The long read
Who they say they are, and what the record says
The store at painreliefkratom.com calls itself Pain Relief Kratom. Buyers on Reddit shortened that to PRK within a month of first finding it. Its page title says “high quality thai kratom extract powder supplier providing pure natural kratom products”,[1] and its only published contacts are two WhatsApp numbers with Thailand's +66 code, the first in 2024 and the second from November 2024 on.[1][2]
Its About text, which by 2026 sits on the page addressed as its contact page, names nobody. It describes a technical team “originating from the pharmaceutical industry our experts boast over 30 years of rich experience” in extraction and purification, and offers mitragynine and 7-OH “in various purities ranging from 30 to 97” percent.[3] It ends with a pitch to other businesses: “we invite you to collaborate with us”.[3] No archived page gives a company name, a registration number, a street address or a person.
The record is short. The domain was registered on 2024-01-21 through Tucows.[4] The registrar's record redacts the registrant's name and address and leaves one field: country Spain, province code ES-AB, Albacete.[5] The archive's first capture of the site is from 2024-03-21.[6] That page still had the shop platform's placeholders: blog cards reading “Example blog post” dated 2022, and a footer reading “Copyright 2005 2015 MySite Ltd All Rights Reserved Powered by Ueeshop”.[7] Ueeshop is a hosted storefront service, and the store's images are served from its file server. The site was still up, and archived, on 2026-10-11.[8]

Figure 1. The home page on 2024-03-21, the archive's first capture. A 5 mg oral strip is already on sale, marked OEM supported. The blog is still template text, and the footer is the shop platform's placeholder. [7]
The first Reddit post naming the store is from 2024-04-10, in r/7_hydroxymitragynine. Its author, an account its readers noted had “a brand new account with 2 posts, both about this product”, wrote: “Apparently it’s a company in Thailand that sells 80% pure 7-Hydroxymitragynine”.[9]
What they sell
Two kinds of thing: kratom leaf and mitragynine extracts, which it has sold since its first capture, and 7-OH (7-hydroxymitragynine), which by September 2024 led the page.[7][1] FDA calls concentrated 7-OH “an opioid that can be more potent than morphine” and says “7 oh is not lawful in dietary supplements”.[10]
Leaf and mitragynine. A “pure kratom powder thai red vein”, extracts sold as “kratom extract 50 mit 50” and “kratom extract 70 mit70”,[11] and in 2024 also 30%, 45% and 90% extracts and a mitragynine reference standard “fully tested by HPLC”.[7]
7-OH powder. Sold by weight, as “100g pack 1000g pack 10g 2g sample only one purchase per account”.[12] The listing calls 7-OH “a prominent alkaloid found in the kratom plant” and does not give a purity for what it sells.

Figure 2. The photograph on the 7-OH powder listing, archived 2026-10-11: an orange, fluffy powder. Buyers describing other brands' 85% powders used the same words. [12]
7-OH oral strips. The product this dossier is mostly about. In March 2024 the home page already listed a “New-Generation Oral Strip for Pain Relief 5mg strip OEM supported”, OEM meaning made for another company to sell under its own name.[7] By September 2024 there were two strip listings, one of them a presale of a strip with a “60mg patch support customization”.[1] The listing archived in 2026 sells “5mg 1000 pieces 10mg 1000 pieces 20mg 1000 pieces”, with a “minimum order of 1000 pieces”.[13] Its own description still says “we offer two potency options for our oral strips”, 5 and 10 mg, under a selector that offers three.[13] It says “the packaging for mint flavor is white the packaging for chocolate flavor is black”, and it sells the packaging as part of the service: “we offer customizable OEM production services allowing you to create a product that perfectly aligns with your brand identity”.[13]

Figure 3. The strips listing as archived on 2026-10-11. It sells 5, 10 and 20 mg strips in lots of 1,000, mint in white sachets and chocolate in black, with the buyer's own branding offered as a service. [13]

Figure 4. The strip itself, as the listing photographs it: a translucent amber square. [13]

Figure 5. The white sachets from the listing, unprinted. The listing assigns white to the mint strip. [13]

