-01-28 by the anonymous account behind the 2025 tests above. The post summarised the complaint as alleging that the brand's owners “funded and exercised control over” Accurate Test Labs, and added in its own words that “Accurate Test Labs is located almost directly across the street from Arvida”.[57] Those are the poster's words. The filing alleges loans and an interest; it does not say control.

What we checked. Florida's hemp law requires a hemp extract to have “a certificate of analysis prepared by an independent testing laboratory”, and defines one as a lab that “does not have a direct or indirect interest in the entity whose product is being tested”.[58] That is the standard the allegation invokes. Whether Accurate Test Labs meets that definition is a legal question this page does not answer. These are the facts on paper:

• Addresses. The lab gives 1305 NW 65th Place. Arvida Labs gives 1291, and the manufacturer on the lab's own certificates 1309.[5][33] By the Census geocoder they are near neighbours on the same side of one block, not opposite each other.[36] By the county property appraiser they are three parcels with three different owners, none of them any of these companies.[37][38] An address in a multi-tenant industrial park shows nothing about who owns a business.
• Filings. Accurate Test Lab LLC, document L20000383549, filed on 2020-12-08 at 1305 NW 65th Place, lists two managers. One of them is the lawyer who is the registered agent of Mellow Fellow Fun, LLC, and of Del Cann Edibles LLC.[5] The same file lists him in many other companies, most with no tie to this group, which is what a business lawyer's practice looks like; he is not Arvida Labs' registered agent. A manager's listing is a role in a filing, not proof of ownership or of a financial interest. It is the only tie on paper between the lab and the brand's side that we found.
• Which products the lab tested. Of the 685 certificates on the certificates page in July 2026, 16 are from Accurate: eight from May 2024, whose customer is Arvida Labs at 1291 NW 65th Pl,[34] and eight from May 2026. More, such as THCP one-hitters of December 2025, are on the brand's Shopify file store. The other 669 are from five labs in Florida, Kentucky and Colorado with no tie to the brand that we found.

How it ended: without a ruling on any of it. The parties filed a “stipulation of dismissal” on 2026-05-19 and the court entered an order “dismissing/closing case” on 2026-05-20.[59] A release on 2026-06-12 says the parties “have reached a confidential resolution” and that “the parties chose not to disclose additional details regarding the terms of the confidential resolution”.[60]

4. Further claims in the same post: recycled flower certificates, a predecessor lab, an invented cannabinoid. Who: the same anonymous account. What: that the brand was “reusing or falsifying almost year-old flower test results belonging to Just Organics Enterprise LLC, Colorado”, that an earlier lab, Iso Analytics, served the same role before Accurate, and that certificates reported cannabinoids that do not exist.[57] What we checked: the brand's own files, which the post links.

• The flower certificates are the subject of the section above. The post was the lead; what we report there is what the brand's files and the lab's copies show.
• Iso Analytics, Inc., of Miami Lakes, did issue at least one of the brand's 2022 certificates.[32] That is all the files show about it.
• PHC is named on the 2022 Motivation Blend.[17] Whether it is a real compound is outside what a certificate can settle, and we make no claim about it.

How it ended: these claims were not part of any case we found.

Marketing

A 2022 disposable was sold with “say goodbye to social anxiety and hello to feeling comfortably alone”, beside the standard line that “these products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease”.[61] The About page says “by choosing Mellow Fellow not only are you safe from harmful chemicals”.[2] Every product page in 2025 and 2026 says “federally legal”.[12]

Payment and refunds

The shipping policy says that “any attempt or request to cancel or chargeback an order after it is placed or shipped will be viewed as attempted fraud”, and that “we may share your information with other companies as someone associated with a high fraud risk”.[62] Returns of unused items are accepted: “you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return”.[63] No Reddit post in the frame describes a refused refund or chargeback from the website.

Regulatory and legal

openFDA's recall records, searched on 2026-10-06 for “Mellow Fellow” and “Arvida” by firm and by product, returned no match,[64] and neither name is on FDA's list of warning letters to cannabidiol and cannabis-derived product firms, current as of September 2025.[65] A search of the FTC's legal library for either name returned nothing. The two lawsuits against the brand are in the allegations section: a competitor's civil RICO suit in Pinellas County, reported dismissed in January 2026,[50] and a co-owner's federal suit, dismissed by stipulation in May 2026.[59] Neither is scored. In 2025 the brand was the plaintiff in a federal challenge to an Alabama law on hemp-derived THC. Arvida Labs is the defendant in a contract suit in Washington state, filed 2026-03-05, that this page does not cover.

Age. Every page opens with “confirm your age: are you 21 years old or older?”,[11] and the contact page says “age verification is required at checkout”.[4]

Where it will ship, and what it says about the law. The site lists the states it will not ship to, and the lists differ by page and product. The shipping-restrictions page says “products containing delta 8 THC are not available for shipment to the following states” and names more than a dozen, from Alaska to Mississippi,[66] and a THCa notice excludes “Arkansas, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, Utah”.[11] The FAQ, archived in May 2026, still explains delta-8's legality this way: “the 2018 Farm Bill (§297A) specifically made all derivatives, isomers, and cannabinoids in hemp legal provided the final product has less than 0.3% delta 9 THC”.[67]

It does not mention the federal law of November 2025, P.L. 119-37, which narrows the definition of hemp; as enacted, “the new definition will take effect November 12, 2026”.[68] A later law, P.L. 119-103, “delays the effective date of most of the 2025 hemp definition changes from November 12, 2026 to December 11, 2026”, while the exclusion of cannabinoids not naturally produced by the plant “remains scheduled to take effect on November 12, 2026”.[69] The brand knows it is coming. In December 2025 it and Arvida Labs said the change “will effectively ban most intoxicating hemp-derived THC products nationwide” and that they would “review and adjust product portfolios as needed”.[3]

• The independent test reports in the competitor's suit and in the Reddit posts. They exist as unattached exhibits or as images on an image host, and neither set is in a form this page can cite.
• The notice of dismissal in the competitor's suit. The date and terms above come from a court-records summary; we have not read the notice.
• The first issue of each SC Labs flower test, before the lab's amendment of 14 March 2025, and the 20 December 2025 certificates whose verification links lead to a permission-error page.
• Accurate Test Labs' accreditation. Its certificates print PJLA accreditation number 118038. The A2LA and ANAB directories, searched on 2026-10-06, returned no entry for the lab; whether PJLA lists that number, and since when, is not established here.
• Food permit 426021, the licence number on the certificates for the brand and for Precision Fill and Pack: whose it is in the state's records, and for which address.
• Ayxter LLC, the brand's manager in the Florida file. It has no Florida record, so where it is formed and who runs it is not established here.
• Reviews off Reddit. A Better Business Bureau search for the name in Fort Lauderdale returned no profile.
• Whether mellowfellowcarts.com is connected to the brand.

We did not contact the brand, the labs or the parties to either suit.

Changes

• 2026-10-07: finished for review. Registry facts now come from Florida's July 2026 quarterly corporate file instead of aggregator copies; the co-owner's complaint is quoted from the filing itself, Document 90, rather than from a Reddit post's summary; added the property-appraiser parcels, the federal hemp dates and the brand's own statement on them, the second storefront, the side-by-side certificate comparison and eight figures.
