Links — the sites this one leans on, and vouches for

Every card in this section is a page we wrote about a URL: what the site is, what you will find there, and one or two screen grabs of it as a signed-out visitor sees it, captured on the date the page says. The grabs are our own work and show the site as it was that day; the description on each page is the site's own, quoted and attributed, not our paraphrase.

Why these links are different from every other link on the site

A link in a post or a comment here is marked nofollow — the same default every forum uses, so that nobody can post a URL to borrow this site's standing for it. The one link on a Links page — the Visit button — is not. It is followed, because it is staff saying, in public, that the site is worth your time. That is the whole point of the section: the instruments this site is built from (DEA's NFLIS data, the Federal Register, PubChem, Erowid), the allies it features, and the communities and accounts worth knowing about get a real inbound link, not a hedged one.

What will never be here

No vendors, no sourcing, no "where to buy" — not as a link, not as a screenshot, not as a comment under one. The tool that writes these pages refuses a link tagged as a vendor before it fetches a byte, and a page that turns into a sourcing thread will be locked. This is the same line the whole site holds, and it is a legal posture, not a preference.

Suggesting a link

A link post here is official content, so members cannot add one directly. Post the URL and a sentence on why in the General section, or under this page if comments are open, and it will be read.