Figure 6. The black sachets from the same listing, also unprinted. The listing assigns black to the chocolate strip. [13]

Figure 7. The listing's example of a finished box. The word sublingual is misspelt differently on its front and its side. No brand in this dossier is known to have used it. [13]
The photographs on that listing are an amber film, plain white sachets, plain black sachets and a rendered retail box. The image files sit in the platform's folders dated August 2024.
Who may buy. In April 2024 individuals could order through the site. By May a buyer reported that the store asked him “to order and then text them on WhatsApp to confirm it before you pay”, then told him “they can’t sell to individuals now because there’s too much regulation risk”.[14] The September 2024 home page says “individual buyers are not allowed to purchase” and, of the strips, “this product is only sold to business customers and accepts customization”.[1] From November 2024 each listing carries the same line: “this product is solely intended for purchase by corporate clients and is currently not available for individual clients”.[2]

Figure 8. The featured products on 2024-09-17. Three of the six are 7-OH: the powder and two strips, one of them a 60 mg presale. The product notes under them say buyers must be businesses. [1]
The strips: one product under many names?
The claim
On 2024-10-01 a buyer in r/7_hydroxymitragynine replied to a post praising one brand's strips: “all the strips are the exact same. I’ve tried 7ohBlack, WG, omega, sdk, and KD strips and they all look and taste the exact same”. And: “There from this company PainReliefKratom.com and they are currently the only vendor mass producing 7ohstrips for wholesale”.[15] The five are 7ohBlack, Wonderland Gardens (see our Wonderland Gardens dossier), Omega Extrax, Stardust (whose Reddit account is SDK_MOD) and Kratom Distro. Five days later the same buyer posted photographs of two brands' powders and wrote “It’s so obvious y’all are getting your powder and strips from PRK”. One brand, the post says, had denied it: “They claim they’d never heard from PRK until recently”.[16]
That is one buyer's account, by taste and by eye. It was disputed in the same threads. One reply to the first comment found two of the brands different: “OE’s are citrus and a lil more flexible , 7oh blacks are mint and a little stiffer”.[15] One reply to the powder post said “They are similar, but aren't the same”;[16] another, under a third brand's powder, that high-percentage extracts “are going to look very similar and be similar strengths but the batch and manufacturers will be different”.[17]
What follows is what can be checked: what the wholesale listing says, what buyers photographed, what a lab measured, and what the brands said about their own supply.
How many said so
We read 587 threads from r/7_hydroxymitragynine and one from r/7hydromitra, April 2024 to June 2025, gathered by searches for the store's names, for strips and for the brands in the lead, through the Arctic Shift archive. A post in the local archive's 54,721 r/7_hydroxymitragynine posts names Pain Relief Kratom or PRK in its title or text 10 times, all between April 2024 and January 2025. The other three communities in that archive return none, apart from one unrelated use of the phrase.[18] Comments name it at least 26 more times. Read by hand, at least 26 comments between 2024-09-17 and 2025-04-10 say or suspect that strips sold under different brands come from one maker. Seven of them say the maker is in Thailand, and four name Pain Relief Kratom or PRK. Every count here is a floor.
The earliest is a buyer who got a free 10 mg strip from Wonderland Gardens and a 20 mg strip from Omega Extrax, and found “they come in identical black packaging, so I have to deduce that all of these strips are coming from the same supplier or two”.[19] Others describe the colour code the wholesale listing uses. Of Wonderland Gardens' free strips: “The white ones are 20mg and the black are 10mg. I think they all come from pain relief kratom.”[20] Another: “I believe there are two sources for strips. One comes in black packaging, another comes in white.”[21] A buyer who said he had a business licence and had looked into buying wrote “The lab provides 5, 10, and 20mg strips”,[22] the three strengths on the listing. By April 2025 buyers treated it as a category: “every vendor who sells the ~20mg orange minty strips that come individually in plain white packaging are getting them all from the same Thai lab”.[23]
What buyers photographed

