The long read

Who they say they are, and what the record says

Ritually Pure sells kratom-alkaloid tablets, shots and powders from rituallypure.com, and on Reddit, where most of its customers and critics talk about it, it is RP. It describes itself in large terms. In June 2025 its site said: “as we have been an advanced chemical synthesis facility for the past 13 years”.[1] In 2026 it advertises a “$19M vertically-integrated” facility.[2] The company it trades as is smaller on paper.

Ritually Pure LLC is a New York limited liability company, filed on 2020-08-12 in Albany County. Its address in the state's register is that of a registered-agent service, not an office, and the register names no members.[3] The domain rituallypure.com was registered the day before, on 2020-08-11, with the registrant's details withheld.[4]

For its first four years the domain was not a shop. Its first readable archive copy, from 2022-03-10, is a testing laboratory: “Ritually Pure Laboratories offers Ultra-trace analysis of Persistent Organic Pollutants”, with petroleum and trace-organics testing beside it.[5] The page was the same in July 2024.[6][7] One of that laboratory's certificates survives in the archive: an HHC distillate tested in December 2021 for a client in Denver, signed off as “Ritually Pure Labs | lab@RituallyPure.com”, under a header giving an address on Long Road, Grand Island, New York.[8]

The rituallypure.com home page in March 2022: a gold Ritually Pure logo, menu items Home, Our Laboratory, Analytical Services and Contact, a panel headed What we offer describing laboratory testing for trace organics, pesticides, PCBs, and oil and gas, and a list of popular tests such as H/C ratio by GC-AED and metals in oil.
Figure 1. rituallypure.com on 2022-03-10, its first readable capture: an analytical laboratory, not a shop. It looked like this until July 2024. [5]

The top of a certificate of analysis, sample 20211211-0100, headed Ritually Pure Labs, 2801C Long Road, Grand Island, NY, 14072, with the Ritually Pure logo: a rare-cannabinoid distillate for Herbal Pharm Rx of Denver, reported December 12, 2021, with HHC cannabinoids at 96 per cent and every other cannabinoid not detected or not tested.
Figure 2. A Ritually Pure Labs certificate from December 2021, when the name belonged to a testing lab. The address in its header is in Grand Island, New York. Signature cropped. [8]

The storefront replaced the laboratory between July and December 2024. The first capture of the new site, on 2024-12-23, promises water-based extraction and “UV Processing”: “advanced UV technology ensures purity without harsh solvents”.[9][7]

Addresses. The site has printed several. In October 2025 a poster in r/mgm15 looked up the one then on it: “Thats what google shows as being at 610 Main St, Niagara Falls, NY, the address listed at RPs website”, a biryani restaurant.[10] From September 2026 the site gives 610 Maple Lane, Lewiston, with a ZIP code of four digits: “610 Maple Lane, Lewiston, NY, 0420”.[11] Its laboratory certificates of September 2026 give a third, in Buffalo: “3380 Sheridan Dr, #123”.[12] Niagara Falls, Lewiston, Grand Island and Buffalo are all within twenty miles of each other.

Sandstone Springs. In January 2025, when buyers were arguing over who stood behind the brand, one posted the shipping notice for an RP order, whose subject line names the sender as Sandstone Springs, LLC (pictured), under the heading “For those trying to say ritually isn’t sandstone springs llc well here you go”.[13] New York's register holds four Sandstone Springs companies, all in Niagara County: Holdings (2012), Buffalo and plain Sandstone Springs LLC (2013), and Sandstone Springs Labs LLC (2017), at 111 24th Street, Niagara Falls.[14] The site's own code points the same way. In June 2025 its product pictures, its certificate images and its facility photographs were all loaded from another domain: the pet product's picture, for instance, was sandstonesprings.com/images/fur.png.[1]

A phone screenshot of an email headed Your order from Sandstone Springs, LLC. is shipping, ordered from goshippo.com, sent by Sandstone Sp... to me.
Figure 3. A buyer's shipping notice for a Ritually Pure order, posted on 2025-01-24: the sender is Sandstone Springs, LLC. [13]

On 2023-08-29 a company named in the application as “Sandstone Springs”, a New York LLC at 3625 Highland Ave, Niagara Falls, applied to register 7OHM as a trademark for “Mitragyna speciosa, namely, kratom, for use as a dietary ingredient in dietary supplements”. The application is signed: “SIGNATORY'S NAME john bordynuik SIGNATORY'S POSITION CEO”.[15] The USPTO issued an office action on 2025-10-01 and the application was abandoned on 2026-01-02.[16]

