The two grades are never combined. Ours is what the record shows; theirs is what people who dealt with this entity say.

  • Is there an identifiable legal operator: a registered name, a jurisdiction, an address that resolves?

no legal name anywhere; two California street addresses printed in turn; a founder who speaks only through a pseudonymous Reddit account

    Evidence: [1][3][5][6][8]

  • How long has it operated, by evidence: first archive capture, domain registration, oldest attributable post?

    selling 7-OH since September 2024

    Evidence: [1][5][13]

  • Does it publish third-party certificates of analysis for what it sells?

no certificates for the first six months; later images on product pages and in Discord, not links to the laboratory's index

    Evidence: [43][17][46]

  • Where there are results, do they agree with the label, the marketing and the reported effects?

the laboratory's record of Iron Man is 76.3% 7-OH and 17,000 µg/g ethyl acetate; the shop sold it as 87.8% and admits changing the name on a manufacturer's certificate

    Evidence: [47][49][15][50]

  • Are contents and amounts stated on the product?

milligrams stated; 'not for human consumption' on tablets; by 2026 the compound is gone from the product names

    Evidence: [14][16][38][19]

  • No disease claims, no 'safe', no borrowed botanical names for synthetic compounds?

pain, anxiety and sleep claims on the About page of a 7-OH seller

    Evidence: [53][10]

  • Pattern of complaints about orders not arriving, long delays, no tracking?

5 of 82 threads open on a parcel not sent, slow, lost or opened

    Evidence: [24][9][36][37]

  • Pattern of complaints about wrong, inert, contaminated or mislabelled product?

10 threads on weak or bunk tablets, 5 on short counts; independent tests mostly near the label, two well under

    Evidence: [24][31][33][34][50]

  • Chargebacks refused, refunds unanswered, processors dropped?

PayPal and Venmo in 2024, cards accepted later; one 2026 thread on cards refused

    Evidence: [5][60]

  • Warning letters, seizures, lawsuits, attorney-general actions, platform bans?

no letter or case naming the shop; it sells 7-OH from California, which says such products are illegal to sell, and resold brands named in an FDA letter and a state suit

    Evidence: [58][59][57][56][22]

  • Is there any attempt to keep minors out?

    a one-click box, 18 and over until 2025, 21 and over by 2026

    Evidence: [5][23]

  • Does it say what the legal status of what it sells is, honestly, where it ships?

calls kratom a dietary supplement; the 2026 list of places it will not ship omits California

    Evidence: [54][55][23][56]

The long read

Who they say they are, and what the record says

Kratom Heads sells 7-OH, the concentrated kratom-derived opioid, as flavoured tablets and as powder, by mail from Southern California. Buyers call it KH, Kratom Heads, Kratomheads or Kratom Head; its own pages say Kratomheads and, from late 2024, KH. Its shop is kratomheads.com. The domain was registered on 2024-04-26 with the owner's details not shown.[1] Before that the same name was a kratom blog that read “buy kratom online from kratom heads in 2018”;[2] that registration lapsed, and the blog has nothing to do with the shop.

The terms say only that “this website is operated by kratomheads”,[3] and the shipping policy still carries a template's blank: “your company name is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping”.[4] No company name appears anywhere on the site. The address in the footer has moved. In August 2024 the shop was “kratomheads buy premium kratom online” with an address in “el cajon ca 92020”, in San Diego County;[5] by November its contact page gave an address in “costa mesa ca 92626”, in Orange County.[6] Buyers' tracking points to San Diego County: in April 2025 a buyer asked whether anyone's order was “leaving el cajon drop off point”.[7]

The man behind the shop speaks through one Reddit account. In November 2024 it wrote “i'm the founder of kh”,[8] and in September 2024 “i run kratomheads”.[9] The same account had opened, a few days before the launch, by offering cheap tablets to anyone who sent a message: “i work with some of the biggest manufacters in the market”.[10] The shop also runs a Discord server with prize draws, such as a “big kratomheads giveaway on discord today” in February 2025.[11]

What they sell

The Kratom Heads 7 OH Tablets collection in November 2024 behind an age verification box reading By clicking enter, I certify that I am over the age of 18, with an Enter button; behind it, four tiles of loose pale tablets labelled 18 MG 7 OH Tabs in strawberry, plain, blue razz and thin mint, 13 products.
Figure 1. November 2024, two months after the launch: thirteen 7-OH products, 18 mg tablets photographed loose in bags, and a one-click age box for 18 and over. [12]

