The residue. A substance belongs in Misc only when there is not yet enough known about it to say what it does — something that has appeared in a seizure report or a vendor listing with no pharmacology attached, no analytical characterisation and no obvious relative. It is not the place for anything with a describable mechanism: if the pharmacology is understood and simply has no neighbours on this tree, the substance goes to Atypical instead.

This area is meant to stay nearly empty, and its size is a diagnostic. If Misc grows past a handful of entries, the tree is missing a family, and the fix is to add that family and move them rather than let the list run. Treat anything filed here as a substance nobody can tell you the effects, dose or interactions of, because that is the criterion for being here.