John Bordynuik is the name posters attach to RP. A poster who visited its laboratory in January 2025 wrote “I had a chance to speak with John from Ritually Pure tonight”,[17] and in May another announced that “our good friend John at RP is back in the game this time with mgm tabs”.[18] On 2025-01-26 a poster put the surname to it under the heading “John William Bordynuik’s Latest Scam: From Plastic2Oil to “Ritually Pure””.[19] The public record on Bordynuik is in the filings of JBI, Inc., later Plastic2Oil, also of Niagara Falls. JBI's annual report for 2012 says that “on January 4, 2012 the Securities and Exchange Commission filed a civil complaint in federal court in Massachusetts against us”, over the value of media credits on its balance sheet, and that under a settlement the company and Bordynuik, its former chief executive, “would pay fines of $150,000 and $110,000, respectively”.[20] The amended report adds that the court “approved the settlement of the SEC enforcement action against the Company and John Bordynuik”.[21]

No filing we read names Bordynuik as an owner or officer of Ritually Pure LLC, whose register entry names nobody. What the documents show is narrower: a kratom trademark signed by him as chief executive of a Sandstone Springs company, a Sandstone Springs company shipping RP's orders, and RP's site loading its pictures from a Sandstone Springs domain. A full-text search of EDGAR for Ritually Pure returns no filing.[22]

The RP drama, in order

The two figures below set out the record by date, from the SEC case in 2012 to the products launched this week. Orange is a Reddit dispute, indigo a product, green a laboratory result, amber a legal record and pink a company record; each card names its source, and the paragraphs after them give every episode with its links. The method behind the Reddit counts is under What buyers report.

A vertical timeline, part 1 of 2, from January 2012 to March 2025, each event a card with a date, a coloured kind label and a source. Legal: the SEC sues JBI Inc.; Sandstone Springs applies for the 7OHM kratom trademark. Company records: Sandstone Springs Holdings LLC formed; Ritually Pure LLC filed; rituallypure.com as Ritually Pure Laboratories; a shipping email naming Sandstone Springs, LLC. Lab: a Ritually Pure Labs certificate in 2021; TestMyKratom grading three products F in March 2025. Product: the first Reddit post, the new storefront, sample packs. Reddit drama, January to March 2025: the Ritually Pure SCAM thread, a promoter's messages called jokes, a lab tour and affiliate screenshots, posters naming John Bordynuik, a buyer's dim effect, a Discord ban over 11%?, and RP's answer that the methanol is found in grapes.
Figure 4. The record in order, part 1: before the shop, and the launch. Colour and label give the kind of event; every card names its source, and each is cited in the text below. [23]

The launch, January 2025. The first Reddit post naming the brand, in May 2024, is a question with a gallery: “Anyone try this brand? RITUALLY PURE”.[24] Eight months later the 7-OH subreddits found it all at once. On 2025-01-18 a buyer asked whether it was legit: “I can’t find ANY info about them online other than a few Reddit comments”.[25] On 2025-01-22 a poster who “Spent 30 min on the phone with him” relayed the owner's pitch of 25 mg tablets and cheap sample packs: “He wants to supply us all at cheap prices and keep driving those prices down even more”.[26] The next day u/SouthsideMollys explained “How ritually pure makes their pure 7Oh without solvents”.[27]

Shills, and jokes, 2025-01-24. u/Confident-Leader5376 opened “Ritually Pure SCAM” with “u/southsidemollys u/mnlove23 are scamming everyone”.[28] u/Mobile_Government636 posted messages headed “Southside just admitted he is RP and it's a scam”, deleted the post within minutes, and u/Iron-Rider reposted it.[29][30] u/mnlove23 answered: “This is all cap, ritually pure is in Niagara Falls New York and is a lab”.[30] SouthsideMollys said the messages were jokes and wrote “Don’t let my dumb decisions reflect badly on RP”.[31] The same night he announced that “Ritually Pure will not be sending out anymore samples”.[32]