Figure 9. A 7ohBlack order photographed by a buyer on 2024-08-19: an amber strip on a white sachet, beside the brand's black pouch. [24]

Figure 10. Three brands' strips laid side by side by a buyer on 2024-09-03, on the sachets they came in. The film and its colour look alike. A lab later measured Sub7ohmz's strip far lower than the other two (chart below). [25]

Figure 11. A Wonderland Gardens order on 2024-09-26: the slip names a free, unreleased 10 mg strip, and the sachet is plain black, the colour the wholesale listing gives its chocolate strip. [26]
In August and September 2024, buyers of three brands photographed amber strips in unprinted white sachets, and a Wonderland Gardens buyer a free strip in an unprinted black one.[24][25][26] Another Wonderland Gardens buyer was sent “2 free 20mg 7oh chocolate sublingual strips”.[17] Chocolate is one of the listing's two flavours. The brands' own marketing used printed packs: 7ohBlack's product image shows a printed black pouch and printed white sachets marked 25 mg.[27] A plain sachet inside a branded pouch is what the wholesale listing sells: the strip and its sachet, to be branded by the buyer.[13]

Figure 12. 7ohBlack's own product image for its strips, archived 2024-12-04: printed packaging, 25 mg per strip. The sachets inside the buyer photos above are unprinted. [27]

Figure 13. Two brands' 7-OH powders side by side, posted on 2024-09-30. Orange powder under both names; the bags are hand-marked with different strengths. [28]
The photographs establish a common look: an amber film and blank sachets in the two colours of the listing. They do not establish a common source. A film strip of a coloured extract may look like another maker's. The packaging matches a wholesale listing that sells exactly that packaging. No buyer posted a sachet, label or invoice that names Pain Relief Kratom.
What a lab measured
TestMyKratom, a Reddit account that sends products to outside labs and posts the results, tested one strip from each of five brands in 2024. The certificates in its posts name two laboratories, Cora Science of Austin, Texas, and Anresco Laboratories of San Francisco.

Figure 14. The certificate behind one of the strip results: a 7ohBlack strip, lot 2024-09, tested for TestMyKratom and issued 2024-09-17. [29]
| brand | claimed | measured | posted |
|---|---|---|---|
| Omega Extrax[30] | 20 mg | 20.36 mg | 2024-10-30 |
| Stardust x-OH[31] | 20 mg | 21.9 mg | 2024-09-27 |
| 7ohBlack[29] | 25 mg | 23.3 mg | 2024-09-30 |
| Hyzen[32] | 24 mg | 16.34 mg | 2024-12-17 |
| Sub7ohmz[33] | 20 mg | 6.8 mg | 2024-10-18 |

Figure 15. Our chart of TestMyKratom's five strip results posted in 2024, one strip per brand. Three land between 20 and 23.3 mg, which fits one 20 mg strip under three names. Two do not. [34]
The 7ohBlack result reads “7-OH claim: 25mg per strip” and “Lab Result: 23.3mg per strip”.[29] Stardust's reads “Lab Result: 21.9mg per strip”,[31] and Omega Extrax's “Lab Result: 20.36mg per strip”.[30] Those three fit one 20 mg strip sold at its listed strength by one brand and rounded up by two. The Omega Extrax sample photographed on its certificate is in a printed pouch marked lemon, a flavour the wholesale listing does not offer.[30] Hyzen's, “7-OH claim: 24mg per strip” and “Lab Result: 16.34mg per strip”,[32] and Sub7ohmz's, “Lab Result: 6.8mg per strip”, do not; the poster noted that “the Modus and Sub7Ohmz labs are from August”.[33] One strip per brand is a sample of one, and the tests say nothing about where any strip was made. Read with the photographs, they leave the lead's “exact same” standing for three of the five brands tested at most, and contradict it for the other two, at the dates tested.
7ohBlack's own later listing put its strips at “5 pack 7ohblack strips 29 1mg each”.[35] A brand's claimed strength moved while the photographs of its film did not.
What the brands said about their supply
Three brands answered on the record, in their own pages or under their own accounts.
One said it outright. Lucky7s, a vendor posting a sale under its own account, wrote: “Lowest price on the market for the same exact strips everyone else has”.[36]
One denied it. The owner of Hyzen, which said it ships from Louisiana (“We ship from Louisiana”), replied to a buyer who asked whether its strips were the ones other brands sold: “I have my own supplier I work with to get these strips to my specifications”.[37] Hyzen's strip is the one the lab measured at 16.34 mg against 24 mg claimed.[32]
One spoke of a supplier and did not name it. 7ohBlack's About page says “they stick with one trusted supplier even if it means paying higher prices”.[38] Its Reddit account wrote, of its powder, “As i said we do have proof from our supplier that things are safe. We do our own labs to double check the supplier is all.”[39] And of its strips: “The newest shipment of strips we got roughly a week or so ago was testing at the supplier above 25 mg”.[29] The lead's statement that 7ohBlack denied buying from PRK is the lead's; we found no 7ohBlack statement naming or denying any supplier.

