The long read

Figure 1. The home page, October 13, 2026. The brand sells its tablets as a leaked laboratory protocol and says it is not a wellness brand. [1]
Who they say they are, and what the record says
The site introduces the brand in a voice borrowed from a spy film: “WE ARE NOT A WELLNESS BRAND”, and the tablets are fragments of a leaked research protocol.[2] It does not give a company name. Its footer gives an address, “112 Argus Lane STE A 403 Mooreseville NC, 28817”, an email address and a telephone number.[2] The town is Mooresville, North Carolina, whose ZIP code is 28117; “Ste A 403” is the numbering of a mailbox suite, not of a factory. The domain was registered in June 2025, according to the .com registry, and the oldest certificates the brand publishes were received by the laboratory on September 9, 2025.[3]
The site's Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn links lead to accounts named for DazeD8, a hemp THC brand, not to accounts of Meta Tabz. The brand's certificates are made out to four different clients: META Tabz in 2025 and February 2026, TRINITY LABZ in March and August 2026, Trifecta in August, and Dazed in September.[4][5][6][7][8] We found no trademark application for KLAZ, SUPER KLAZ, META TABZ or METATABZ at the USPTO. Who owns the brand is not on any page we read.
What they sell
Six lines, sold in smoke shops and gas stations. The site does not sell them itself; each product panel links to an online retailer.
Klaz is sold as a tablet of premium cat's claw extract, with the assurance “No 7-OH. No THC. No psilocybin.”[2] The boxes read 100 mg for two tablets, premium cat's claw extract (Uncaria tomentosa), and down the side, contains no 7-OH. Behind the brand name on each box is a second logo, 7max.[9]

Figure 2. Klaz on a Tennessee shelf, August 2026, photographed by a county prevention coalition. The 7max logo sits behind the brand name; the side of each box says it contains no 7-OH. [9]
Super Klaz appeared on the site after July 2026; the certificate page archived on July 11 lists “KLAZ Cats Claw– Great Grape COA” and “7MAX Strawberry COA” and nothing for Super Klaz.[10] It is an eight-tablet pouch with “640MG total extract”, and a 100 mg single tablet.[1] A retailer lists the large pack as “640mg 8ct 80mg tab”.[11]

Figure 3. A Super Klaz 8-pack, photographed by a buyer in September 2026: 640 mg of cat's claw extract, the pouch says, and no 7-OH. [12]
7Max was on the site by June 2026: “50mg tablets designed for those seeking a new dimension with precision dosing”, “Powered by active, plant-based alkaloids”.[2] The page does not name the alkaloid. The retailer Kures does: “meta tabz 7max 7oh kratom extract tablet grape 100mg 2ct 50mg tab”.[11] So does the pouch in the photograph on the brand's own certificate, which reads 7-Hydroxymitragynine (7-OH).[4] 7-OH is a semi-synthetic opioid made from kratom; its page is here. It was still listed on the home page and the certificate page in October 2026.[1][13]

Figure 4. Super Klaz, Klaz and 7Max on one page. Klaz says no 7-OH. The 7Max panel names no compound; the brand's own certificate for it reports 7-OH. [1]
Max Botanicals, the newest, is sold with “No 7OH. No Kratom. No Pseudo.” and is “Powered by a botanical blend of nymphaea and corydalis”;[1] the pouch adds cat's claw. Ketakapz capsules: “Each capsule contains 250mg of a classified nootropic compound”, which the site never names.[2] Shroomz are tablets sold in the mushroom aisle; a buyer in June 2026 asked whether to choose them or a rival's gummies.[14]