Who is behind it, 2025-01-25 and 26. u/optiglitch, after the phone call with “John from Ritually Pure”, posted pictures of the laboratory and the owner's account of testing: the tablets had gone to two outside laboratories (“He sent to accuscience and chemical analytica”), and “He also said they test in their own hplc-dad for potency”.[17] u/throaway7oh posted Discord screenshots of an affiliate scheme: “The “affiliate program” would explain why so many have suddenly started defending this random startup”.[33] u/HistorianDifferent40 posted emails from people he says worked for the owner, under the title “They're from a previous scam and are over 5 years old”. He wrote that “They gave me permission to post our correspondence”, and quoted them: “He also has a history of doctoring lab results so believe nothing you see”.[34] These are one poster's account of unnamed correspondents; we found nothing that tests them. The next day u/leeguy911 posted the Bordynuik and SEC history.[19] u/optiglitch then posted the company's emailed reply under the title “RP claims they will reship new product to compensate unhappy customers”; the images are no longer on Reddit.[35] A moderator posted “Just a reminder shilling is not allowed on this sub”,[36] and another member asked for more: “MODS PLEASE BAN RITUALLY PURE POSTS”.[37]

The first buyers' reports, January to March 2025. u/temporal_gay took two of the 25 mg tablets, then five: “5 gave me a little something dim”, adding that “for some reason they package says 2 percent”.[38] A second sample pack left u/jj4982 at “I’d say at most maybe 10mg”.[39] The other side posted too: “RituallyPure? Smear campaign?”[40] and, on 2025-03-04, “Ritually Pure 25mg are the real deal”.[41] Between those, u/onlyusemebladefan reported asking one question in RP's Discord after a low result: “I was banned from their server and all I said was: “11%?””[42]

Methanol, March 2025. TestMyKratom published its results on 2025-03-08 (see Lab results): three products graded F, the 25 mg tablet for “Residual Solvent: Methanol”.[43] In January u/optiglitch had already written that “The new ritually pure tablets have a grape smell”, wondering about a solvent.[44] The company's answer came on its Discord and was posted the same day under the heading “Owner of RP claims the 3700/g of methanol is from” the grape flavouring.[45]

A Discord message from the account Ritually Pure, at 10:49 PM: It is solventless. They show methanol but that is found in grapes. It's obvious as the shots should show the same solvents then. Same extract used in both. Flavors often have solvents, but food compounds. Methanol and ethyl acetate are in grapes. The shots should have reported solvents as same extract is used.
Figure 5. Ritually Pure's Discord account on the methanol result, as u/optiglitch posted it on 2025-03-08. [45]

A vertical timeline, part 2 of 2, from May 2025 to October 2026. Product: the move from 7-OH to MGM tablets, MGM tablets for thousands of stores, MIT+ announced, A Complete Replacement Is Ready, MGM-15 certificates relabelled MIT+ Tablet COAs, Lumen and BodySlam on sale. Reddit drama: Reddit askers barred from buying, MGM for pets, Caught Faking Labs, a Narcan report, the Proprietary Kratom Extract label, the listed address shown as a restaurant, substitution then a ban, methanol again, and moderators calling the vendor identified as a scammer. Lab: RP's own certificates naming MGM-15, kanna tablets with no kanna alkaloids found, TestMyKratom's MGM tablets at 67 to 79 per cent and a shot with none, Cora Science's Smacks result. Legal: the DEA schedules MGM-15 and gives notice on 7-OH.
Figure 6. The record in order, part 2: MGM-15, the ban, and the rename. [23]

MGM-15, May 2025. RP moved from 7-OH to tablets it called MGM. Its site now said “7 OH mitragynine is obsolete”.[1] A post headed “Worth posting here for anyone consider RP (please don't)” reopened the January arguments in r/mgm15.[46] When u/jayremey questioned the company, he got the email he posted as “RP response after I questioned his credibility respectfully I might add”: people who contacted the company from Reddit would not be allowed to buy, and the company had an 11.2 million dollar contract to supply stores.[47] A week later he photographed what he took to be that contract in practice: “10 dollar 3 packs from a small smoke shop”.[48] Another poster asked “Could RP and PS be the same people?”, about a second vendor that had stopped shipping; the post says it is a guess, and nothing we read supports it.[49]

A phone screenshot of an email from Ritually Pure Sales: a sentence about scams with a name blacked out, then Every person that contacts me from reddit with this nonsense isn't allowed to buy from us in the future. Weve tested all 7oh brands. They all are loaded with solvents and toxic byproducts. Best of luck to you. As we arent a scam we will not accept your money or your order. We have an 11.2 million $ contract to supply stores. Started in Texas this week. Buy from them.
Figure 7. The email u/jayremey posted on 2025-05-11 after questioning the company. A first name is blacked out by us. [47]