Figure 16. 7ohBlack's About page, archived 2024-11-08. It speaks of one trusted supplier and does not say who or where it is. It claims no chemist of its own. [38]
Later posts show the trade in other forms. A Kratom Distro buyer in December 2024 noticed that “The package does look different than the usual prk strips”.[40] In February 2025 a poster proposing a new brand wrote of “a domestic lab that can white label tabs and 80% powder”,[41] and by May 2025 buyers compared “Thai tabs” with American ones: “Thai tabs don't taste like candy like domestic tabs”.[42] White labelling, then, was not a Thai monopoly, and buyers by then sorted products by the country they believed made them.
Did the strips expose brands that claimed their own chemists?
The question put to us was whether the strips showed up every brand that claimed to have its own, domestic chemist. In the brands' own words that we found, none of the five in the lead said a chemist of its own made its strips. 7ohBlack spoke of a supplier, Hyzen of a supplier working to its specifications, and Lucky7s of the same strips as everyone else. The claim of “in house” chemists appears in the lead's post as the lead's description of other brands' tablets, not as a quotation.[16] A brand that claimed a domestic chemist for a product it bought blank from a wholesaler would be shown up by that wholesaler's listing. We have not found such a claim to set against it. If you hold one, archived, leave it in the thread below.
What buyers report
The store sold to individuals for a few weeks in April 2024, and the record of those orders is mixed. One buyer reported “I submitted a cash on delivery order”;[43] another that the store said it would start shipping “april 17th right after songkran festival was over they’d start shipping”.[43] On 2024-04-23 a commenter wrote that “they all got dropped off to ship yesterday and people are getting tracking”.[44] Against that: one buyer wrote the order came out “never as it is advertised also had issues at customs”,[9] another “its fake i got robbed, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING OVER SEAS.”,[45] and in October a buyer said a contact had “placed an order with them and paid but never received the powder or a shipping confirmation”.[16] A buyer who wrote “There is a 2 gram sample option only for $80. I purchased it, and I will update.” was asked six times over the next eleven months what happened, and did not answer in the thread.[9]
In October 2024 a buyer who said he was starting a business wrote that the store told him “They told me that they’re well known within the industry”; the first reply was “everybody and their mom are doing the same thing. 80% of the vendors are using them”.[46] In January 2025 a buyer described an offer from another Reddit user to pool money for a bulk order: “he was promising me if I sent him 300 dollars he’d place an order on PRK for 1000 grams and send me 7”.[47] The buyer did not send it. That is a report about the other user, not about the store.
The community's moderators answered a May 2024 thread asking what had become of the store with a note: “We would rather this conversation take place over DM. Pain relief kratom is trying to be discrete right now.”[14]
Lab results
No archived page of the store shows a certificate of analysis, for the powder or for the strips.[12][13] In April 2024 a buyer posted what the store had sent him privately: “I asked them to share information so they sent me these pictures/videos of the lab & COA. They claim 75% purity.” Another reader asked “why are there chinese characters in the analysis report?”[45] Those images are no longer available, and no copy was found. Nobody in the thread said they had checked the certificate with its lab.
No test of a product sold under the store's own name was found, and this site's lab-results section holds none. The strip tests above are of other brands' products. They count as evidence about the store only if those strips came from it, and that is the question they cannot answer.
Payment
The September 2024 listings told buyers to “please confirm the purchase order do not make payment and contact customer service on whatsapp”.[1] In April 2024 one buyer was offered cash on delivery.[43] Another reported that a buyer's card statement named a different business: “someone who purchased had a statement come across as purchased from botanimelt.com based in texas”.[45]
BotaniMelt exists. Its archived 2024 home page calls it “botanimelt oral film formulation specialist”, gives “325 n st paul street suite 3100 dallas texas 75201”, and is built on the same storefront service, “powered by ueeshop”.[48] Its domain was registered on 2024-01-01, three weeks before painreliefkratom.com, through the same registrar.[49][4] An oral-film maker on the same platform, named on a buyer's statement for an order from a store that sells oral films, is a lead. It is not an established link: one buyer's report, at second hand, and no shared address, phone or name in the archived pages.
Regulatory and legal
An FDA site search for the domain on 2026-10-11 returned no warning letter or other action.[50] A CourtListener search of federal dockets for the domain and the name returned no case.[51]