7-OH tablets. The tablets went on sale in mid-September 2024. The founder said the shop had “also launched this last night at 3 am on a whim not exactly enough time to get prepared”.[13] Two months later the shop listed “kratomheads 18 mg 7 oh tabs” in several flavours, each page ending “disclaimer not for human consumption”.[14] By September 2025 the tablets collection held 23 products, among them “30mg 7 oh tabs blackouts hint of pineapple”, “80mg tabs pineapple rush” and Thai-made tablets such as “20 mg 7 oh tabs lemon heads thai tabs”.[15] A tablet page listed “ingredients kratom leaf extract 7 hydroxymitragynine other ingredients dextrose magnesium glycerate magnesium stearate artificial flavor”.[16] The founder has said he makes tablets himself: “i measure myself exactly how much 7 goes into each batch of tablets”, adding that “i used to buy tabs from vendors and always shared which tabs i pressed”.[8]

7-OH powders and strips. Powders are sold by their stated percentage, among them “7oh extract powder 87 8 ironman” and “7oh extract powder 95 6 thai manufacturer”, and there were strips to dissolve under the tongue, “7 oh sublingual strips 25mg pack of 5 strips mint thai manufacturer”.[15] A powder page warned that “this product should only be used by professionals to formulate products” and told buyers to “scroll images to see labs”.[17]

Other people's brands. Under a second vendor name, “kratomandvape”, the shop resold leaf powders, capsules and extract shots, and shelf 7-OH brands such as “hydroxie 15mg 7 oh chewable kratom tablets”.[18] It still listed Krave products, such as “krave white thai kratom powder”, in October 2026.[19]

2026. By the autumn of 2026 the product names had lost the compound. The list now reads “52mg tabs mango tango”, and adds mitragynine tablets such as “81mg mit tabs 83 3mg total alks orange creamsicle” and a tablet of another kratom alkaloid, “150mg speciociliatine 65mg mit tabs lemon”.[19] In June a buyer wrote that “now i cannot locate any 7 oh”;[20] in August another buyer explained that “they just recently changed that probably because of the heat on 7oh right now”.[21] The DEA had published its notice of intent to schedule 7-OH on 2026-07-06.[22]

The Kratom Heads home page in October 2026 behind an age box for 21 and over; the banner reads ALL ITEMS SOLD ON THIS WEBSITE MAY BE ADDICTIVE and our only site is Kratomheads.com, we have no other domain; the menu reads Kratom Powder, Kratom Capsules, Kratom Shots, Tablets; behind the box, shelf brands Soma, Wild Kratom Savage, Kanva, MIT 45 and Krave.
Figure 2. October 2026: the menu says Tablets, not 7-OH Tablets, the banner warns of addiction and of a lookalike site, and the age box now says 21. [23]

What buyers report

We searched the local Arctic Shift archive of the 7-OH and kratom subreddits for the shop's names on 2026-10-17, leaving out posts where “kratom head” means a kratom user and “KH” means something else, and found 2,530 posts by 1,046 authors from August 2024 to October 2026, 1,981 of them in r/7_hydroxymitragynine. The archive holds posts, not comments, so a mention only in a comment is not counted. We read with their comments the 82 threads that have the name in the title and 40 or more comments.[24] Counted by what the opening post describes, a thread counting once in each row it fits:

Praise is the largest group. Buyers praise speed, “the order shipped the same day exactly how they said it was going to be”,[25] and weighing: “everyone knows kh logistics are on point every gram comes in weighed perfect”.[26] One account, with a second account of a similar name, opened 119 of the 2,530 posts and 9 of the 82 threads, and wrote 364 of the 5,967 comments in those threads. It posts sale codes and once called its post a recommendation, “not on some shill shit”.[27] It wrote of its own orders that “they have delivered consistent product to me for half a year”.[28] It does not say it works for the shop, and the founder wrote in October 2024 that “we have never paid any person for a review never hired any affiliate”.[29] A March 2025 thread complained that “you can't say anything remotely critical about kh without their fanboys swarming your post”.[30]

Weak tablets. In January 2025 a buyer who took three 30 mg Blackouts wrote “i can say confidently that in those 3 tabs there was probably not more than 20 25mg of 7oh”.[31] In April 2026 a buyer of 300 tablets wrote “they def aren't real” and “i woke up very sick”.[32]

Short counts. In August 2025 a buyer short five tablets wrote “this is the 4th time it has happened”.[33] In September a buyer who ordered tablets and powder wrote “all i received was the powder”, and that the owner later said he “reviewed the security footage from my order and that my order was packed in its entirety”.[34] The founder's account answered another such thread: “not a single person who has been shorted anything has not received some form of compensation”.[35]