MGM for pets, June 2025. On 2025-06-14 two threads reported a listing called Fur Babies Tabs: “RP is now selling mgm for animals”,[50] and “Who can we report this guy to?”[51] The site's code five days later has the listing's text, “Proprietary formulation with MGM. 100 tablets (by weight) so can vary. Crush up tabs in food”, under a new name and category: “name ultra low dose category low dose”.[1] A poster asked the next day “So is this what the "pet meds" was changed too”.[52] The text is gone from the next archived copy of the code, of 2025-07-15.[53]

A phone screenshot of a Ritually Pure listing: a photograph of grey speckled tablets scored with a cross, the category Pet Products, the name Fur Babies Tabs, and the text Proprietary formulation with MGM. 100 tablets (by weight) so can vary. Crush up tabs in food until we break out for felines and canines.
Figure 8. The pet listing as a buyer screenshotted it on 2025-06-14. Five days later the same text was listed as Ultra Low Dose. [51]

“Caught faking labs”, June 2025. u/OG-Diarrhea reposted the 2025 solvent certificate under the title “1 of the 2 MGM Vendors Was Caught Faking Labs in the Past”: “RP claimed they had 0 solvents across the board”.[54] A week later u/Majestic-Comment9092 posted links to a collected file titled “RP & John investigation. Save it while you can!”[55] On 2025-06-28 u/FacesInTh3cLouDz posted an update in r/7_hydroxymitragynine saying that a poster who had needed Narcan had not taken 7-OH: “OP admitted to me in DMs that he was actually taking tabs sold to him by RITUALLY PURE”.[56] The messages were not posted, and nothing else we found connects that emergency to a product.

The label, the address and the service, September to November 2025. u/bbpazuzu: “They label it as a "Proprietary Kratom Extract" when it is a synthetically-analgous research chemical”.[57] In October came the restaurant at the listed address.[10] On 2025-11-01 u/Ok_Wheel7960 described an order substituted without notice: “They swapped out the tablets I bought for something else because, according to them, they were” out of stock; and after complaining, “Their response? They banned my account”. The poster followed with the emails.[58]

Kanna, and methanol again, March to June 2026. In r/Kanna a laboratory account posted a certificate for RP's kanna tablets: “The results returned ND (Not Detected) for Sceletium tortuosum alkaloids”. Commenters said the laboratory is tied to a company that sells kanna; one wrote “Definitely creates a conflict of interest”.[59] In May u/OGBaronthon read the certificate RP published for its MGM powder: “RP has over 24K listed for their sample on their labs page”, meaning methanol in parts per million.[60] An older member replied there that “They even got banned from this subreddit”.[60] A June post took apart the company's defence, which it summarised as “Methanol is naturally in the leaf from sunlight drying.”[61] The site now says of its powder: “This methanol does not come from our process”; “it originates in the sun-dried kratom plant itself”.[2] The same spring had defenders: “Why is there so much Ritually Pure hate?” asked u/yaka954, for whom “my experience has been the complete opposite”.[62]

The ban and the new names, August to October 2026. The DEA placed MGM-15 in Schedule I from 2026-08-26.[63] An affiliate post the same day announced “MIT+ Drops Next Week: 4x Stronger, Cleaner, and Zero Residual Solvents”.[64] When another vendor's founder promised a molecule of his own, a commenter compared him to “RP & their BS” claim: “I’m making 7oh with nothing but water”.[65] On 2026-09-09 a buyer posted RP's banner, headed “A Complete Replacement Is Ready”, and asked “Anybody know what ritually pure is cooking up!?”[66][11] Ten days later a referral post promised a product: “They say it hits all the same receptors as Emily and is 1.8x stronger”, Emily being the subreddits' nickname for MGM-15.[67] Readers of the October MIT+ posts noticed the rename: “It used to say EmG-M and they just changed it to MIT+ for whatever reason”, and “Yeah, the shot used to be Em, now it says Mit+”.[68] On 2026-10-12 a poster asked about Lumen and BodySlam: “It sold out fast same with the Bodyslam drink thingy?” The subreddit's moderator account answered that the vendor “has been identified as a scammer and/or is not allowed in our communities”.[69]

A phone screenshot of rituallypure.com: A Complete Replacement Is Ready. Zero banned alkaloids. Equal or better performance. Due to the recent federal action banning certain Kratom alkaloids, we have removed affected products from our store. However, our team has formulated a fully compliant replacement blend that contains no banned Kratom alkaloids whatsoever. A box: Available within one week.