What buyers report
Method: on October 13, 2026 we searched the local archive of 99 subreddits for Klaz, Super Klaz and Meta Tabz in titles and post text. About 100 posts match, from June 6 to October 12, 2026, most in r/CorynoxineBCatsClaw, r/quittingcatsclaw and r/catsclawtablets. We read 42 threads in full. These are anecdotes, dated.
The brand first appears in a mushroom-product forum in June 2026. In July a buyer reported “another new one called klaz” from the same company.[16] The first Super Klaz post, on July 10, came from Tennessee, nine days after the state's kratom ban: “i am in tennessee and the ban has hit me hard”.[17] In August a South Carolina buyer wrote that a vape-shop owner had said they were “about to come out with something called metatabz that are made from kratom and just as strong as 7oh”.[18]
From September the threads are about change. A buyer noticed in September that a new Super Klaz tablet was a different shape: “the tablet is not rounded like the others”.[19] Another, reviewing the brands in October, wrote of Klaz that “every new batch is totally different from the last”.[20] Of a batch back on Tennessee shelves in October: “they absolutely do nothing”.[21] A buyer taking three Super Klaz packs a day wrote that “they changed their formula months ago” and described a sleepless night of anxiety on the newest one.[22] One buyer reported a racing heart, two nights running, after Klaz Tropical Fruit: “heart rate jumped to 150”.[23] On October 8 a buyer said a shop had told them “they did inform me that the super klaz will be going away”.[24]
Two buyers in October said the backs of the newest packs name an ingredient the site does not. “Both of these packs say on the back that they have dhm in them mgm15,” wrote one, of two Super Klaz packs.[25] Another, of Klaz: “the ingredients on the back list dhm”.[26] DHM is a name MGM-15 is sold under; its page is here. No photograph of that label survives in either thread, and we have not seen one. Earlier, one buyer claimed Klaz “had trace amount of 7 and pseudo and had mgm in them”, without a test to show.[27] Another said a Super Klaz grape tablet was identical to a Script Botanicals tablet: “super klaz grape which is litteraly maui labs scripts 100”.[28]
Lab results
The brand publishes 27 certificates, all from PharmLabs in San Diego, a laboratory accredited to ISO/IEC 17025, using liquid chromatography with an ultraviolet detector.[8] The method recognises only compounds the laboratory has a reference standard for. All 27 report the compounds tested as not detected, except one.

Figure 6. Every certificate the brand publishes, in one table. Four client names; one sample stands for every flavour in three lines. [13]
7MAX. One certificate, filed under all four flavours, for a sample the laboratory recorded as 7OH, tested for META Tabz in February 2026. It reports 7-hydroxymitragynine at 3.05 per cent: 18.22 mg in a unit of 0.598 g, with one serving to the unit, and 0.10 mg of mitragynine.[4] The pouch in its photograph reads 100 mg for two tablets, and the site and the retailer say 50 mg a tablet.[2][11] If the unit is one tablet, as its weight and serving count suggest, the tablet held about 36 per cent of the 7-OH on the label.

Figure 7. The brand's 7MAX certificate, February 2026: 18.22 mg of 7-OH in a unit of 0.598 g. The pouch in the photograph says 7-hydroxymitragynine and 100 mg for two tablets. [4]
Klaz, March 2026. One certificate, filed under three flavours, for a sample called META-KLAZ tested for TRINITY LABZ. Cannabinoids and the five kratom compounds on the panel: not detected.[5]

Figure 8. The Klaz certificate of March 2026, filed on the site under three flavours. The client is Trinity Labz, not Meta Tabz. [5]
Super Klaz, August 2026. One certificate, filed under all five flavours with a different pack photographed on each, for a sample called META-TAB-SUPKLAZ-CC0168 tested for Trifecta. Cannabinoids, 7-OH, MGM-15, mitragynine, two other kratom alkaloids, muscimol, ibotenic acid, psilocybin and psilocin: not detected. The laboratory added a note that the sample contains an unidentified peak, a compound it does not test for.[7] A buyer posted the same certificate in September and a reply read it correctly: “the test is negative for everything”.[29]

Figure 9. The Super Klaz certificate, August 2026. Everything on the list is not detected, and the laboratory found a peak it could not identify. [7]
Klaz 2-pack, September 2026. Four certificates, one per flavour, listed on the site under the heading “KLAZ 2.0”.[13] The first is for “KLAZ-VERY CHERRY-2PK-CC0168”, “Tested for Dazed”, “Received Sep 15, 2026”.[8] Its laboratory note records two changes: on September 21, “Sample name corrected as per client request”, and on September 25 a photograph uploaded at the client's request.[8] The sample name now carries the batch code CC0168, the code on the August Super Klaz sample made out to Trifecta. The kratom table is dated “Analyzed Sep 14, 2026”, the day before the date the laboratory gives for receiving the sample.[8] As printed, the analysis predates the sample's arrival; the certificate does not explain it. The header lists “Analyses executed 1BD, KTM”, and only the kratom table is printed.[8] The other three 2-pack certificates carry the same dates and the same note.