Figure 17. FDA's kratom import alert as revised on 2026-08-17. Its red list names the firms whose shipments may be held without examination. Pain Relief Kratom is not on it. [52]
FDA's kratom import alert, as revised on 2026-08-17, authorises “detention without physical examination of dietary supplements and bulk dietary ingredients that are or contain mitragyna speciosa or kratom” and says “districts may detain without physical examination the specified products from the firms identified in the red list of this alert”.[52] Pain Relief Kratom is not on that red list. For 7-OH itself, the DEA published a notice of intent on 2026-07-06 to place 7-OH above a set threshold in Schedule I.[53] The store's archived 7-OH page does not mention it, or FDA's position. Its one line on law is “the use of kratom may be restricted in some areas please research and comply with local laws and regulations before use”.[12]
The 7-OH page says the compound “reduces the risk of dependency and other common adverse effects associated with conventional opioid use” and has “a safer side effect profile compared to its analogue mitragynine and conventional opioids”, and that “we promise that all our products are 100 natural additive free”.[12] The strips listing promises “experience the power of nature with immediate relief from your pain and discomfort” and calls the strip “made with 100 natural Kratom extract free from added chemicals”.[13] None of these pages cites a study.

Figure 18. Thailand's Kratom Plant Act of 2022, in the official unofficial translation: a kratom leaf includes its extract, and exporting one takes a licence under Section 10. [54]
In Thailand, where the store presents itself, kratom is governed by the Kratom Plant Act of 2022. In the official English translation, a kratom leaf “means a leaf of kratom plant and shall include boiled leaf water of kratom plant and leaf extract of kratom plant”, and “any person who wishes to import or export kratom leaves must obtain a license from a licensor for each import or export of kratom leaves”.[54] The Act also says “no person may sell kratom leaves or food under the law on food which contains kratom leaves as a raw material or component to the following persons 1 persons under eighteen years of age”.[54] Whether a 7-OH concentrate counts as a leaf extract under the Act, and whether the store holds an export licence, are not established here. No archived page claims one.
Age: no archived page asks a visitor's age.[7] Since late 2024 the store says it sells only to businesses.[2]
Still open
- Who runs it, and where. The pages name nobody. The registrar lists a registrant in Spain; the phones are Thai. A search of the archived pages for a company name, a Thai registration number or an address returned none.
- The April 2024 certificate. The images a buyer posted are gone; no copy was found in the archive or in later threads.
- Whether any named brand bought from it. No invoice, label or brand statement naming Pain Relief Kratom was found in the threads read or in the five brands' archived pages. The packaging and the lab results are consistent with a common strip for three brands and not for two.
- BotaniMelt. A buyer's report puts its name on a card statement for an order from this store. Its archived pages and its domain record were read; nothing in them names the store.
- The domestic-chemist claim. No archived brand statement claiming a domestic chemist for its strips was found.