What they sell

7-OH, January to spring 2025. Chillpops tablets and a shot, sold as 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-OH): “Ingredients: All natural ingredients. No dyes. Dextrose, Cellulose, 25mg 7-hydroxymitragynine”.[70] The site explained how it was made: “we use a proprietary UV conversion process that transforms mitragynine into its more potent form, 7-OHM, using only the power of light”.[70] TestMyKratom noted that the tablets' “packaging clearly says '32mg 7-OH' on them” while the site sold them as 25 mg.[71]

MGM, May 2025 to August 2026. Tablets of 12 and 16 mg in fruit flavours, a 40 mg chocolate shot and later a powder. The site called the compound MGM and described it as “our MGM is water white crystals crashed out of an aqueous solution”, “2.5x potent as 7-OH mitragynine” with effects lasting ten hours, and the tablet as “minimum 12mg MGM” equal to “30mg 7-OH”: the code reads “minimum 12mg mgm 30mg 7 oh”.[1] It announced that “our revolutionary MGM tablets will be available in thousands of stores nationwide”.[1] Its own certificates of January 2026 name the samples MGM-15, and the compound found is dihydro-7-hydroxymitragynine (MGM-15), a semi-synthetic opioid made from a kratom alkaloid.[72] Our deep dive on what replaced 7-OH explains it.

Other lines. Natural MIT tablets, “all natural 70mg MIT with 2 minor alkaloids” (mitragynine),[1] and from July 2025 kanna tablets, “99% alkaloids in tablet. All minors”,[53] with kava and blue lotus tablets later.[11]

MIT+, from August 2026. After the federal order the site sells MIT+: chewable tablets, shots, a liquid and a CrystalForm powder. “MIT+ is 4x more potent than 7-OH-mitragynine with effects lasting up to 12 hours”, and the tablet is 12 mg of MIT+ equal to 30 mg of 7-OH: “12mg mit per tablet 30mg 7 oh”, the same equivalence the MGM tablets carried.[11] Its description is the June 2025 MGM page with one word changed: “our MIT+ is water white crystals crashed out of an aqueous solution”.[11] Its certificate archive is headed “MIT+ Tablet COAs”: “Certificates of Analysis for MIT+ tablets shipped” before April 21, 2026. The certificates on that page are the January ones whose samples are named MGM-15, and the page multiplies each tablet's weight by the MGM-15 percentage and calls the product MIT+ content: “MIT+ Content per Tablet: 450mg × 2.667%”.[2][73][72] Our reading of those documents is that the MIT+ tablets are the MGM-15 tablets under another name. The company has not said so, and has not said what MIT+ is. Its powder page warns against powder coloured “beige, tan, or off-white”, which it calls “the visible signature of MIT+ synthesized from 7-OH, as other processors do”: a description of how MGM-15 is made.[2]

Two parts of an Infinite Chemical Analysis Labs certificate produced January 15, 2026: the header, Sample MGM-15 (Cotton Candy) (Edible Solid), Client Ritually Pure, Batch Pass; and the Kava/Kratom table from page 2, in which mitragynine, 7-OH-mitragynine and mitragynine pseudoindoxyl are ND and 15,16-Dihydro-7(OH)-Mitragynine is 2.667 per cent.
Figure 10. Ritually Pure's own certificate for a Cotton Candy tablet, January 2026: the sample is named MGM-15, and the one compound found is dihydro-7-OH-mitragynine. Page 1 header above page 2's table. [72]

The rituallypure.com archive page in October 2026, headed MIT+ Tablet COAs: Certificates of Analysis for MIT+ tablets shipped before April 21, 2026. These results reflect the prior production batch. Below, a table of flavours with thumbnails of infiniteCAL certificate pages, and for Blue Raspberry the line MIT+ Content per Tablet: 470mg × 3.013% = 14.16 mg.
Figure 11. The same certificates in October 2026, filed under MIT+. The page multiplies the tablet weight by the MGM-15 percentage and calls the result MIT+ content. [73]

