Semi-Synthetic Cannabinoids

Esters and hydrogenations of the hemp cannabinoids — THC-O-acetate, HHC-O, HHC-P, H4-CBD — made from CBD and, unlike the Δ8 and HHC isomers filed next door, with no natural occurrence at all. They are kept apart from the phytocannabinoids for that reason and apart from the synthetic cannabinoids for another: in potency and character they behave like THC homologues, not like the full agonists in spice.

This is the market Δ8 built, sold in shops on a legal argument about hemp derivation rather than through pharmaceutical testing. Two things follow. An acetate ester that is swallowed is not the same question as one that is heated in a vape, and that has been raised specifically about THC-O-acetate. And most of the current catalogue is deliberately absent from this tree, because those names have no chemical record to describe — the market outruns the literature.