Parcels. The first complaint came two weeks after the launch: “i ordered from them last week and paid for expediting shipping waited a week and nothing no receipt no tracking number”. The founder answered in the same thread that the buyer had been refunded.[9] In May 2025 a buyer received an opened pack and wrote “i watched the guy walk it up the driveway so i know it was an internal theft”.[36] In October 2025 another complained that “their processing time has been several days from ordering”.[37] In February 2025 a first order arrived with “horrible packaging no labels broken tabs”.[38]

Disputes. In February 2025 a buyer whose order had not arrived said the owner “messaged me privately through reddit asked me to take the post down” with an offer of free product. The founder's reply in the thread was “you are lying sorry you asked me for free tabs and free powder after your refund”.[39]

Harm. In December 2024 a buyer who took two 18 mg Blue Razz tablets wrote “the tabs caused my heart to race and i was unable to breathe”.[40] A buyer of the Iron Man powder wrote “a couple scoops of ironman would make me sick on 3 separate occasions”.[41] 7-OH is an opioid, and these are one person's accounts each.

Lookalike. In October 2026 a buyer found a second storefront, purekratomheads, where “both sites share a similar look and have identical prices photos descriptions”; a reply called it a scam: “purekratomheads is definitely a scam”.[42] The shop's banner by then read “our only site is kratomheads com we have no other domain”.[23]

Lab results

For its first six months the shop published no certificates. In March 2025 a buyer posted the shop's Discord reply to a request for them and noted “the fact that tmk had labs for kh before kh did”.[43] TestMyKratom is a buyer-funded testing service. In November 2024 a buyer posted a Murray Brown certificate for the 18 mg strawberry tablet; one reply was “exactly 18 0 hmmm”, and the founder wrote that he had commissioned it: “was hoping to receive that coa from murray brown today”.[44] The same week an account posted a solvent result and wrote “it's way over the limit on methanol”. The founder replied that “the account that posted this is stardust kratom”, a rival seller, and “i have a murray brown coa dated yesterday that tells a totally different story”.[45] We did not find either document. From June 2025 the shop posted certificates from Infinite Chemical Analysis Labs for its tablets,[46] as images on its product pages.[17]

Iron Man (June–July 2025). This is the dispute buyers cite most, and part of it can be checked against the laboratory's own index.

What we saw: Infinite Chemical Analysis Labs keeps its certificates in an online index, TagLeaf. A certificate there titled “kh 7oh extract iron concentrate”, for “client kh matrix concentrate”, “produced jun 06 2025”, reports “7 oh mitragynine 76 3”, that is 76.3% 7-OH. Its solvent panel reports “ethyl acetate 17000”, in µg/g, and gives no pass or fail. Its note on the solvent test reads “compliance requirements for this test are taken from ca cannabis hemp based on submission type regulations”.[47] The sample photographed on the certificate is a black bag with a handwritten label, “KH 7OH Powder Iron”. In September 2025 the shop listed the powder as “7oh extract powder 87 8 ironman”, 87.8%.[15]

An infiniteCAL certificate of analysis on the TagLeaf LIMS site, produced Jun 06, 2025: KH 7OH Extract Iron (Concentrate), Client: KH; sample ID ICC-250603-32-001; a photo of a black bag hand-labelled KH 7OH Powder Iron; 7-OH-Mitragynine 76.3 %, Mitragynine 1.01 %, Sum of Kratom Alkaloids 77.3 %; a QR code and the lab director's signature.
Figure 3. The laboratory's own record of the Iron Man powder: client KH, 76.3% 7-OH. Buyers say the copy the shop gave out read 88.9%. [47]

The residual-solvent table of the same certificate: rows for acetonitrile, benzene, butane, chloroform, ethanol, ethyl acetate, ethylene oxide and others; every row ND or below the limit of quantitation except ethyl acetate, 17000 µg/g; the last column reads N/A on every row.
Figure 4. The same record's solvent panel: ethyl acetate at 17,000 µg/g, no pass or fail given. Buyers say the shop's copy read 170. [47]

What buyers report: on 2025-07-02 a buyer wrote that “the first set of labs they dropped had the qr code that brings you to infinitecal website showing 76 3 7oh”, and that “kh then realized they fkd up and removed the qr code and blacked out the sample id”.[48] Three days later another buyer posted the TagLeaf link beside an image of the copy the shop had handed out and wrote “they made the 17000 ppm ethyl acetate into 170 ppm and made this 76 into 88”. The same buyer said “i have a screenshot of the emails sent to infinical labs where they say that what kh put up is not the real report”.[41] That image and those emails are no longer public, so we could not compare the shop's copy with the laboratory's ourselves. One defender wrote “this has been debunked many times”; a buyer who asked about it wrote “i just got kicked out of kh discord for asking about the lab test”.[41]