Lumen, October 2026. The home page on 2026-10-16 opens on “Introducing Lumen”: “Lumen is our proprietary extract, formulated to deliver potency equivalent to synthetic kratom alkaloids”.[2][74] The shop listings that day, photographed below, sell it as tablets of 22 mg of a proprietary blend, a figure set “to be equivalent to legacy kratom alkaloids” now banned or being banned, with dextrose and cellulose, and a certificate “coming this week”. They do not name the active ingredient.[75] The first Reddit posts about it are referral posts: “Ritually pure has dropped a replacement for legacy (banned) alks that's legal in all 50 states”. A reader answered “There's no labs and they don't say what it is”, and another “Good ol' 22 mg proprietary blend, lol”.[76] On the other thread one wrote “I'm not ingesting anything that won't disclose what it is”, and the poster replied “I've been a customer for almost a year now and I never been scammed or sold bad products”.[77]

The rituallypure.com home page on 2026-10-16: a green banner reading A compliant blend is available now!, a menu with Shop, Orders, Make $, Process, COA, Dosing, Wholesale and Crypto, and over a photograph of glass laboratory apparatus the headline Introducing Lumen, Clean by Design, with the text Lumen is our proprietary extract, formulated to deliver potency equivalent to synthetic kratom alkaloids.

Three product cards from the rituallypure.com shop on 2026-10-16. MIT+ Liquid 225mg: MIT+ in liquid form, 225mg alkaloid, 36-salt formula with potentiators, 22.5ml with dosing syringe, compliant in all Kratom-legal states including FL. Lumen 44g (approx 100 Tablets) and Lumen 22g (approx 50 Tablets): Lumen proprietary blend tablets, 22mg proprietary blend per tablet, set at 22mg to be equivalent to legacy kratom alkaloids that are now banned or being banned; Dextrose, Cellulose; COA coming this week confirming NO recently banned alkaloids.
Figure 13. The shop on 2026-10-16, photographed live: the Lumen listings say what the tablets weigh and what they replace, and name no active ingredient. Every card links a certificate; for Lumen there was none. [75]

The name is not unique: in May 2025 another vendor sold a 7-OH powder called Lumen in the same subreddits. Nothing connects the two.

BodySlam, October 2026. A liquid in a 22.5 ml bottle with a dosing syringe, sold as 225 mg of “alkaloid” in a formula of 36 salts with “potentiators”, for states that ban kratom; the listing photographed on 2026-10-16 says it contains none of the recently banned alkaloids. In September the site's crypto price list called it “Smacks Hard 225mg”.[2] Its certificate page[78] explains the change of name: “Was to be called Smacks but due to kratom association political payoffs and a negative false information campaign on SMA-X, we are sending in for a new COA”. It adds “This product is compliant in all states. NONE of our products contain any of the recently banned kratom alkaloids”, and that the laboratories' standards mean “our full spectrum cannot, and will not properly identify our new alkaloid. We will not be releasing any structure or research information until it is public and all bans are finalized.”[2]

A shop card on 2026-10-16 with a Coming Soon image: BodySlam 225mg. After 3 years of R&D in Kratom research, BodySlam is here. A 225mg alkaloid, 36-salt formula with potentiators. Liquid form only, Tutti Frutti, 22.5ml with dosing syringe. Compliant in all states. NONE of our products contain any of the recently banned kratom alkaloids. Must be refrigerated. Specifically formulated for states with Kratom bans to be fully compliant.

The rituallypure.com certificate page: BodySlam Liquid Shot Certificate of Analysis. (Was to be called Smacks but due to kratom association political payoffs and a negative false information campaign on SMA-X, we are sending in for a new COA). This product is compliant in all states. The page says the labs cannot properly identify our new alkaloid. Key Results: All Mitragyna alkaloids <LOQ, Residual Solvents ALL PASS, Heavy Metals ALL PASS, Density 1.004 g/mL.
Figure 15. The certificate page for BodySlam, archived 2026-10-16. Its key result is what the liquid does not contain. [78]

What Lumen and BodySlam contain, nobody outside the company has said. A referral post in September said the coming product “hits all the same receptors” as MGM-15;[67] whether that was Lumen, the post does not say.