Figure 10. One of the four Klaz 2-pack certificates of September 2026. The sample was renamed at the client's request, and the analysis date is the day before the date the laboratory received it. [8]
Max Botanicals, August 2026. Five certificates, one per flavour, all batch BT0188, tested for Trinity Labz: the kratom panel not detected.[6]
What none of the 27 measures is the ingredient on the label. No certificate tests for any alkaloid of cat's claw, for corydalis or blue lotus, or for any opioid outside the kratom panel. The certificates show what the samples did not contain from a short list; they do not show what the tablets are. Our article on label against lab explains why a panel like this cannot.
The batch code CC0168 also appears outside Meta Tabz. A buyer photographed a Wingz card, a different brand with a different ingredient list, carrying a printed sticker reading BATCH ID CC0168, and said a Super Klaz pack had the “same exact sticker same batch number”.[30] A batch code shared by two brands suggests one packer behind both; it does not show what either contains.

Figure 11. A different brand, Wingz, photographed by a buyer in October 2026, with a batch sticker reading CC0168: the batch code on Meta Tabz's Super Klaz and Klaz certificates. [30]
This site's lab-results section holds no test of a Meta Tabz product.
Marketing and disclosure
The Klaz panel says “No 7-OH.”[2] on a site that sold 7Max beside it, and the Klaz boxes carry the 7max logo. Every product panel says the tablets are “Field-tested for consistency and safety”; no study or test is named.[1] The site says nothing about the legal status of 7-OH, kratom or cat's claw in any state. Its footer says “Must be 21 years or older to purchase from this website” and “Void Where Prohibited by Law”;[1] there is no age gate on the pages.

Figure 12. The certificate page in October 2026. The KLAZ 2.0 and Super Klaz lists were added after July; 7MAX is still there. [13]
Regulatory and legal
On October 1, 2026 the Shelby County District Attorney announced the seizure of nearly 30,000 packages from a Memphis wholesaler, and said that products found in the investigation were “packaged or marketed using terms including” KLAZ, Botanical Extract and Cat's Claw.[31] The task force's director said of them: “it has been chemically manipulated it is accompanied by fake lab tests and it is deadly”.[31] The release does not name Meta Tabz or say which certificates it means. The wholesaler's dossier has the raid. In August a Tennessee county prevention coalition found “chewable tablets sold under the names buzzers and klaz” in local stores and told residents “do not consume them”.[9] The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation warned in September of tablets sold as cat's claw “that actually contain mgm 15 which is a compound made from kratom”, without naming a brand.[32]
Buyers describe more than has been published. In September a Tennessee buyer wrote that a shop owner showed them an email from the TBI to retailers in which “it listed ice tabz and klaz by name”.[33] Another wrote that a shop owner said “tbi tested all cats claws and klaz nuke euphoria icy tabz”, with positive results.[34] A Louisiana buyer wrote that shops had “received notices to pull those two brands off the shelf”, Klaz and Buzzers.[35] We found no published TBI or Louisiana document that names Klaz.
MGM-15 has been a Schedule I drug nationwide under a temporary order since August 26, 2026: “this temporary order is effective august 26 2026 until august 26 2028”.[36] If the newest packs do list DHM, as two buyers say, they name a controlled substance. An FDA site search for the brand's names on October 13, 2026 found no warning letter or recall.[37]
Some buyers have also repeated a claim that fentanyl analogues were found in Klaz. Our article on that claim traces it to a presumptive field test in another county and says what has and has not been published.
Still open
- What Klaz, Super Klaz and the newest packs contain. The certificates test for a list that does not include the label's ingredient, and one reports a compound it could not identify.[7]
- Whether the newest packs list DHM. Two buyers say so; no photograph of the label has been posted.[25][26]
- Who Trinity Labz, Trifecta and Dazed are, and how each relates to Meta Tabz. The certificates name them as clients and say nothing more.
- Why the September 2-pack certificates were renamed and why their analysis date precedes their receipt date. The laboratory's note records that the names were corrected at the client's request.[8]
- What the TBI found in the samples from the Memphis seizure. Nothing published by October 13, 2026.