What the shop said: in an email a buyer posted on 2025-07-03, the shop called the certificate the manufacturer's and said that “the iron powder is from the same manufacturer that makes essentially all the powder for oe and raw”. It explained that manufacturers let buyers of a large lot put their own name on the certificate: “they ask the lab to update the picture and the name which in the case of the iron man we did”. It said a second laboratory, SD PharmLabs, found the powder within 1.5% of the manufacturer's figure, and that the ethyl acetate was harmless at the amounts taken, though “it might fail a solvent test based on cannabis standards”. It promised that “going forward we will be 100 more transparent about solvents”.[49] The same email said “we do not sell thai powders and never have”;[49] two months later the shop listed a “7oh extract powder 95 6 thai manufacturer”, and its sublingual strips had been listed from a “mint thai manufacturer” since 2024.[15]

The laboratory's record, as published, names KH as the client. The shop's own account is that it had that name and photo put on a manufacturer's certificate. Either way, the record in the laboratory's index reports 76.3% 7-OH, and the shop sold the powder as 87.8%.

Independent tests. TestMyKratom's page for the shop lists fourteen products, most within 10% of the label: “kh mango tango tablets backed up their 7 oh claim completely each tablet contained 53 81mg”. Two were well under: “kh blue razz tablets contained 13 17mg of 7 hydroxy which was about 27 weaker than its 18mg claim”, and “kratom heads mint sublingual strips contained 15 42mg of 7 hydroxy which was about 38 weaker than its 25mg claim”. One was well over: “kh 30mg pineapple blackout tablets contained 37 51mg of 7 hydroxy which was about 25 stronger than its 30mg claim”.[50] TestMyKratom's buttons to buy the products it grades are affiliate links: “buying from our affiliate links helps us fund more tests”.[51] A buyer read 6 mg of pseudoindoxyl, a compound 7-OH rearranges into, off the shop's certificate for the 80 mg Pineapple Rush tablet: “67 mg 7oh and 6 mg pseudo”.[52]

TestMyKratom's Kratom Heads page: fourteen product buttons, then the 20mg Lemon Heads Thai tablet in a clear bag hand-labelled 20mg thai Lemon heads, grade A, 20.7 mg of 7-OH, accuracy 100%, batch 2025-07, and a Buy Product button.
Figure 5. TestMyKratom's page for the shop in June 2026: fourteen products tested, most near the label. Its Buy Product buttons are affiliate links. [50]

This site's lab-results section holds no test of a Kratom Heads product.

Regulatory and legal

The shop's About page says “welcome to kratomheads your trusted destination for premium kratom products”, and promises that “kratom can help alleviate pain without the side effects commonly associated with over the counter medications” and that “it's a natural way to manage anxiety without relying on harsh pharmaceuticals”.[53] Its FDA page says “kratom is a botanical substance derived from the mitragyna speciosa plant and is classified as a dietary supplement in the united states”.[54] The FDA's position is that “7 oh is not lawful in dietary supplements”.[55]

The age check was a one-click box: “i certify that i am over the age of 18” in 2024,[5] “i certify that i am over the age of 21” by 2026. The 2026 home page also says “all items sold on this website may be addictive”, and lists places where “kratom is banned in the following areas and we do not ship to”;[23] the list names two California cities but not the state. California's Department of Public Health said in May 2026 that “7 oh and kratom derived products are illegal to manufacture or sell for consumption in california”, announcing a suit against “ashlynn marketing group inc doing business as krave krave kratom and or krave botanicals”.[56] Kratom Heads sells from San Diego County and still listed Krave products in October 2026.[19]

In July 2025 the FDA announced seven warning letters to 7-OH sellers. One went to “hydroxie llc”,[57] whose tablets Kratom Heads had resold.[18] A search of FDA warning letters for Kratom Heads and kratomheads on 2026-10-17 found none,[58] and a federal docket search for the names returned nothing.[59]

Still open

Who owns Kratom Heads. The site names no company, and we found no business registration under its names. The founder speaks only through a pseudonymous account.

Who submitted the Iron Man sample. The laboratory's record names KH as client. The shop says the record was renamed for it at a manufacturer's request. The laboratory's own answer is known only from emails buyers describe.

What the shop's copy of the certificate said. Two buyers describe it as 88.9% with 170 µg/g of ethyl acetate. We did not see it.

Whether payment has changed. The 2024 footer showed “paypal venmo”,[5] and in July 2026 a buyer wrote that “they don't accept literally any card”.[60] One thread is not a pattern.