What buyers report

We searched the local Arctic Shift archive of 95 subreddits on 2026-10-16 for Ritually Pure in its spellings, and for RP as a word in nineteen kratom, 7-OH, MGM-15 and kanna subreddits, and removed the false matches by hand (RP is also an oxycodone imprint). 467 posts name the company between 2024-05-07 and 2026-10-16, with 12,516 comments under them: 180 in r/mgm15, 147 in r/7_hydroxymitragynine, 35 in r/7hydromitra, 30 in r/MGM_Fifteen, 21 in r/7OH, 17 in r/7ohm, 11 in r/Kanna, the rest in ten smaller subreddits. January 2025 alone has 98; May to July 2025 has 152; no month since has more than 26. We read 66 threads with their comments.[23]

The table counts posts by keyword. It is a search, not a reading: a hand check of 30 posts agreed with it on 20.

Year Posts Critical Favourable Question or neutral Referral or promotion
2024 1 0 0 1 0
2025 377 83 97 176 21
2026 89 7 16 42 24

2025 is the year of the disputes set out above. In 2026 there are fewer posts, a quarter of them carry referral codes, and the critical ones that remain carry documents. The site pays for referrals: “Refer once, earn forever: collect 5% on every order your referrals ever place, for life”.[2]

Favourable posts are real and not all promotion. “MGM works to get off 7oh!!” described a taper from 7-OH,[79] “These tabs here completely relieved my WD!!” another,[80] and a February 2026 vendor ranking put “RP (best price per mg)” third.[81] The complaints are about content (weak tablets, solvents), about service (a substituted order, bans for asking questions) and about the owner's past; we found few about parcels that did not arrive, but we did not count them.

Lab results

What the company has published. In January 2025 the owner told a buyer that tablets had gone to Accuscience and Chemical Analytica.[17] We found no result from either laboratory on the site, in its archived copies or on Reddit. In June 2025 the site showed certificate images loaded from sandstonesprings.com and an internal result: “our latest results show 99.13% pure MGM at 16mg per tablet with zero detectable solvents”.[1] In 2026 it publishes certificates from two commercial laboratories:

  • Infinite Chemical Analysis Labs (Jackson, Michigan), January and February 2026. Seven flavours named MGM-15, each found to contain “15,16-Dihydro-7(OH)-Mitragynine” at 2.6 to 3.5 per cent by weight and no 7-OH or mitragynine; solvents passed, with methanol at 72.7 micrograms a gram in the Cotton Candy sample. Its header reads “Sample: MGM-15 (Cotton Candy) (Edible Solid) • Client: Ritually Pure”.[72]
  • Cora Science (Austin, Texas), September 2026. Two certificates, both for “Ritually Pure, LLC”. I22704, a liquid named MIT: mitragynine 4.19 mg per ml and total Mitragyna alkaloids 5.19 mg per ml (“mitragynine report results 4.19 mg/mL”), 7-OH below quantitation.[82] If that is the MIT+ Liquid, its 22.5 ml bottle holds about 117 mg of the measured alkaloids against the 225 mg the listing claims; the company says its laboratories cannot identify its alkaloid. I22705, named Smacks, a “liquid botanical extract”: mitragynine, 7-OH, paynantheine, speciogynine and speciociliatine all below the limit of quantitation, and “Total Mitragyna Alkaloids Report Results <LOQ mg/mL 0.029”.[12] That certificate says what BodySlam does not contain. It does not say what it does.

A Cora Science certificate of analysis, sample I22705, received 11 September 2026, reported 15 September 2026, client Ritually Pure, LLC, 3380 Sheridan Dr, #123, Buffalo, NY 14226; sample name Smacks, a liquid botanical extract, photographed as three black bottles labelled SMACKS; mitragynine, 7-hydroxymitragynine, paynantheine, speciogynine, speciociliatine and total Mitragyna alkaloids all below the limit of quantitation, 0.029 mg/mL.
Figure 16. The laboratory report behind BodySlam, under its earlier name. Six rows, all below what the method can measure. [12]

For Lumen no certificate had been published by 2026-10-16.

A community tester, 2025. TestMyKratom bought three products in February 2025 and graded all three F. The 54 mg tablet: “Ritually Pure 54mg Chillpops tablet contained 13.20mg of 7-hydroxy which was about 76% weaker than its 54mg claim”. The 50 mg shot: “Ritually Pure liquid shot contained 22.23mg of 7-hydroxy which was about 56% weaker than its 50mg claim”. The 25 mg tablet held 23.69 mg, and failed for another reason: “the reason this product received an F rating is that it tested positive for Methanol at levels that Anresco Laboratories deemed too high”.[71] The Anresco certificate a buyer reposted reads 3,700 micrograms a gram of methanol against a limit of 3,000, “Methanol failure confirmed with retest”, and lists mitragynine pseudoindoxyl as well.[54]

A phone photograph of an Anresco Laboratories certificate for TestMyKratom.org, sample 1279735, Ritually Pure Chillpops 7-OH tablet, lot 2025-02, reported 02/20/2025: an alkaloid table with 7-OH mitragynine 23.69 mg per serving, and a residual solvent screen marked Fail in which methanol reads 3700 against a limit of 3000; a comment line reads Methanol failure confirmed with retest.
Figure 17. The certificate behind TestMyKratom's F for the 25 mg tablet, as a buyer reposted it in June 2025: methanol 3,700 against a limit of 3,000, confirmed on retest. [54]

The same tester, 2026. Four 12 mg MGM tablets from a March 2026 batch held between 8.06 and 9.47 mg of MGM-15: “Ritually Pure 12mg MGM Green Apple tablets contained 8.06mg of MGM-15 which was about 33% weaker than its 12mg claim”, and at the top, “RP Pure 12mg MGM Tutti Frutti tablets contained 9.47mg of MGM-15 which was about 21% weaker than its 12mg claim”. The chocolate shot: its “40mg MGM Chocolate shot contained zero MGM-15”.[83] The tablets were graded B and C; the shot F.

Kanna. The March 2026 certificate posted in r/Kanna found no Sceletium alkaloids in RP's kanna tablet. It was run by a laboratory that commenters tie to a kanna seller, and a competing kanna shop offered an independent retest in the same thread.[59]

Methanol in the powder. The May 2026 posts read RP's own certificate for its MGM powder as about 24,000 parts per million of methanol.[60] The company's answer is on the powder page today (above, under the drama). The certificate image itself was not in an archived copy we could read; the figure is the posters'.

This site's lab-results section holds no test of a Ritually Pure product.

Regulatory and legal

An FDA search of its warning-letter index on 2026-10-16, for Ritually Pure, rituallypure, Sandstone Springs and Bordynuik, found no letter.[84]

The federal schedule. The DEA's temporary order placing MGM-15, MGM-16 and mitragynine pseudoindoxyl in Schedule I took effect on 2026-08-26: “This temporary order is effective August 26, 2026, until August 26, 2028”.[63] RP had sold tablets whose certificates name MGM-15 since 2025. After the order its site said it had “removed affected products”, and it sells MIT+ under the certificates described above.[11] On 2026-10-14 the DEA published notice of its intent to place 7-OH and pseudoindoxyl above a threshold in Schedule I.[85] The site also told Florida buyers in September that “Florida banned MIT+ with certain limits on June 22”.[11]

What it tells buyers about the law. The site ships with a list of excluded states and counties, carries a click-through age gate (“I am 21 or older”), and says BodySlam is “compliant in all states”.[2]

The 7OHM trademark. Sandstone Springs' kratom mark was refused in a nonfinal office action of 2025-10-01 and abandoned on 2026-01-02. The office action itself was not in the record we could read, so the ground of refusal is not known.[16]

Platforms. The moderators of r/7_hydroxymitragynine answer posts about RP with a standing note that the vendor “has been identified as a scammer and/or is not allowed in our communities”, as on 2026-10-13.[69] Their word, not ours. In r/MGM_Fifteen a member wrote in May 2026 that RP had been banned from that subreddit; we found no moderator's notice of it.[60]

Still open

What Lumen is. No certificate had been published by 2026-10-16; the listing promised one within the week.

What BodySlam's “new alkaloid” is. The only certificate tests for five Mitragyna alkaloids and finds none.

Who owns Ritually Pure LLC. The state's register names a registered agent and no members; the trademark, the shipping notice and the image host point to Sandstone Springs, and posters to Bordynuik. No document we read joins the LLC to either.

Whether the MIT+ tablets sold after August 2026 contain MGM-15. The certificates the site files under MIT+ say so for the batch shipped before April 2026; no test of a later MIT+ tablet has been published.

What became of the 2025 pet product, and of the Accuscience and Chemical Analytica tests promised in January 2025. A search of the site's archived copies and of the Reddit archive found neither.

If you bought a Ritually Pure product and had it tested, rate it below or comment on the thread at the foot of this page.
